BAGHDAD, Iraq – Acting on tips from concerned citizens, Coalition Forces conducted a series of raids on suspected terrorist and foreign fighter safe houses in the town of Husaybah Oct. 29, killing an estimated 10 terrorists. The houses were used as launch points to conduct attacks against local Iraqi citizens, Iraqi security and Coalition forces. During the raids, which occurred simultaneously in two separate neighborhoods of Husaybah, Coalition forces were engaged by numerous terrorists. Firefights developed at both locations, during which Coalition forces called in close air support and destroyed both of the terrorist strongholds. While Coalition Forces were leaving the area, they were alerted to another suspected terrorist house with fortified fighting positions. After further investigation, Coalition Forces called in an air strike, destroying the terrorist stronghold with precision guided munitions. Foreign-fighter leader targeted BAGHDAD, Iraq – Coalition Forces, using precision air strike capabilities, targeted a senior al Qaeda in Iraq foreign fighter who was believed to be holding a meeting with other senior members of the terror organization in Husaybah Oct. 28. Sources indicated Abu Mahmud and the other leaders were meeting to discuss an attack on Iraqi security or Coalition forces in the coming days. Abu Mahmud, believed to be a Saudi, was the commander of several foreign fighter and terrorist cells in Husaybah, and was linked to several al Qaeda in Iraq and foreign fighter facilitators in the al Qaim, Karabilah, and Husaybah areas. Mahmud directed, planned and executed a large amount of the foreign fighter attacks on Iraqi security and Coalition forces, to include most SVBIED and IED attacks. He was also personally active in direct attacks against Iraqi and Coalition forces. The use of precision guided munitions to destroy the two adjoining foreign fighter safe houses and the timing of the strike mitigated the risk to civilians in the local area. The UN team managed to designate a sum of 350 million dollars from the main resources of agencies and other resources, for the purpose of reconstructing the new Iraq. “Prospects are very good for coalition force presence becoming less … that (the size of the cuts) is just something that our operational commanders above me will decide as they look at the total theater requirements,” said Taluto, whose 42nd Division will soon be replaced in Iraq by units of the U.S. 101st Airborne Division. “During our time (since February), we have been able to close 10 U.S. Forward Operating Bases, turning most of those over to Iraqi Army units, therefore reducing coalition force presence,” he told reporters. “Soon the former palace complexes of Saddam Hussein in Tikrit, once the headquarters of ‘Task Force Liberty’ and the 42nd Division, will be turned over to the people of Iraq,” the general added. “We’ll be leaving there … the month of November.” “Substantial progress has been made in organizing, training and equipping Iraqi security forces. In February … we had one (Iraqi) division headquarters, four brigades and 14 battalions. Today, we have two division headquarters, five brigades and 18 battalions.”

Looney In Iran shitting himself after a mild rebuke from the UN
Koffing Anus issues a mild rebuke to the naughty leader of Iran.
Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad was crapping himself after Koffing Anus said he was 'dismayed' over the Iranian's Presidents speech saying he wanted to wipe Israel off the map.
Yes with such hard talk its really good to know that that the future of the planet is in the hands of the thief, sorry alleged thief Koffing Anus(or was that his son bono, or fido or whatever the robbing bastard was called) acting in a firm and decisive manner on dangerous states that plan to nuke their enemies off the map.HURRAH for the UN and its galliant leader Koffing Anus.

Iran Focus
Tehran, Iran, Oct. 29 – Iran’s powerful ultra-Islamist group, Motalefeh, urged President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad on Saturday to resume nuclear enrichment in full, adding that the West’s threats to take Iran to the Security Council or to launch a military attack are fading.The front-page editorial in the weekly journal of the Islamic Alliance Party, known as Motalefeh, which hit Tehran’s newsstands on Saturday, bore the title, “Restart Natanz”.
Natanz is a key uranium enrichment site in central Iran. Its existence was completely concealed by the Iranian authorities, until an opposition group, the National Council of Resistance of Iran, revealed it for the first time in August 2002.
“The hegemonist U.S. leaders are becoming insane and desperate at the sight of proud Iranians reaching the pinnacle of peaceful nuclear technology”, the editorial, signed by Assadollah Badamchian, a leading Islamist figure, wrote.
Referring to Western leaders, Badamchian said, “They are very angry and anxious, because despite all their various conspiracies against the Islamic Revolution and Iran… Iran has been able to reach the pinnacle of nuclear technology”. He added, “They are desperate now, because they have seen that they have no option and they could not deprive Iran of this technology”.
“They made noisy threats against Iran out of despair, hoping that Iran would retreat”, he wrote. “Inside, some cowards and some elements aligned with the Americans were recommending that Iran drink the chalice of poison and abandon its peaceful nuclear program”.
“The Supreme Leader and the top officials and the great nation of Iran laughed at these threats and the fearful cowards and the supporters of America”, the editorial added.
“Now the Americans and the Europeans have tried all options. Mrs. Rice’s repeated trips have brought her no gains. They showed that despite all U.S. offers, other countries will not sacrifice their long-term national interests for short-term gains”.
“The Europeans should know that they will gain nothing from going along with the U.S. They will only lose their economic interests to powerful rivals like China and Russia”, Badamchian, who is close to Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, wrote.
“The IAEA [International Atomic Energy Agency] has lost its unanimity on Iran”, he added. “Now, only two threats remain: to refer Iran to the Security Council, or to launch a unilateral U.S. attack on Iran. Both threats have subsided greatly and continue to fade away”, he wrote, adding that the Islamic Republic must speedily resume all its nuclear activities and announce it to the world.

Fucking Barbarians
Three girls have been beheaded and another badly injured as they walked to a Christian school in Indonesia. They were walking through a cocoa plantation near the city of Poso in central Sulawesi province when they were attacked. This is an area that has a long history of religious violence between Muslims and Christians.
A government-brokered truce has only partially succeeded in reducing the number of incidents in recent years. Police say the heads were found some distance from the bodies. It is unclear what was behind the attack, but the girls attended a private Christian school and one of the heads was left outside a church leading to speculation that it might have had a religious motive.
Central Sulawesi and Poso in particular was the scene of bitter fighting between Muslims and Christians in 2001 and 2002. Muslim gang members carry makeshift rifles as Christian homes burn in sectarian violence-wracked Poso, December 2001. More than 1,000 people were killed before a government-brokered truce.
Although the violence has been subdued, it has never gone away completely. A bomb in May in the nearby town of Tentena, which is predominantly Christian, killed 22 people and injured over 30. The fighting four years ago drew Islamic militants from all over Indonesia and many have never gone home.
Analysts say the militants have targeted central Sulawesi and believe that it could be turned into the foundation stone of an Islamic state. The analysts have warned that the violence could resurface at any time.
** Ok get this, now this is fucking disgusting shit from untermenten savages in the US that should be killed at the first opportunity. PARIS, Oct 28 (KUNA) -- Amid growing concern with the resumption of suicide attacks and retaliatory murders between Palestinians and Israelis, France called Friday on both sides to be careful not to succumb to the temptation of violence and to do everything to stop it.
"After the odious attack committed Wednesday in Israel (when five were killed in a bombing), everything must be put in place to put an end to the escalation in the violence which is taking root again today," Foreign Ministry spokesman Jean-Baptiste Mattei said Friday.
"In this context," he added "we recall that the practice of targeted assassinations is contrary to international law," a blunt reminder to Israel that the murder of Palestinian militants, and often nearby innocent bystanders, is not helping the situation. ** Gutess frogs ask for the people of Israel to put their lives on the line to keep frog business interests with the arabs sweet.

Iran - Various Bits & bits on the war in Iraq
*And from the war in Iraq bits the BBC wont report as it shows the lovely Islamonazis losing. Thats what I love about my state broadcaster that forces me to pay for a tv licence costing over £100 a year and yet fails to show anything positive about the UK/US the war on terror that was started by the Islamofascists..."[The West] is always making demands and thinks that the whole world must be obedient to their demands, so therefore it is natural that they show such a reaction to reasonable remarks," the president said in reference to worldwide condemnation of his wish to see Israel eradicated from the Islamic world.
The news agency Fars quoted Ahmadinejad as saying that "the struggle against Zionism must go on".
The president was among thousands of people who took part in state-organised anti-Israel rallies on Friday in Tehran and other cities around the country.
Ahmadinejad was accompanied by several Cabinet ministers, including Foreign Minister Manuchehr Mottaki.
*And more...Tehran, 26 Oct. (AKI) - A self-styled Islamic Army in Iran has said it would like to elminate 210 journalists in the country. The list, recently circulated in Tehran, includes almost all the independent journalists who have not been recognised by the new government of hardline president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. In the few lines preceding the long list of dissident journalists, the authorities promise "to liberate the Islamic revolution" of Ayatollah Khomeini, which has been "taken hostage by the hacks who are in the service of the enemies of Islam." Anyone mentioned in the list "is worthy of death as much as enemies of Allah and his word."
** And more..."They are free to say but their words lack any credit. They are rude, falsely thinking that whole the world should be subordinate to them," Ahmadinejad made the remark in an interview with IRNA on the sidelines of the World Qods Day rallies in Tehran in response to western media and officials reaction to his recent statements.

Terrorists fleeing attack scenes nabbed by U.S. Soldiers
BAGHDAD, Iraq --Task Force Baghdad Soldiers continued to engage enemy terrorist forces during combat operations Oct. 24-26 in various neighborhoods of the capitol city.
While on patrol, the U.S. Soldiers found and destroyed several improvised explosive devices before they could be detonated. Other Coalition forces successes included discovering several weapons caches and detaining suspected terrorists who were often caught fleeing the scene of their attacks.
One team of terrorists attempting to place an IED along a road west of Baghdad was spotted by U.S. forces who then engaged them with gunfire. Some of the would-be bombers fled in a truck, while other terrorists fired back at the Soldiers pursuing them. Within the hour, two of the terrorists had been detained by Task Force Baghdad Soldiers.
Another U.S. patrol operating southwest of Baghdad Oct. 24 found an IED consisting of three 155 mm rounds. The patrol detained one individual in the area who was in possession of an AK-47 assault rifle, a shotgun and a trigger device. A U.S. explosives ordnance disposal team was called in to destroy the IED.
On Oct. 26, a U.S. patrol in the al-Doura district in southeast Baghdad found and destroyed an IED which consisted of four 122 mm rounds, a 130 mm round and a land mine.
Another Task Force Baghdad patrol struck an IED Oct. 25 southwest of Baghdad. There were no injuries or damage from the blast. As Soldiers were securing the site, they noticed two individuals fleeing the scene. The U.S. Soldiers detained the two terror suspects for further questioning.
Task Force Baghdad Soldiers continued to aggressively hunt down stockpiles of weapons and bomb-making materials in order to deny terrorists the opportunity to use them against Iraqi security forces, Iraqi civilians or Coalition forces.
On Oct. 24, one unit north of Baghdad excavated more than 120 mortar rounds, 49 tank and artillery rounds, eight cases of small-arms ammunition, dozens of rockets, three boxes of mortar fuses, a rocket-propelled grenade warhead and two anti-aircraft gun barrels. An EOD team destroyed the cache while Task Force Baghdad Soldiers detained 12 individuals for further questioning about the weapons cache.
Earlier that same day, another unit revisiting the site of an earlier weapons cache west of Baghdad found more munitions piled at the same site, including 12 hand grenades, three 125 mm rounds and one 115 mm round. That cache was also destroyed by an EOD team.

Transcript of speech by Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad at “World Without Zionism” conference in Tehran
Reported by Iranian government-owned news agency ISNA on 26 October 2005 at 13:10 local time (for original Persian text see: http://www.isna.ir/Main/NewsView.aspx?ID=News-603209)
Tehran, Iran, Oct. 28 – Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad made a keynote speech on Wednesday at the gathering of 4,000 students organised by the Association of Islamic Students Societies. The text follows:
I am grateful to God for giving me the great pleasure of speaking at this very important gathering. I thank God for seeing the pious faces of you, the valiant, aware, God-fearing and selfless children of the revolution, who understand with vigilance and intelligence the most important issues of our times and are active with great zest and in a decisive way in the most central issues of the Islamic world. I thank God for the presence of you dear young people.
The real question is what is Zionism? No doubt there have been many discussions in this conference on this issue and you have made studies in this regard, and you may know what I want to emphasize, but it is something worth mentioning.
We must see what the real story of Palestine is. Is the conflict in Palestine a war between some Jews on the one side and Muslims and non-Jews on the other side? Is it a war between the Jews and other faiths? Is it the war of one country with other countries? Is it the war of one country with the Arab world? Is the conflict only over the limited lands of Palestine? I think the answer to all these questions is negative.
The creation of the regime occupying Al-Qods (Jerusalem) was a heavy move by the globally dominant system and Global Arrogance against the Islamic world. There is a historic battle going on between the Oppressor World and the Islamic world and the roots of this conflict goes back hundreds of years.
In this historic conflict, the fronts have shifted many times. There were times when the Muslims had the upper hand and were active and forward-moving, while the Oppressor World was on retreat.
Unfortunately, in the past three hundred years, the Islamic world has been on retreat in the face of the Oppressor World.
I do not intend to go to the roots of the issue and I concentrate on a historical review of the events. In the past one hundred years, the last trenches of the Islamic world fell and the Oppressor World created the regime occupying Al-Qods as the bridgehead for its domination of the Islamic world. Bridgehead is a military term in warfare. When two divisions or armies are fighting each other, if one side advances and breaks through the front and captures a piece of enemy territory and builds up fortifications and strengthens its hold to make it a base for further territorial expansion, then we call this a bridgehead.
The occupying state (Israel) is the bridgehead of the Oppressor World in the heart of the Islamic world. They have built a base to expand their domination to the entire Islamic world. There is no other raison d’etre for this entity without this objective.
The battle that is going on in Palestine today, therefore, is the frontline of the conflict between the Islamic world and the Oppressor World. It is a battle of destiny that will determine the fate of hundreds of years of conflict in Palestine.
Today, the Palestinian nation is fighting the Oppressor World on behalf of the Islamic umma (nation). Thank God, from the day the Palestinian nation moved towards an Islamic struggle with Islamic objectives and an Islamic environment, and made Islam the dominating force in its behaviour and orientation, we have been witnessing the progress and successes of the Palestinian nation every day.
I must say that you have chosen a very valuable title for your gathering [World Without Zionism]. Many are sowing the seeds of defeat and despair in this all-out war between the Islamic world and the Infidel Front, hoping to dishearten the Islamic world.
Such people are using words like “it’s not possible”. They say how could we have a world without America and Zionism? But you know well that this slogan and goal can be achieved and can definitely be realised”.
If we take a look back, we had in our country a regime that was very violent, anti-popular, dependent on foreigners, and armed to its teeth. Members of SAVAK [the Shah’s secret police] controlled every move and a terrible reign of terror existed.
But when the dear Imam [Ruhollah Khomeini] said this regime must be destroyed, and we want a world without a client state, many of those who claim to be political gurus and other things said it’s not possible. The day when the Imam started his move, all the powers of the world supported that corrupt regime. Even after the massacre of Black Friday, the West and the East and regional powers all supported the regime. But our nation fought and now for 27 years we have a government that is independent of America. The Imam said the domination of the East and the West must be destroyed, but weak-minded persons, who only see the little world around them, didn’t believe him…
Our dear Imam ordered that the occupying regime in Al-Qods be wiped off the face of the earth. This was a very wise statement. The issue of Palestine is not one on which we could make a piecemeal compromise… This would mean our defeat. Anyone who would recognize this state [Israel] has put his signature under the defeat of the Islamic world.
In his struggle against the World Arrogance, our dear Imam targeted the central and command base of the enemy, namely the occupying regime in Al-Qods. I have no doubt that the new wave that has started in dear Palestine and which we witness today all over the Islamic world will soon wipe this scourge of shame from the Islamic world. This can be done.
We have to watch out for conspiracies. For more than 50 years, the World Arrogance has tried to give recognition to the existence of this fake regime [Israel] and they have make many efforts to first stabilize it and then take further steps.
Some 27 or 28 years ago, they took an important step in this regard and, unfortunately, one of the frontline countries made this mistake, and we hope that country [Egypt] will rectify its mistake.
Recently, a new conspiracy has been plotted and is underway. They have been forced to evacuate a corner of Palestine and this was imposed on them by the Palestinian nation. But they want to sell this as the final victory and use the evacuation of Gaza and the creation of a Palestinian state as an excuse to end the Palestinian cause and goal.
Today they are making an evil and deceptive effort to turn the struggle into an internal conflict of the Islamic world. They want to create conflict among Palestinian groups inside Palestine by making them greedy for political positions or high office, so that these groups abandon the decisive issue fo Palestine and turn on each other.
With the excuse of having cleared the Gaza Strip to show their good will, they want a group of Muslim nations to recognise this corrupt regime, and I am very hopeful and pray to God that the Palestinian nation and the dear Palestinian groups will be cautious of such sedition.
Today the unity of the front in Palestine on its goals is a pressing necessity. The issue of Palestine is by no means finished. The issue of Palestine will only be resolved when all of Palestine comes under Palestinian rule, when all the refugees return to their homes, and when a popular government chosen by this nation takes the affairs in its hands. Of course, those who have come to this land from far away to plunder this land have no right to participate in the decision-making process for this nation.
I am hopeful that just as the Palestinian nation continued its struggle for the past ten years, it will continue to maintain its awareness and vigilance. This phase is going to be short-lived. If we put it behind us successfully, God willing, it will pave the way for the annihilation of the Zionist regime and it will be a downhill route.
I warn all the leaders in the Islamic world to beware of this conspiracy. If any of them takes a step towards the recognition of this regime [Israel], then he will burn in the fire of the Islamic umma (nation) and will have eternal shame stamped on his forehead, regardless of whether he did this under pressure by the dominant powers, or lack of understanding or naiveté or selfishness or worldly incentives.
The issue of Palestine is the issue of the Islamic world. Those who are closeted behind closed doors cannot make decisions on this issue and the Islamic nation does not allow this historical enemy to exist at the heart of the Islamic world.
A Worthy Cause
** Thanks to Lost budgie for the story, this stuff is horrific and puts the problems that we think we have into perpective.
The Pakistan's widely known as human rights activist Ansar Burney, Chairman; Ansar Burney Welfare Trust International has announced on Sunday that Fifty more rescued underage former child camel jockeys from UAE will arrive back home next week.
The Pakistani prominent human rights activist Ansar Burney, a person because of whom the UAE, Qatar and Oman has banned use of underage children as Jockeys, has said that dozens of underage Pakistani, Bangladeshi and Sudanese children have already been rescued in UAE and they are at present in the Children center at Abu Dhabi where they are waiting for the traveling documents and other necessary arrangements to go back to their respective countries.
He said dozens of such Pakistani children will arrive back home next week and will be rehabilitated soon.
He said all the 22 children came back from UAE last month, are those who were already rescued in UAE and those who were waiting for their traveling documents in the Abu Dhabi Center.
"We have more than 100 rescued underage children in Abu Dhabi Child care Center belongs from Pakistan, Bangladesh, Oman and some of the African countries and arrangements are being finalized to send them back to their respective countries as early as possible". Ansar Burney said.
The Great efforts of Pakistan’s renowned human and civil rights activist, Ansar Burney, Advocate were became fruitful when after UAE the Qatar government also announced banned use of underage children to work as child camel jockeys in Qatar. The Crown Prince of Qatar in Doha announced severe punishments on use of underage children as camel jockeys. Oman has also announced to ban child slavery from September this month.
Because Ansar Burney’s great efforts to save these children from slave labour and there release from private jails in Middle Eastern and Arab Countries the United States Department of State in it's annual 'Trafficking in Persons' Report issued on 3rd of June 05, has highly applauded the great efforts of Mr Burney, in the field of human rights.
The State Department also declared the name of Ansar Burney from Pakistan as International Hero.
The United States report with a caption 'HEROES ACTING TO END MODERN-DAY SLAVERY' with a picture of Mr Burney, lauded his great services for human rights in Pakistan as well as internationally and declared him as International HERO.
Ansar Burney, the pioneer in this field is the one and only who brought world attention towards the plight of these children and their use as camel jockeys and slave labourers in private jails.
The human rights history has already been changed in UAE, when a new law banning the use of underage children came into force in March this year that was earlier assured by the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and the Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, General Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan to Mr Ansar Burney and Mrs Shaheen Burney, Chairman and Vice Chairperson of the Ansar Burney Welfare Trust International, in October last year
The great credit to stop this menace goes to Pakistan's human rights activist, Ansar Burney, Advocate who played a more than great role to stop the use of underage children on slave labour from Middle Eastern countries.
The Ansar Burney Welfare Trust International had been rigorously working for the rescue and rehabilitation of these children long before the government took the recent steps. In the last few years the Trust managed to rescue hundreds of such children from the slave labour and rehabilitated them in Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Yemen, India, Sudan, Ethiopia and other parts of the world.
"Children as young as two and a half years are used and abused by these people with no regret of their actions or any fear of god. It is a gruesome idea that torturing children and making them disabled at such a young age is considered an enjoyable sport!" Ansar Burney stated.
It may be recalled here that after the restrictions from UAE Mr Burney visited Doha, Qatar where he met with Her Highness Dr Sheikha Ghalia bint Mohammed Al Thani, who heads a high-level committee set up by Amir of Qatar, to combat human trafficking and Chairperson of the Childhood Committee at the Supreme Council for Family Affairs (SCFA). Mr Burney also met other high officials and some foreign missions and discussed in length with them to bane the use of underage children working on slave labour as child camel jockeys in the region and living at private jails.
Later the Qatar government also banned the use of underage children as jockeys.
During his recent visits of Middle Eastern countries Ansar Burney also visited Oman. In Muscat again Mr Burney met the officials and discussed the human rights issue of Child Camel Jockeys, with the Authorities.
According to Ansar Burney Welfare Trust International, thousands of underage children as much as two and a half to seven years old are living in Private Jails and working on slave labour as ‘Child Camel Jockeys’ in the Middle East and other Arab region. They work on slave labour from 17 to 18 hours every day and living alike as in hell.
On the appeal of widely known as human rights ‘Saint’ Ansar Burney, the United Arab Emirates Leadership has already abolished such inhuman practice of use of underage children on 31st of March 05, from the UAE.
Last year in his efforts Mr Ansar Burney, member of the American Bar Association (USA), International Bar Association (UK) and Karachi Bar Association (Pakistan), also visited the Camel race tracks in UAE, Qatar and Muscat, rescued hundreds of kidnapped Pakistani, Bangladeshi and underage children of other nationals to send them back to their respective countries.
Ansar Burney said that these innocent children are brought to the Middle Eastern and Arab countries from poor third world countries, where they are either sold deliberately by their parents to the traffickers in order to use the money to support the rest of their family, or support their own drug or drink habits; while others are kidnapped and brought to these countries by the smuggler agents.
The hectic efforts of Ansar Burney, has changed the history in Middle East as after UAE the Qatar has also banned the use of underage children as jockeys.
It is believed that there could be as many as 35,000 to 40,000 innocent children working in this form of slave labour, whose ages range from one and a half year old to seven years, mostly from Asian countries such as India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, India, Yemen and Sudan working in the most miserable circumstances in Arab countries.
These children, living wretched lives are abused and tortured daily. They live and sleep in hot, crowded huts made from corrugated irons sheets, without electricity in the high desert temperatures of above 52 degrees centigrade. Years of abuse has led these children to have their upper legs flesh rubbed away, their bones and body structures being damaged and their sexual organs destroyed.
The food they are given in the camps is dirty and unhygienic, worse than what is fed to the racing camels. They are forced to train on the camels two or three times a day in the boiling hot temperatures of the desert, after which they have to serve their masters, do what ever chores they are given and are sexually abused by the men running the camps.
During training and in races, these children, mostly boys but also some girls, often fall down and are badly injured or crushed to death. Because the use of underage camel jockeys is illegal, they are never taken to hospital and receive no medical treatment. If they die, their bodies are buried out in the desert in unmarked graves.
The children are fastened to camels with ropes and Velcro to stop them from falling, but the ride is so rough that many do fall. But all are left with deep scars and cuts due to being tied down and forced to ride the camels. One of the so called ‘advantages’ of using children as jockeys is that their terrified painful cries make the camels run even faster.
The trafficking of children for use as camel jockeys is strictly prohibited by the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child and by ILO Conventions 29, 138 and 182 - all of which have been ratified by the UAE, yet all this has been going on for many years. Ansar Burney said.
Newport - Earthquake Appeal and humour bits

** The blogs been getting a tad heavy of late with the islamonazi bits and no offence to the earthquake victims in Pakistan, but this piss take of Newport - my home city came into my e-mail inbox in work and needed to be posted. If you like it make a donation to the real disaster fund for the poor people in Pakistan.
An Earthquake measuring 5.7 on the Richter scale hit Newport last Wednesday morning.
The epicentre was Corporation Road,.
Casualties were seen wandering aimlessly saying "bang out of order" "mental" and "sorted".
The earthquake decimated the area causing in excess of £17.55 worth of damage. Several priceless collections of mementos from Ibiza and Corfu were damaged beyond repair. Three preserved areas for 'burning out cars' were wiped out, these being known locally as being of historic importance.
Many locals were woken before their Giros arrived. One resident, Kylie -Demi Tremarco, a 15 year old single mother of four said "It was such a f**kin shock, little Chardonnay-Destiny came running into my bedroom crying; my hands were shaking that much I could hardly skin-up."
The British Red Cross has so far managed to send 4000 crates of Sunny Delight to the area to help with the crisis. Rescue workers are still searching through the rubble and have found numerous "Elizabeth Duke" sovereign rings, benefit books and Pound Stretcher ornaments.
How can you help?
This appeal hopes to raise money for food and clothing parcels for those unfortunate enough to be caught up in the disaster. Clothing is most sought after. Urgently needed are LaCoste tracksuits, white socks, Burberry caps, Beanie hats and Reebok trainers.
Food parcels are also needed. They should include McCain oven chips, Aldi Beans, Monster Munch and FarmFoods pizza. Sadly fresh supplies of alcohol are also in short supply, especially White Lightning Cider, Tennants Super and Special Brew.
Cash donations are urgently needed and if you send your credit or debit card details the residents will do the rest.
Remember -

YOUR HELP COULD SAVE LIVES
THANK YOU.
** And onto silly stories, found this on the web and its worthy of a post:
A cat ran off with its owners toe after he accidentally chopped it off and then left it on the floor while he called an ambulance.
Udo Ried, 41, was slicing bread in his kitchen in Luebeck, Germany, when he dropped a large kitchen knife onto his bare foot, chopping off his second toe.
While Ried was hopping to the bathroom to get a bandage and at the same time using his mobile phone to call emergency services, his cat Fritz pounced on the bloody toe and ran off with it into the garden.
Ried tried to get the toe back but after a few minutes he was forced to abandon the search to seek medical attention.
A spokesman for Luebeck hospital said they would have been able to reattach the toe if the cat had not stolen it.
** And more humour - well nearly....
Tony Blair was out jogging one morning along the parkway when he tripped, fell over the bridge railing and landed in the creek below. Before the Secret Service guys could get to him, three kids, who were fishing, pulled him out of the water. He was so grateful he offered the kids whatever they wanted.
The first kid said, "I want to go to Disneyland." Tone said, "No problem. I'll take you there on Air Force One". Get my pal George W Bush to help out on that one.
The second kid said, "I want a new pair of Nike Air Jordan's." Blair said, "I'll get them for you and even have Michael sign them"!
The third kid said, "I want a motorised wheelchair with a built-in TV and stereo headset!!" Blair is a little perplexed by this and says, "But you don't look like you are handicapped...?" The kid says, "No but I will be after my dad finds out I saved your ass from drowning!"
** And finally a cool quote that if you think about applies to politicians everywhere, well except for my local MP Jessica Morden as the lazy bitch is never is the commons to earn the vast wages/expenses that we the humble taxpayers pay for her lazy do nothing arse...
“How a politician stands on the Second Amendment tells you how he or she views you as an individual: as a trustworthy and productive citizen, or as part of an unruly crowd that needs to be lorded over, controlled, supervised, and taken care of.”

Why Frenchy's make crap managers...

Ok now I recently changed jobs again - about 3 weeks ago now - and the place where I was working before I was stuck with a frog as a boss. (Now I blame the EU on that one, but I am getting off the point here...)
As someone who has clashed with them on occasions before I figured I had best give her a chance and thought that as she was outside of France would appreciate our tolerant ways in the UK, especially with regard to free expression of views.
Now the first run in came when I made a joke about how bad the fuel protests were in the UK. Especially when I pointed out how the French have protests off to a fine art. You want something, then lets blockade Paris and hijack a few meat wagons from the UK and burn the lamb on board whilst the French police stand around looking elsewhere.
One of my better comments was on the French elections a few years back where they had the choice between a crook and nazi and they chose the wrong one....She liked Le Worm the galic version of Tony Blair.
Once the frog realised that trying to browbeat me with the fact that she was the boss and did not like my comments - tough shit is my view on that - was not going to work, she then moved onto trying to pick faults in my work....she failed.
Not only did I process more than most my team, but I was in early, stayed on and worked damn hard for the poor pay in that place. Desperate the frog then tried the old snide remark routine on the few occasions that she thought I had made a mistake, so I resolved that by taking notes and pointing out - quite loudly I might add - that I appreciated her concern over my work on this occasion and it is strange how she only seems to point out my mistakes on the rare occasions they happen and that I would keep a record of her comments for future reference... that would be brought up with the proper managers... (Let them know they are being a wanker and when it hits the fan you have a full record of all events)
Finally I was offered the job I have now, in a tolerant company with no frogs in it, and on more money. So before I left I spent my last month making constant remarks about the waste in the EU on lazy French farmers claiming for non existant crops, the double standards of French politicians and so on and so forth.
Yes on the last day just before leaving I took great satisfaction in pointing out my distaste at having to work with her for the last few months, her two faced attitude, and how she was a stereotype of how her nation was portrayed.
** I suppose I have done my bit for the Entente Cordiale...
Oil & Blood

So now the report is out on the numerous companies and people who have turned a blind eye to that Mr Hussain gassing his own people and slaughtering at will anyone he thought might pose a threat.
The Independent Inquiry Committee investigating abuses in the Oil for Food program released its final report that clearly shows who was and wasn't profiting from the program.
Those who made the most noise about us going to war were strangely enough the people creaming off the most at the expense of the Iraqi people. France, Russia, and Germany were the ones most strongly against the war, and also making the most from the suffering in Iraq.
Shame on them and that low life parasite George Galloway who is a disgrace to the not only the high office of MP that he holds but to the whole human race. In fact if anyone has forgotten the fawning over Saddam that this mouse of a man excelled at, here is a reminder of Galloway in 1994 getting ready to felate the Iraqi butcher:
Source @ www.en.wikiquote.org/wiki/George_Galloway#Speech_in_Iraq_in_1994/
- "Your Excellency, Mr President: I greet you, in the name of the many thousands of people in Britain who stood against the tide and opposed the war and aggression against Iraq and continue to oppose the war by economic means, which is aimed to strangle the life out of the great people of Iraq."
- "I greet you, too, in the name of the Palestinian people, amongst whom I've just spent two weeks in the occupied Palestinian territories. I can honestly tell you that there was not a single person to whom I told I was coming to Iraq and hoping to meet with yourself who did not wish me to convey their heartfelt, fraternal greetings and support."
- "And this was true, especially at the base in the refugee camps of Jabaliyah and Beach Camp in Gaza, in the Balatah refugee camp in Nablus and on the streets of the towns and villages in the occupied lands."
- "I thought the president would appreciate knowing that even today, three years after the war, I still met families who were calling their newborn sons Saddam; and that two weeks ago, when I was trapped inside the Orient House, which is the Palestinian headquarters in al-Quds [Jerusalem], with 5,000 armed mustwatinin [settlers] outside demonstrating, pledging to tear down the Palestinian flag from the flagpole, the hundreds of shabab [youths] inside the compound were chanting that they wish to be with a DSh K [machine gun] in Baghdad to avenge the eyes of Abu Jihad [late Palestinian leader Khalil al-Wazir who was killed in Tunisia]. And the Youth Club in Silwan, which is the one of the most resistant of all the villages around Jerusalem, asked me to ask the president's permission if they could enrol him as an honourary member of their club and to present him with this flag from holy Jerusalem."
- "I wish to say, sir, that I believe that we are turning the tide in Europe, that the scale of the humanitarian disaster which has been imposed upon the Iraqi people is now becoming more and more widely known and accepted."
- "Fifty-five British members of parliament opposed the war, but 125 are demanding the lifting of the embargo."
- "And this does not include the invisible section of the Conservative Party who must also be moving in that direction. And Sir Edward Heath is being a very persuasive advocate inside the Conservative Party."
- "It is my belief that we must convey the very clear picture that 1994 has to be the year of the ending of the embargo against Iraq. Otherwise, famine and all the awful consequences, including acts of despair by Iraqis, will be the result. And this is the message we must convey to civilized opinion in Europe."
- "Sir: I salute your courage, your strength, your indefatigability. And I want you to know that we are with you, hatta al-nasr, hatta al-nasr, hatta al-Quds [until victory, until victory, until Jerusalem]."
A poem for the religion of peace & something the BBC will never report.

Found this at the dicklist blog, link above. Made me laugh and so enjoy one and all. Added that blog to the sidebar and also a blog thats keeping an eye on the fifth column terrorists of the Msulim council of Great Britain.
T'was the night before Eid in the year six-eleven/
Muhammed the 'prophet' was dreaming of heaven;
Though he had money and women galore/
this rich merchant's heart was yearning for more;
So off to the desert he slowly went/
and sat in a cave 'till his senses were spent;
And late in the evening- maybe half past of eight/
Muhammed freaked out and began to hallucinate;
For down came Allah from heaven on high/
to have a conversation with the lone Arab guy;
"Why do you sit here in this cave in the dark?"/
Demanded Allah, as shrill as a lark;
"Well damn it Allah, maybe you understand/
I can not follow the rules made by man;
I'd rather invent a faith of my own/
so give me some tips or just leave me alone";
"Well then" said Allah brimming with glee/
"I'm glad that you asked for some input from me;
for I am Allah, the most high and most strong/
and since I am god I can never be wrong;
now listen to me, you dumb little prick/
and follow my rules cause that is the trick;
rule number one is most simple and true/
in order to please me thou must kill the jew";
"But why, Allah, do you want me to kill them/
if each human being is one of your children?"
"Never you mind why I do what I do/
If you can be flighty than why can't god too?
my covenant with them is old and it bores me/
and cutting off foreskins truly abhores me;
now listen to me and listen damn well/
for it's the job of each Muslim to kill infidels;
smite them and boil them and cut off their heads/
dismember thier parents; rape their wives in their beds;
slaughter their livestock and murder thier children/
blow yourself up and fly planes to their buildings;
do all of these things and you'll go straight to heaven/
are you writing this down? It's ten past eleven...";
"Surely, Allah, I'm getting this down/
but why did you tell me when no one's around?;
for some think I'm crazy; they'll never believe me/
and killing those people will never be easy;
why don't you come down at the noon of the day/
and guide the poor infidel to the right way?";
"Forget it" said Allah "this is more entertaining/
I work hard on my plans and I'm through explaining";
"But what about Jesus, he said not to fight/
are you tryin' to tell me he just wasn't right?
why do you give us contradictory laws?"/
"STOP IT RIGHT NOW, KID- you're pissing me off!;
I came down to your cave and did you a solid/
I gave you my rules and I filled you with knowledge;
Such as when martyrs die, its virgins all night/
'cause in paradise, we likes bitches tight;
Now I let you invent a faith all your own/
so go conquer Mecca and burn down their homes;
jack up those fuckers and steal all thier shit/
hijack thier camel and make love to their bitch;
and if anyone asks, you say 'Allah sent me'/
'now shut your mouth, bitch, and pull down your panties'";
"Well that's so damn awesome- I can do what I wanna/
I can act like a maniac 'cause its sanctioned by Allah!"
"Now aren't you glad you came here to wig out?"/
exclaimed Allah without any doubt;
"now when you wake up, this might feel like a dream/
and next time you eat mushrooms, make sure that they're clean;
and Allah will return to tell you what's right."
Merry Ramadan to all, and to all a good night!
** Finally a bit from Iraq, some good news and so you can bet the anti US, anti-west, pro Islamonazi BBC, will never show this in a million years.
Soldier feels pride helping sick, wounded

Story and photo by
Sgt. Mitch Armbruster
207th Mobile Public Affairs
LSA ANACONDA, BALAD — Staff Sgt. Robert Fuentes, assistant shop supervisor with the 4th-159th Aviation Maintenance Company (AVM), found the sense of pride he needed to feel by volunteering to sit with injured Soldiers, and other hospital occupants, on Sundays at the hospital here.
Fuentes was shopping at the post exchange on the west side of post one day when he decided to visit the sick and wounded on post.
“I just needed to do it,” said Fuentes. “I felt compelled to visit [the patients].”
“Staff Sgt. Fuentes is great and would do anything to help out,” said Sgt. Amy Louise Brown, a fellow Soldier from the 4th/159th AVM Headquarters and Headquarters Detachment.
Fuentes and Soldiers of the 4th/159th AVM are redeploying to the states, however Fuentes took the time to visit Soldiers and Iraqi civilians undergoing treatment at the hospital.
Fuentes isn’t a stranger to helping others. He has spent the last 10 years working as a civilian in the volunteer office at Michigan State University.
His job is to help them find volunteer opportunities with the Peace Corps, AmeriCorps and other volunteer organizations.
“I wanted to help inspire people to make a difference,” Fuentes said.
Fuentes recalled a moment that will remind him of his deployment to Iraq. He walked by a room where a man was feeding a young girl.
“I asked the gentleman if I could take over bottle-feeding the 7-month-old.
She was an improvised explosive device casualty,” Fuentes said.
He added that being able to help made him feel great. The opportunity was an enormous one.
Not only has he connected to Soldiers and civilians, Fuentes had the opportunity to sit with members of the Iraqi Security Forces.
“They are hungry to talk to someone. I used that moment to build camaraderie with our partners,” Fuentes said.
“The Soldiers going outside the wire are my heroes because they go out every day. I’ve got it all, so I need to give back,” Fuentes said.
Amazing what a missile can do to clean up filth.
Palestinians gather around the wreckage of a car after it was hit by an Israeli missile strike in the Jebaliya refugee cam, adjacent to Gaza City, in the northern Gaza Strip, Thursday Oct. 27, 2005. Israeli aircraft fired two missiles at the car carrying Islamic Jihad activists. Hospital officials said at least seven people were killed and 15 wounded, four of them critically. Among those killed were at least two Islamic Jihad members, including Shadi Mohanna, the group's field commander for northern Gaza. (AP Photo/Adel Hana) ** Guess he lost his no claims bonus.
Seven people, including senior Islamic Jihad terrorist Shadi Mohanna, were killed Thursday when an IAF aircraft fired a missile at a vehicle in the Jabalya refugee camp in north Gaza.
Mohamed Kandil, another leading member of the Islamic Jihad in the Strip was also killed in the strike.
The Palestinians claim that five of the victims were civilians. ...
IDF sources claimed that the high number of casualties in the blast was a result of explosives Mohanna carried in his car, which detonated following the missile strike. ...Israel "opened the gates of hell" by killing a senior Islamic Jihad terrorist in Gaza, al-Aqsa Martyrs' Brigades commander Abu Udai said in response to the attack.
** Well done Israel.
And Israel replied...
Army chief of staff General Dan Halutz was quoted as declaring a "war to the bitter end" against Islamic Jihad after convening a meeting of defense chiefs late Wednesday.
Security sources said Defense Minister Shaul Mofaz gave the green light for the resumption of 'targeted killing' operations against the masterminds of attacks such as the one in Hadera, carried out by a 21-year-old from the northern West Bank village of Qabatiya, near Jenin.
The army also announced a general closure on the West Bank and Gaza Strip.
Jihad said the attack was to avenge the death of their West Bank military leader who was killed in a gunfight with Israeli troops at the weekend.
"We will hit Islamic Jihad very hard. We will not give them any respite," a source close to Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon said.
"We will not allow the West Bank to become a new Iraq and we will use every means possible in our offensive, including targeted operations."
Irans Looney - Will the liberals wake up to the threat and grow a pair?
“There is no doubt that the new wave (of attacks) in Palestine will wipe off this stigma (Israel) from the face of the Islamic world,” Ahmadinejad told students Wednesday during a Tehran conference called “The World without Zionism.”
“Anybody who recognizes Israel will burn in the fire of the Islamic nation’s fury, any (Islamic leader) who recognizes the Zionist regime means he is acknowledging the surrender and defeat of the Islamic world,” Ahmadinejad said.
Ahmadinejad also repeated the words of the founder of Iran’s Islamic revolution, Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini, who called for the destruction of Israel. “As the Imam said, Israel must be wiped off the map,” said Ahmadinejad, who came to power in August.
Ahmadinejad referred to Israel’s recent withdrawal from the Gaza Strip as a “trick,” saying Gaza is part of the Palestinian territories and the withdrawal was meant to make Islamic states acknowledge Israel.
** It seems a bit strange that some of the other middle east nations are silent on his comment...
CAIRO, Egypt - Arab governments remained silent Thursday as international condemnation grew over a call by Iran's new president for Israel to be destroyed.
Despite the silence, analysts in the region said Tehran's Arab rivals may quietly be pleased to see the radical regime further isolated by its extremism.
However, some Palestinians — who would have the task of destroying Israel according to President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad — rejected the remarks.
"We have recognized the state of Israel and we are pursuing a peace process with Israel, and ... we do not accept the statements of the president of Iran," Palestinian negotiator Saeb Erekat said. "This is unacceptable."
European governments condemned Ahmadinejad's comments, with British Prime Minister Tony Blair saying they increased concerns the clerical regime is a threat to global security and may even trigger pleas for pre-emptive action against Iran.
"I have never come across a situation (with) the president of a country saying they want to wipe out" another nation, Blair told reporters Thursday.
French President Jacques Chirac called the remarks "completely irresponsible" and U.N. Secretary-General Kofi Annan expressed "dismay" at them, in a rare rebuke of a U.N. member state.
In contrast, newspapers across the Middle East reported Wednesday's speech by Ahmadinejad without comment, many of them on their front pages.
Egyptian Foreign Ministry and Cabinet officials said Cairo would have nothing to say on the address.
Jordanian Deputy Prime Minister Marwan Muasher also declined comment, apparently to avoid further aggravating relations with Iran, which the kingdom has accused of interfering in Iraq to strengthen the Shiite influence in the Middle East.
** Demos in Iran...
TEHRAN, Iran (AP) — Iranians will hold massive demonstrations Friday to back their president in the face of international criticism of his remarks that Israel should be destroyed, Iran's foreign minister said.
Manouchehr Mottaki said Thursday the demonstrations will take place in Tehran and other parts of the country to mark al-Quds Day — the annual event when Iranians protest Israel's control over Jerusalem.
"The world will see the anger of the Islamic world against this regime," state-run television quoted him as telling ambassadors from Islamic countries. He added that the "Zionist regime is illegitimate."
On Wednesday, President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad told students that Israel should be destroyed. In a speech, Ahmadinejad also said a new wave of Palestinian attacks against Israel "will wipe this stigma from the face of the Islamic world."
He then cited the founder of the Islamic revolution, Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini, and said: "Israel must be wiped off the map."...
In 1979, Khomeini declared the last Friday of the Muslim holy month of Ramadan as an international day of struggle against Israel and for the liberation of Jerusalem.
** even Blair has had to do something, who knows maybe he will wake up to the fact we have lots of fifth column islamonazi terrorists living in the UK, thanks to the piss poor immigration checks that our nation has. Still its a start, maybe now people will realise that we need to get tough on terror and tough on the causes of terror( yes I know a Blairism but could not resist it). Hell I have been saying for ages that the only thing these people respect is a position of strength. Let them know if they fuck about with us we will fry their barbarian arses back to the stone age.
In the words of Caligula: "let them hate us, so long as they fear us."
HAMPTON COURT, England (AFP) - Iran will be seen by the rest of the world as a "real threat" if it persists with its hard line on Israel and its suspected pursuit of nuclear weapons, British Prime Minister Tony Blair said. ...
In an apparent reference to the United States, Blair -- whose nation holds the rotating EU presidency -- said "we will have discussions with our main allies over the next few days" on how to respond to Ahmadinejad's remarks.
French President Jacques Chirac was equally upset, calling his Iranian counterpart's words "senseless and irresponsible" and warning that they ""run the risk for his country of being left on the outside by other nations".
In a statement earlier in the day, the leaders of the 25 EU member states who had gathered at Hampton Court to debate Europe's response to globalisation "condemned in the strongest terms" the Iranian leader's words.
"Calls for violence, and for the destruction of any state, are manifestly inconsistent with any claim to be a mature and responsible member of the international community," they said.
In London, Paris, Bonn and a number of other European capitals, Iranian ambassadors and charges d'affaires were summoned to foreign ministries to hear stern official protests.
Ahmadinejad's Final Solution

Tolerance & Understanding - So long as its the muslim way.

Check out how the US school system is sucking up to islamofascists www.hyscience.com/archives/2005/10/cowered_by_musl.php/ a rather good piece, and I suppose I am glad that its not just the UK that seems to be groveling at the feet of these hand/head chopping savages.
This has also been covered in the lost budgie blog - link on sidebar - and here - www.jihadwatch.org/dhimmiwatch/archives/008714.php/
Faced with a school board that decided against giving all students in Hillsborough County, Florida holidays for Yom Kippur, Good Friday or Eid ul-Fitr, Ahmed Bedier, spokesman for the Council on American-Islamic Relations, unsurprisingly concluded that this was of course "just an excuse to hide bias against the Muslims." (This is from "Schools Scrap Religious Holidays,"
The schools quote on this..."A school board cannot recognize a religious holiday for the sole purpose of recognizing a religious holiday," Gonzalez said at a meeting packed with dozens of members of the Muslim community, some pleading to have no school on holidays for all religions. So many people celebrate Christmas that businesses can't operate on that day, Gonzalez said. If large numbers of students and teachers are absent on other religious holidays, the district may opt to again make those days off, he said. ** Strike another victory for the islamofascists and another dent in democracy. Lastly going to have to give these guys a mention as they are keeping an eye on the terrorist mouthpiece the muslim council of Great Britain, these are the people who want Israel wiped off the map and us to be an islamic state. Although they dont say that openly but try to push us in that direction http://mcbwatch.blogspot.com/
Jihad madness & more good news from Iraq.

Firstly a bit on our friends and allies from the liberal and tolerant nation of Iran, how they are allowing terrorists to roam free.
IRAN is permitting around 25 high-ranking al-Qaeda members to roam free in the country's capital, including three sons of Osama bin Laden, a German monthly magazine reports. They are living in houses belonging to Iran's Revolutionary Guards, the report said. "This is not incarceration or house arrest," a Western intelligence agent was quoted as saying. "They can move around as they please."
Citing information from unnamed Western intelligence sources, the magazine Cicero said in a preview of an article appearing in its November edition that the individuals in question are from Egypt, Uzbekistan, Saudi Arabia and Europe.
The three sons of Osama bin Laden in Iran are Saeed, Mohammad and Othman, Cicero reported.
Another person enjoying the support of the Revolutionary Guards is al-Qaeda spokesman Abu Ghaib, the report said.
Iran first said late last year that it had arrested and would try a number of foreigners suspected of having links to al-Qaeda, a loose network of military groups that Washington blames for the attacks of September 11, 2001 and bomb attacks in Spain, Indonesia, Egypt and elsewhere.
The report in Cicero also accused the Revolutionary Guards' secret service of offering logistical support and military training to senior al-Qaeda leaders.
Iran has repeatedly denied any link to or support of al-Qaeda.
Britain and the United States suspect Iran of supporting insurgents in Iraq, a charge Tehran has vehemently denied. ** Nice to see that we all support the war on terror.
It seems that the US is using the relief effort in Pakistan to encircle China and distroy Islam according to this chap....BASSIAN, Pakistan, Oct. 24 - Asmat Ali Janbaz's explanation for the American military helicopters flying over this isolated mountain valley last Thursday afternoon was familiar.
Mr. Janbaz, who lives in the area and who describes himself as an Islamic hard-liner, contended that the Americans were not ferrying injured earthquake victims to safety; instead, they were secretly establishing an American military base in northern Pakistan to encircle China.
"This is the mission!" he declared triumphantly. "Not to help the people of Pakistan."
Yet after Mr. Janbaz departed, something extraordinary happened. Here in a mountainous corner of northern Pakistan long thought to be a center for militant training camps and religious conservatism, three men dismissed his theory and heartily praised the United States for aiding victims of the Oct. 8 earthquake, which killed more than 53,000 Pakistanis.
"People don't believe such things; people only believe in what they are seeing," said Manzur Hussain, a 36-year-old hospital worker whose brother, sister and two sons died in the earthquake. "People who give them aid, they respect them."
While it is too early to reach firm conclusions, anecdotal interviews with earthquake survivors in this picturesque mountain district, known as Mansehra, suggest that American assistance may be improving Pakistanis' perceptions of the United States - an image that has been overwhelmingly negative here since the invasions of Afghanistan and Iraq....
Muhammad Farid, a homeopathic doctor in the devastated town of Balakot, said he still deeply disagreed with the American invasion of Iraq and other policies. But the dispatch to Pakistan of 14 American military helicopters and more than 20 foreign search and rescue teams surprised him.
"It has changed our opinion about the United States," he said, adding that hard-line clerics' descriptions of debauched foreigners have proved untrue. "They have been accusing all these people of spreading immorality, but these are the people who came to save our lives."
Pakistani officials and political analysts cautioned that any relief-related change in perceptions would be limited. The international aid may sway the perceptions of moderate Pakistanis, particularly well-educated city dwellers, they said, but it is unlikely to sway the country's small core of militants who support Al Qaeda.
"Even if paradise is delivered to them, they'll keep abusing us, the Americans and the Jews," said a close aide to President Pervez Musharraf, a military ruler and religious moderate who has survived at least three assassination attempts from suspected Islamic militants. "This is going to take a long time."
Islamists are also doing their best to aid earthquake victims and curry support, and in an unknown number of cases, succeeding....
Al Qaeda, whose senior leaders are thought to be hiding several hundred miles to the southwest along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border, also joined in. In a videotaped message released on Sunday, the group's No. 2 leader, Ayman al-Zawahiri, urged Muslims to help earthquake victims.
"I call on all Muslims in general, and I call on all Islamic humanitarian associations in particular, to move to Pakistan to provide help to their Pakistani brothers, and that they do it quickly," Agence France-Presse reported him as saying. "All of us know the vicious American war on Muslim humanitarian work."
Mr. Janbaz, the self-described hard-liner, echoed those sentiments in an interview in Bassian, a village just outside Balakot. He painted the American relief effort in sinister terms and identified himself as a member of the Movement to Enforce the Law of Shariah, a banned militant group that dispatched volunteers to fight American forces in Afghanistan in 2001.
But he appeared to have few takers around Balakot, a riverside town of 150,000 people that appears to have suffered most of the 13,285 deaths in the Mansehra district.... ** Well there you go, seems thats the plan.
** And the Iraqi army gets back control...
Iraqi army’s 5th Division assumes greater role in Diyala Province
TIKRIT, Iraq – More than 3,000 Soldiers from Task Force Liberty and the 278th Regimental Combat Team will conclude their mission in eastern Diyala Province with a departure ceremony on Forward Operating Base Caldwell on Oct. 29th at 11:30 a.m.
The 1st Brigade of the Iraqi army’s 5th Division in Diyala, because of their proven operational capabilities, will take on a greater security role in the military operations in the sector during the ceremony. The Iraqi 1st Brigade continues to train and equip its forces while providing command and control for battalion-sized operations in eastern Diyala Province.
The regiment, from the Tennessee Army National Guard, achieved significant success during its operations in eastern Diyala Province. Troopers of the regimental combat team conducted more than 13,000 combat patrols during their eleven months of service. The 278th RCT would achieve an IED discovery rate of near 60%, preventing the needless loss of life among Task Force Liberty Soldiers and Iraqi civilians.
The 278th seized and destroyed more than 340 weapons caches of bomb making materials and another 275 stockpiles of unexploded ordnance.
The partnership of the regiment with Iraqi Security Forces resulted in the training of more than 10,000 Iraqi soldiers, police officers and border enforcement personnel.
The impact of the regiment on the lives of countless Iraqi civilians exceeded $103 million on projects that included the construction or renovations of more than 50 schools, nearly 74 water and sewage projects, eight health clinics, 32 road projects, 25 electricity and power projects, 25 business and 23 government renovations.
** And some more good news.
Safe house and weapons cache destroyed in city of Hit
BAGHDAD, Iraq -- Coalition forces raided multiple safe houses and during the raids killed several terrorists and detained another in a car chase in the town of Hit Oct. 26.
Acting on multiple intelligence sources, Coalition forces raided two terrorist safe houses to capture or kill terrorists operating near Hit, in western Iraq. The safe houses were suspected of being terrorist operational bases used to conduct attacks against local Iraqi citizens, Iraqi Security and Coalition forces.
Upon arriving, Coalition forces secured the safe house and detained one terrorist. Information from that location led Coalition forces to another safe house suspected of facilitating terrorist activities.
Prior to arriving at the second safe house, Coalition forces observed two vehicles departing with several males and attempted to stop the vehicles, but the terrorists refused to stop.
Coalition forces fired on the lead vehicle in an attempt to disable it, but it exploded with multiple secondary explosions observed by Coalition soldiers, indicating explosives and ammunition of some type were being transported. The trail vehicle stopped and terrorists attempted to flee the area, but Coalition forces engaged and killed them.
A search of the second vehicle revealed multiple small arms, ammunition, mortar rounds, numerous rocket propelled grenades and RPG launchers. The vehicle and weapons were destroyed by Coalition forces prior to leaving the area.
Coalition forces then returned to the second terrorist safe house. They secured and searched the building discovering a large weapons cache, ammunition, rocket propelled grenades, mortar rounds and explosives.
Coalition forces used close air support assets to destroy the terrorist safe house and weapons cache. Large secondary explosions were seen by Coalition forces as they departed the area.
PARIS - A new proposed anti-terror law in the US, presented on Wednesday, aims to clamp down on terrorist activity carried out via the Internet as the Al Qaeda network develops increasingly dangerous online activities.
The proposed law would introduce measures such as extending the period for which cybercafes have to keep records of Internet connection data, but faces a tough battle against “cyber-jihadists” who avoid being tracked through cunning and the fluid nature of the Internet, according to experts.
Terrorists use the Internet for “communication, recruitment, planning” and, importantly, for military instruction, said Rita Katz, head of the Washington-based institute Search for International Terrorist Entities (SITE), which monitors Islamist websites.
“Everything is there, it replaces the training camps,” she said.
One method attributed to the suspected head of the September 11, 2001 attacks, Khaled Sheikh Mohammed, is the “dead letter box” system: someone creates an email account, gives the password to several members of a group and communicates by saving messages in a draft messages folder without sending them.
Communication by this method cannot be monitored because government systems for tracking emails work only if someone sends an email, said Rohan Gunaratna, head of terrorism research at the Institute of Defence and Strategic Studies in Singapore.
“It was used by Khaled Sheikh Mohammed, who was the mastermind of 9/11, to communicate with the global network,” Gunaratna said.
The people behind some sites promoting terrorism “are more savvy than a lot of us normal typical internet users,”, said Rebecca Givner-Forbes, an intelligence analyst who monitors the Internet for the Terrorism Research Centre, a company employed by the US government.
“They often use Japanese and Chinese upload web pages because they don’t ask for an email address or any information from the person uploading a file,” she said. “They’ve become very savvy about how they evade detection on the Web.”
Fun and games in the philippines.One scumbag removedMANILA, Philippines - Philippine troops captured seven suspected Muslim militants Wednesday, including the leader of a group of Islamic converts linked to the kidnappings of foreigners and an alleged plot to bomb the U.S. Embassy, officials said.
Hilarion del Rosario Santos III, the alleged leader of the Rajah Solaiman Revolutionary Movement, was arrested with his wife and five other people while they were sleeping in a hideout in southern Zamboanga city. Officials said the arrests thwarted new bombing plots by the group. ...
Santos' group allegedly hid about 1,322 pounds of explosives, including TNT, that the military seized in a hideout in Manila's Fairview residential district in March. Soldiers arrested a brother of Santos in connection with the seizure, military officials said.
National Security Adviser Norberto Gonzales said the explosives appeared to be intended for a 2,204-pound truck bomb that militants planned to use against the U.S. Embassy. That plot, along with other planned bombings by the group in the capital, was foiled with the seizure of the explosives, he said.
And notch up another scumbag removed.WASHINGTON, Oct. 26, 2005 – A coalition air strike that hit a terrorist safe house today in Ushsh, Iraq, likely killed a senior al Qaeda member who assisted foreign fighters in Iraq, U.S. officials in Baghdad announced.
Intelligence sources indicate that Abu Dua, who helped Syrians and Saudis enter Iraq to intimidate and kill Iraqi citizens, was in the house at the time of the strike. Dua was linked to other al Qaeda terrorists and facilitators in the Qaim, Karabilah and Husaybah areas. He also was a known close associate of Ghassan Amin, an al Qaeda member known as the "emir of Rawah." Amin was captured in May.
According to intelligence sources, Dua was connected to the intimidation, torture and murder of local civilians in the Qaim area. Dua held religious courts to try local citizens charged with supporting the Iraqi government and coalition forces. He would kidnap individuals or entire families, accuse them, pronounce sentence and then publicly execute them, U.S. officials said.
BAGHDAD, Iraq -- An al-Qaeda terrorist cell leader who personally assisted in at least three videotaped beheadings and his assistant were killed during a Coalition raid of a suspected safe house in Mosul Oct. 22.
Nashwan Mijhim Muslet (aka Abu Tayir or Abu Zaid) was a senior operational al-Qaeda in Iraq terrorist cell leader who operated specifically in the Mosul area.
