Coalition captures three suspected terrorists

BAGHDAD, Iraq -- Three suspected terrorists were captured and three others killed during a Coalition Forces operation in Al Amiriyah, Al Anbar Province, today.

Intelligence reports identified the location of a potential safe haven for a wanted terrorist involved in foreign fighter facilitation into Iraq. Upon approaching the house, Coalition Forces heard shouting from inside the house which confirmed the presence of the suspected terrorists. After repeated requests for the surrender of the enemy, Coalition Forces engaged the enemy with a precision weapon from a Coalition aircraft.

Two people – a male and a female -- were killed in the initial airstrike. Another male terrorist was shot and killed. Other occupants survived the strike and escaped into adjacent houses.

Coalition Forces successfully convinced the occupants of the two adjacent houses to exit, resulting in the detention of three suspected terrorists.

IA Sgt. Maj. killed while stopping thieves; caches found

NARWAN, Iraq – Four terrorists and an Iraqi Army command sergeant major were killed in fighting as an Iraqi Army patrol stopped an anti-Iraqi forces attempt to steal a dump truck south of Baqubah March 31.

The Iraqi Army patrol and members of 3rd Heavy Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division, Task Force Band of Brothers engaged the thieving insurgents in a firefight as they were stopped in their attempted theft and started to flee. The anti-Iraqi force returned fire killing the sergeant major and wounding four other Iraqi Army Soldiers.

Four insurgents were killed, one wounded and eight detained. All of the wounded were transported to Baqubah General Hospital.

The detained men are being held by Coalition Forces for questioning.

After the firefight, the units inspected a white sedan the anti-Iraqi forces were using in their escape attempt. It was found to have a mortar tube with base plate, some mortar rounds and a sniper rifle with ammunition.

While conducting a search of the area near the firefight, Coalition Forces discovered three caches. These caches consisted of one anti-aircraft gun with ammunition, four shoulder-fired anti-aircraft missiles, 24 mortar rounds, two mortar tubes, one grenade launcher, 2000 rounds of ammunition and two PKC rifles.

Operation Cowpens continues on Jabouri Peninsula

JABOURI PENINSULA, Iraq -- Ten days of operations on the Jabouri Peninsula have have yielded numerous mortar and artillery rounds, weapons and ammunition, improvised explosive device materials and people deemed supportive to the Anti Iraqi Forces in this area surrounded on three sides by the ancient Tigris River.

Operation Cowpens – the title given to this multi-national mission – was planned and conducted to degrade the AIF in building and employing improvised explosive devices, in directly engaging Coalition Forces and to deny resources to the AIF.

Elements of the Fort Carson, Colo., based 1-8 Combined Arms Battalion, 3rd Heavy Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division, Task Force Band of Brothers, along with 3rd Battalion, 1st Brigade, 4th Iraqi Army Division and the 1st Battalion, 3rd Brigade, 4th IAD, participated in the mission.

“The Iraqi Army is the major search element and they’re doing an outstanding job,” said Capt. Timothy Knoth, commander of Rock Company, 1-8 CAB. “They have an inordinate amount of technical expertise. They (also) provide the initial confirmation or denial of enemy effects.”

Operations began March 19 with an early morning ground and air assault on the peninsula by members of the Iraqi Army and 1-8 CAB. In this initial movement, Coalition and Anti Iraqi Forces exchanged small arms fire, inflicting seven enemy killed in action and detaining numerous AIF, while sustaining two U.S. wounded in action. A large cache of weapons, ammunition and mortar rounds was discovered within hours of the initial movement.

Despite continuous efforts to improve the quality of life for citizens of this region, it continues to be a haven and supporter of AIF activities. However, after this latest operation, some of the residents are becoming supportive of Coalition Forces presence in the region.

During the 10-day mission, Coalition and Iraqi Army forces confiscated more than 300 mortars, projectiles and rockets; rocket-propelled grenade launchers, AK- 47 rifles and magazines, more than 100 pounds of explosives, blasting caps, hand grenades, cell phones, 115 sticks of dynamite, radios and numerous IED-making materials.

Bastogne Soldiers train Iraqi platoon

HAWIJAH, Iraq – More than 60 Iraqi Soldiers, from three separate units, graduated platoon-level training in Hawijah this week, increasing the effectiveness of the Iraqi Army in the War on Terror, and taking another step toward autonomy in protecting citizens of the region.

Bastogne Soldiers from the 1st Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division, currently stationed in northern Iraq, use a series of week-long classes to teach Iraqi Soldiers to use a variety of weapon systems as well as room-clearing techniques used during cordon and search missions. The Platoon Training Course gives the Iraqi Soldiers confidence in their ability to work as a cohesive unit, as well as experience at performing the tasks they will perform in the defense of the country.

“The Soldiers show up a little apprehensive, and maybe even a little intimidated,” stated Maj. Greg Bishop, spokesman for the 1st Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division, stationed in Kirkuk, Iraq. “But, with the Bastogne Soldiers encouraging them, their motivation and performance improve once they start catching on.”

Thirteen platoons from the 5th Iraqi Army Battalion completed Phase 1 of the Platoon Training Course, and six platoons from the 1st Iraqi Army Battalion completed Phase 2.

BRITISH RAIL = COWARDS
Yes just when you think that the levels of moral cowardice in the UK could not get any worse we get this, in a fine display of dhimmitude to the ROP British Rail decided to cower before radical islam and remove potentially offensive posters. After all whats the worst that could happen? They may offend a muslim and he may decide to splode himself on a tube train, like thats going to happen(sic)...

Posted by Picasa
And here it is the poster that scared the shit out of the dhimmis that run London underground.

Not that some of the members of the ROP blowing themselves to the afterlife and Allahs mythical 72 virgin goats on British Rail tube trains is offensive in any way. No we are supposed to accept that as after all they are the so called oppressed people according to El Beeb. Day by day we in the UK are getting the dhimmi attitude conditioned into us, and anyone who speaks out is shocked like some dog in Pavlovs lab until they end up like some gutless dhimmi cuntfuck called Jack "man of" Straw or Prince Charles.

Fucking imoral cowards who should apologise to the victims of 7/7 and then remove their brains with a service revolver forthwith.

A poster for a new TV thriller about a Muslim spy has been banned from the Underground.

The advert for hit American series Sleeper Cell shows a man on a mobile phone with the tagline "America's latest hero is a Muslim straight out of jail".

But bosses at London Underground decided the words were offensive and have refused to have it on platform walls unless the word " Muslim" is removed.

A spokesman for London Underground said: "The text on this poster is clearly intended to be sensationalist and could give offence.

"Following consultation with Viacom, which manages advertising on the Tube, it was decided to ask for the words 'is a Muslim' to be removed. This decision was taken in line with our standard policies which seek to avoid gratuitously insulting large groups of Londoners." - would that the ROP respected our rights or just our right to live.

El Beebs website plays the anti US card again:
Their headline:
Rice met by more protests on tour

Nice to see our licence tax (we in the UK have to pay over £100 per year on a television licence that El Beeb then uses any way it wants.) being spent on impartal reporting(sic)

ID CARDS - LIST OF MP'S WHO VOTED YES including Paul Flynn MP

A quick update on the ID cards, seems that old big ears Charles "fatboy" Clarke has managed to huff and puff and blow the House down into agreeing on ID cards, and he managed it without a massive heart attack (mores the pity).

So below is the list of the MPs who voted yes, and we would do well to remember that when we have to pay for the ID card (Ministers have already said the combined cost of a passport and ID card will be £93.)that will resolve none of the countries problems. Let us hope that the voters remember this in the elections coming up this year and next and vote these immoral cowards out on their collective arses.

Check the list below and see if your MP is there, if so complain and if not then at least you know that they have some backbone and common sense.

and my local MP's apology over his libel case, just added as an extra:
Recently Paul Flynn was involved in a libel case where he made comments about an endowment pensions company, the result of which he had to pay out damages. He was sued after he posted an attack on such companies on his website, claiming they were out to "re-rob" the victims of endowment mis-selling by dishonestly over-charging them for their services.
But he made the mistake of referring to well-regarded company Endowment Justice Ltd, which represents mis-selling victims on a "no-win, no-fee" basis. The company and its directors sued and at London's High Court Mr Flynn made a public apology for the "unjustified attack" on the claimants' integrity.
The MP as part of the settlement put the following statement on his website: On this website in February this year, I made certain statements referring to Endowment Justice Limited, one of the companies which offers assistance in obtaining compensation for those people who were mis-sold endowment policies. I have been campaigning against companies providing professional services in relation to endowment policy compensation claims, but my facts about Endowment Justice were incorrect. As a result, I wrongly accused the company and its directors Nick Keca, Marianne Fitzjohn and Graeme Webber of having previously mis-sold endowment policies and now dishonestly overcharging those self-same victims to help them obtain compensation. I am happy to clarify that neither Endowment Justice Ltd or any of its directors were ever involved in any aspect of endowment policy selling. It was therefore false and unfair to suggest that they had profited from the historic mis-selling of endowment policies. I was also incorrect in stating that Endowment Justice, which offers its services in recovering compensation on a “no-win, no-fee” basis, could charge its customers up to 40% of any compensation gained. Endowment Justice in fact charge customers 17.5% plus VAT or 22.5% plus VAT of any compensation gained. I was wrong to give the unintended impression that the company or its directors acts in any way improperly or unlawfully in providing services to those seeking compensation for endowment policy mis-selling. I would like to apologise to Endowment Justice for my allegations, and to Mr. Keca, Ms. Fitzjohn and Mr. Webber for any embarrassment or distress caused by my false remarks.

BAGHDAD, Iraq -- Coalition and Iraqi security forces are getting help rooting out terrorists and their weapons as Iraqi citizens grow increasingly intolerant of terrorists, even turning their own relatives over to authorities. (Jihad denied!)

One terrorist’s relative turned him over to Multi-National Division – Baghdad Soldiers Monday, accusing him of drive-by attacks against Iraqi Army troops in Baghdad.

Getting away from the good news that El Beeb refuse to ever report, seems that Jack "man of" Straw our dhimmi Foreign Sec. has been fawning over muslims at the Muslim News Awards for Excellence.

JACK "man of" Straw gets a Jens Dhimmi Award.

Seems that the muslims recognise the need for dhimmi status and love to make a fuss of their pet dhimmis and so a token pat on the head for Jack "man of" Straw and an invite to speak at the Muslim News Awards for Excellence.

As a second rater even by New Labour standards and that is setting the mark low here, he could not resist the chance to suck off, sorry suck up to the valued muslims and get some well needed exposure on El Beeb. After all we are talking about the man who has been bent over backwards by the muslim community and been fuc..., er sorry has bent over backwards I meant to say to support the rights of muslims. No then again maybe I had that right the first time...

So for fawning and crawling on your belly before the muslims - anyone remember his appearing on TV and whilst talking about Mohammed used the phrase "peace be upon him." peace be upon Jack "man of" Straw
Therefore I award Jack "man of "Straw a Jens Dhimmi award for moral cowardice and total fucking stupidity in the face of radical islam. Just a matter of time before he comes up with insh'allah

Allah Fish - From Clarity & Resolve

In reply to the Islamic goldfish....we now have the Kafir goldfish!

kafir_fish1.jpg
kafir_fish2.jpg

(Brilliant) - here is the original story:
From 24dash and icLiverpool:

A pair of fish which appear to bear the words Allah and Mohammed were hailed as a "message from God" today.

The Oscar fish were spotted in a pet shop in Speke, Liverpool, by 23-year-old Ali Al-Waqedi.
-----
Long queues have been building up outside the terraced house in Mulgrave Street, Toxteth, where the fish are being kept.

And as if that were not enough the fish have their own site: http://www.allahfish.com/

Dhimmi award given in advance: Now there is stupid and there is really stupid, then there is this. A woman has decided that she is going to Iraq to hug a terrorist. Yes Kathy Breen who like fellow dhimmi Norman Kember, is a member of the Christian Peacemaker team.

Now I hope that this doesnt happen but I can see it now, once this woman gets her visa to enter Iraq and someone sees her as a way at hitting the West or making a few dollars in ransom money: "Woman kidnapped in Iraq" will be the headline and the mad howling from the lefty brigade will bang on how we must get her out at all costs.

So I therefore give her a Jens Byskov dhimmi award in advance for dhimmitude and stupidity beyond measure.

** Update at Clarity & Resolve on this dhimmi: http://clarityandresolve.com/archives/2006/03/revolving_door_1.php

Here this dhimmi woman whittering away on More 4 here (link below and you can even see her in a video clip, although I think she will soon be plastered all over the papers when Ali Baba and the forty thieves grab her dumb ass for ransom) and dispair at the stupidity of some of the human species who seem to go out of their way to find trouble for themselves: http://www.channel4.com/more4/news/news-opinion-feature.jsp?id=193

Jack Idema Blogburst

The Free Jack Idema Blogburst

One of the problems faced by those of us who campaign for the release of illegally-imprisoned American Special Forces soldier Jack Idema and his men (Brent Bennett and journalist Ed Caraballo) is the general belief that Afghanistan is now a functioning, modern democracy. Indeed, most casual observers could be forgiven for believing that the war against the Taliban in 2001 swept clerical fascists from power completely, and that anyone falling foul of the law in Afghanistan today would be treated fairly.

This week, however, the mask of moderation finally slipped, and the world got to hear about the case of Abdul Rahman, the man sentenced to death in Afghanistan for the 'crime' of converting to Christianity.

Although it now seems as though Mr. Rahman has been spared, the fact that this only came about because of huge international pressure, and that, further, the judge who sentenced him immediately went on record as urging ordinary Afghans to 'tear Rahman to pieces' upon his release, acted as a wake up call for many of the people who'd believed the days of the Taliban were over.

Of course, for those of us who've followed the Jack Idema story for a while, Mr. Rahman's brush with death came as less of a surprise -- It was a similar, 'ex'-Taliban judge who presided over the travesty of a trial that saw Jack and his team convicted of kidnap and torture in September 2004. Back then, the bearded lunatic presiding over Jack's case, Judge Abdul Baset Bakhtyari, behaved in the following, bizarre fashion:

  • Announcing to the press his intention to find Idema guilty before the trial had taken place
  • Refusing to allow Jack and his team to present any evidence in their defence
  • Allowing prosecution witnesses to give evidence without being sworn-in
  • Failing to take note of the fact that the prosecution failed to provide any physical evidence that Jack or his team had kidnapped or tortured anyone
  • Refusing to allow Jack and his team to cross-examine prosecution witnesses
  • Refusing to allow Brent's court-appointed, female, lawyer into the courtroom (she informed Brent she had been threatened with death if she dared show up)
  • Engaging in whispered conversations and note-passing with the prosecution team to which the defence were not a party
  • Refusing to allow interpreters to translate statements made by the defence
Back in 2004, it was near-impossible for Idema to get anyone to listen to his complaints -- It's to be hoped that the Rahman case will illustrate to everyone that they were entirely justified.

So what can we do? Well, anyone reading this with their own blog can sign up for the weekly Free Jack Idema Blogburst by emailing Cao or Rottweiler Puppy for details. I'd urge everyone to do this, as we're still terribly short on takers. If you want to know more about the story, Cao's Blog has a large section devoted to Jack Idema. There's also a timeline here, and, of course, a huge amount of information is available over at SuperPatriots, without whose work none of us would have learned about Jack's story.

U.S Air Force thrawts terrorists placing IED, joint, combined missions continue

SOUTHWEST ASIA — A U.S. Air Force MQ-1 Predator flying in Operation Iraqi Freedom identified terrorists placing an improvised explosive device near Balad Air Base. The aircraft successfully shot an AGM-114 Hellfire precision-guided missle against the enemy forces.

In other OIF action, United States Air Force F-15s and U.S. Navy F/A-18s provided close air support to Coalition troops in contact with anti-Iraqi forces in the vicinities of Al Hawijah, Mosul and Tikrit.

In total, Coalition aircraft flew 46 close air support missions for OIF yesterday. These missions included support to Coalition troops, infrastructure protection, reconstruction activities, and operations to deter and disrupt terrorist activities.

In addition, 15 U.S. Air Force, U.S. Navy and Royal Air Force intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance aircraft flew missions to support operations in Iraq. Also, U.S. Air Force fighter aircraft performed in a non-traditional ISR role with their electro-optical and infrared sensors.

In Afghanistan, Coalition aircraft flew 20 close air support missions in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. These missions included support to Coalition and Afghan troops, reconstruction activities, and route patrols.

Four U.S. Air Force ISR aircraft flew missions in support of operations in Afghanistan.

United States Air Force C-130s and C-17s provided intra-theater heavy airlift support, helping sustain operations throughout Afghanistan, Iraq, and the Horn of Africa. About 160 airlift sorties were flown, almost 510 tons of cargo were delivered, and close to 2,950 passengers were transported.

Coalition C-130 crews from Australia, Canada, Japan and the Republic of Korea flew in support of either OIF or OEF.

Sunday U.S. Air Force tankers flew 25 sorties and unloaded more than 2.1 million pounds of fuel.

Iraqi Police learning basics

QAYYARAH WEST BASE COMPLEX — U.S. Army Sgt. 1st Class Joseph E. Evans of Columbus, Ohio, developed and runs an Iraqi Police basic skills training course, that brings recruits from across the country to Q-West.

Evans had experience in police training before he joined the Army.

“Before, Iraqi Police were just a reactive police force where they would sit in the police station and wait for something to happen,” said Evans. “Now we teach them to be a proactive police force, to go out into the community and to stop crime before it happens.”

With limited supplies and facilities, Evans has developed an 11-day course of basic police training. The recruits are taught first aid, Iraqi law, the Iraqi Constitution and prisoner handling.

“It used to be when someone wanted to become a police officer, they would be given a uniform and a handgun and told 'now you are a policeman, go get the bad guys,’” said Evans. “There are policemen who have been on the force for seven years and have never fired their weapon until yesterday at our range. They never took the weapon apart so they never were able to perform proper maintenance.”

Posted by PicasaEvans and his team teach handgun marksmanship and proper weapons cleaning and maintenance. The length of the next class will be extended to 21 days so the recruits can be given more in-depth training before they go to a police academy, whether it is the Jordanian International Police Training Center, the Mosul Public Service Academy or the Baghdad Police Academy.

“Our goal here is that they have the basic skills of a police officer and perform in an exercise and do well until they go to a police academy,” said Evans.

Muslim Terrorist Trial - Dont Mention The M Word...

Posted by Picasa
El Beeb our state broadcaster that we have to fund with the licence tax, seems to have a bit of a problem with this trial, no mention of Islam, one useage of the word muslim. Also I was watching the headlines today on El Beeb 24 and not a mention, lots of bits on the dhimmi Blair and the usual El Beeb spin on news reporting from Iraq - report only the bad news and put a heavy anti US spin on it. Rottweiller Pup is on the ball with this one in his coverage of it, when he points out:
Indeed, over the course of one, two, three, four, five, six articles on the proceedings, the word ‘Muslim’ makes only one appearance, while ‘Islam’ gets no mention at all

David Waters QC, for the prosecution, said: “Jawad Akbar referred to attacks upon the utilities, gas, water or electrical supplies. “Alternatively, a big nightclub in central London might be a target.”

Mr Akbar allegedly said: “The biggest nightclub in central London, no one can put their hands up and say they are innocent - those slags dancing around.”

Later, he was recorded saying: “I think the club thing you could do but the gas would be much harder.”

Mr Mahmood was allegedly recorded saying the Madrid bombings were “absolutely beautiful”, while brother Shujah said it would have been “fantissimo” if they had been staged during the holidays to target families.

He said Mr Mahmood had said: “You could get a job in a soccer stadium as a beer vendor.
“You just put poison in a syringe, injecting it in a can and put a sticker on it which would stop it leaking and give it out.

“Or you could get mobile vending carts - all those vans going round selling burgers. He said he had done it. I didn’t believe it. “He said you could stand on street corners selling poison burgers and then just leave the area.”

Posted by Picasa** One day the question will have to be asked, just how can we raise a generation who live in this nation and yet have no connection to it in any way shape or form? It is certainly not for the want of trying as the left have for the last thirty years done their best to educate and support the muslim population in the UK. Then the more difficult question has to be asked on how do we integrate populations into the mainstream whilst allowing them to keep their belief systems and yet making sure that they value ours enough to let us live in peace?

Operation Scorpion concludes

KIRKUK, Iraq Soldiers of the 2nd Brigade, 4th Iraqi Army Division, with assistance from Soldiers from 1st Brigade Combat Team, Bastogne, 101st Airborne Division, detained 52 suspected insurgents Friday during Operation Scorpion, a sequential cordon and search of eight villages in and around Hawijah.

During the second Iraqi Brigade-led operation in as many months, Iraqi Soldiers confirmed that 24 out of the 52 detainees were on their target list, built from their own intelligence gathering. The other detainees are being held for further questioning.

“This Iraqi Army Brigade has made tremendous progress in the five months we’ve been working with them,” said Col. David Gray, Commander, 1st BCT, 101st Airborne Division. “In October, they were loosely organized and not very well trained. The success of Operation Scorpion, and their ability to conduct a complex mission in the Hawijah area without suffering or inflicting casualties, demonstrates their professionalism and improved level of discipline.”

The Iraqi-planned and led offensive started just before sunrise, as Iraqi Soldiers linked up with their Bastogne comrades to begin their coordinated movement. Just after 4:00 a.m. Iraqi Soldiers moved through the villages, systematically searching for the selected targets that Iraqi intelligence indicated were in the area while OH-58 Kiowa helicopters from 2nd Squadron, 17th Cavalry Regiment, circled above and Soldiers from the 1st Battalion, 1st BCT, provided outer perimeter security. The thorough searches provided intelligence leading to more evidence and the capture of more suspects.

“This operation was developed and planned by Maj. Gen. Anwar, Commander of the 2nd Iraqi Army Brigade, and his staff,” Gray said. “The willingness and ability of the Iraqi Soldiers to take on a mission of this scope, and in an area that has been a hotbed of terrorist activity, is an indicator of the progress the Iraqi Army has made.”

Operation Scorpion began with supporting operations in the village of Mahoos and the city of Kirkuk. While 101st Soldiers provided perimeter security, Iraqi Soldiers, acting on their own intelligence sources, moved by helicopter into the village of Mahoos, searching for seven terror suspects. Within two hours of touching down, the Iraqi Company had searched their designated targets, captured five of their intended suspects, and were back on the helicopters headed for a nearby U.S. Army compound.

Meanwhile, in another supporting operation, Soldiers from the Iraqi Army’s 2nd Battalion, 2nd Brigade teamed up with Soldiers from 2nd Battalion, 1st BCT, to conduct raids for suspected terrorists in Kirkuk. As Coalition Soldiers provided outer cordon security, Iraqi Soldiers moved through the neighborhoods, capturing six intended targets. They also discovered a weapons cache of two unregistered AK-47 rifles along with various materials used to make IEDs.

The Iraqi security forces have proved their worth on the ground in this operation, both in terms of intelligence gathering and their skills at completing the mission. They have continued to make progress and they have unique advantages in identifying threats and deterring insurgent activity due to their familiarity with the area and culture.

The Falling Man - 9/11

A week or two back the documentary "The Falling Man" was put on tv, this was a program about the man who was seen falling head first from one of the twin towers. The program itself was a bit of a let down in that aside from a few guesses it failed to establish who he was or any new info as to his identity.

This is now known and I have put an article I came across by Frank Salvato below and link to the original.

Feeling the Pain of the Falling Man of 9/11
By Frank Salvato
CNSNews.com Commentary
March 24, 2006

Everyone remembers the horrifying images of September 11, 2001. Anyone alive and aware on that date will live with those images the rest of his or her life. The scenes of havoc and panic, destruction and slaughter, demonstrated beyond a shadow of a doubt that even though the United States military is the best trained and well equipped in the world, our country remains vulnerable to the wicked.

When one accepts the fact -- and it is a fact -- that the free world, not just the United States, is at war with radical Islam, this story is all the more chilling and disturbing.

The mainstream media in the United States has taken the images of September 11, 2001, off the television and out of the newspapers. They say that the images are too disturbing, that they incite a want for revenge rather than allow closure. But they are wrong to do this.

The United States should not and cannot simply forgive and forget just because the host country of the Taliban and al Qaeda -- Afghanistan -- has been liberated and transformed.

Facts demonstrate that al Qaeda, the Taliban and radical Islam have been planning and preparing to implement their global campaign of terrorism -- their declared war against the Western World -- since before 1993, well before September 11th.

Their central location for training may have been eliminated, but they had prepared for that, splintering like roaches to the four corners of the world, preparing, planning and implementing their battle plans made decades before.

Make no mistake, they are a cunning adversary. They understood that the U.S. would come after them. They planned for this event.

This war cannot be about "tolerance" or forgiving, or about understanding the "reasons why" someone would want to murder innocents whether it be with an airplane, a car bomb, a suicide vest or a saif.

This battle has to be about freedom and the right of innocents to live their lives in liberty, free of fear from an unholy sect of genocidal totalitarians who offer only oppression, dominance and terror as their bounty.

The "progressive" left and the complicit mainstream media would have us believe that America is to blame for her audacity in the promotion of freedom and free markets, liberty and the vision of a world free of dictators who torture, murder and slaughter for power.

To that extent, "progressives" and the agenda-driven media are dangerous and a direct threat to the existence of our country, teetering on the brink of treason and sedition. They will attack these words by saying that I have intimated that they are not patriotic and un-American.

For the record, I hold the belief that anyone who believes the United States brought 9/11 onto itself IS unpatriotic and un-American. I believe that they have become toadies for our enemy and should be treated and opposed as such.

While they manipulate the true meaning of the First Amendment's free speech clause, they attempt to indoctrinate and transform our youth and the less-than-suspecting among us into believing in the doctrine of self-loathing, an oppressive ideology born of the less than great thinkers of Europe almost a century ago.

In its March 15, 2006, edition, The Mirror, a British publication (the American mainstream media is too gutless to publish such truth), revealed the identity of a man who had to make the unimaginable decision of whether to burn to death in the raging fires of the World Trade Center on September 11th or escape the pain of hell on earth by leaping from the top of one of the world's tallest buildings to his certain death.

The article is titled "Revealing the Identity of the Falling Man of 9/11." Jonathan Briley was "The Falling Man of 9/11."

I beg of each of you to read the article. Look at the picture and feel Jonathan Briley's helplessness, his terror, and then try to imagine the split second of excruciating pain that he felt when his body hit the cement below with such force that he, a human being just seconds before, was left a bloodstain on a sidewalk, slaughtered like road kill by radical Islamists.

The people of the United States need to rekindle the flame of emotional anguish about the attacks of September 11, 2001. We need to seethe. We need to employ the ingenuity and intelligence that is fostered in a free society dedicated to liberty, and scream our ire from the top of the world. Then we need to take definitive action.

If we are to wage war on terror, then let us be the ones who strike terror into the hearts of our enemies. Let us bring terror to those who blow up innocents, saw the heads off hostages and threaten the world with words of annihilation and nuclear Armageddon.

If we are to be in a war we did not choose to begin, then in the memory of all who have fallen to provide freedom and liberty to the world, let us be the ones who act decisively to end it.

We need to embrace the undeniable truth that the free world is at war and cease pandering to those who would wake up one day in the future ruing the fact that we should have acted earlier.

A pre-emptive strike doctrine for the United States? You're damn right!

(Frank Salvato is managing editor of The New Media Journal.us.)

South London drug dealer Adrian Thomas was drawn to the Oxford Road area of Reading like a bee to a flower.
In early April 2005 he rented a cheap flat in the name of Michael Brown and began dealing drugs to the local addicts.
Two weeks later Thomas was attacked in the flat by a number of local men, who robbed him of money, a mobile phone and his stash of drugs.
He had been stabbed a number of times but after being treated in hospital he was discharged. Thomas, known by the streetname Redz, did not report the incident to the police.
He retreated to south London nursing his pride and told friends he had been “set up” by a girl who had visited his flat.
“She must have left the door open,” he said.

Iraqi Army division assumes battlespace responsibility

CAMP TAJI, Iraq – The 1st Mechanized Battalion, 1st Mechanized Brigade, 9th Iraqi Army Division, assumed battlespace north of Baghdad from 1st Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division's Special Troops Battalion, during a ceremony Monday.

The battle space assumption further increases the area of responsibility for the 9th IAD by about 9-square miles.

“The Iraqi Army is getting better every day,” said Col. James Pasquarette, commander of 1st BCT. “They are a capable security force. They impress me because they can gather intelligence from the Iraqi citizen better than we can.”

“They (the Iraqi Army) are motivated and trained to take over the mission. I was really impressed,” said Capt. Lou Castillo, commander of Headquarters and Headquarters Company, STB, 1st BCT. “They are a ready and trained force.”

The STB transitioned from land management to project management of all the infrastructure, reconstruction and essential services projects occurring in the brigade's area of operations.

“It's a good thing to have the Iraqi Army assuming more of the battlespace,” Pasquarette added. “It's our goal for them to take over our entire area of operations before we leave.”

“Since we are no longer responsible for the battlespace that we had, that's a company that does not have to return to Iraq and is freed up to do something else,” said Maj. David Patton, the operations officer for 1st STB. “Now we manage 73 projects valued over $38 million throughout the Raider Brigade area. We will continue to be very busy.”

In the BCT's area of operation, the 1st Mechanized Brigade, 9th IA Division, is conducting independent operations. The 2nd Tank Brigade, 9th IA Division. will assume their portion of the battle space in a few months.

Iraqi Police graduate, return to secure neighborhoods of Ramadi

RAMADI, Iraq “We are the future of Iraq , each and every one of us. We believe in our cause,” said a newly appointed Iraqi Policeman, as he stepped off the bus at the Ramadi Glass Factory Friday morning. “The conditions we are living in now; with the insurgency and terrorist around us, is no way to live life. We will make a difference for our sons and daughters.”

One hundred ninety-six Iraqi Policemen, known as the Sons of al Anbar, successfully graduated from the Baghdad Police Academy on March 23, 2006. The Policemen were escorted by bus to the Ramadi Glass Factory where they were greeted by enthusiastic Iraqi Army and Coalition Forces.

This IP class left Ramadi for the Baghdad Police Academy on January 13, 2006, and they represent the first trained group of Iraqi Police Officers to graduate and secure the neighborhoods of Ramadi; a former insurgent stronghold.

General Sha'aban Muhammed Samier, the Al Anbar Provincial Police Chief, made it a priority of his to personally welcome the Sons of Al Anbar back to the city of Ramadi . “The Iraqi Police has been established to protect the people of this province, and the citizens are supporting the Iraqi Police Force. The Iraqi Police must be successful in order to ensure safety for our elderly, our young children, our women and our families,” said General Sha'aban.

“There is no difference between Sunni and Shia, we are all Iraqis. One thing we learned at the police academy is that we must work as one family to win against the insurgency,” said a police graduate.

In the coming days, these IP graduates will be measured for their uniforms and will receive the following: work boots, individual body armor, and weapons. Additionally, they will receive additional training designed to introduce them to patrolling the neighborhoods of Ramadi.

“When the buses pulled in this morning I walked up to the first bus, opened the bus door and welcomed home the Sons of Al Anbar. To me, opening that bus door signified opening the door to their futures, and a new start for the Iraqi Police to create a stable and secure environment for their fellow citizens of Iraq,” said Capt. Roger Churchwell, a resident of Kansas City , and the Iraqi Police Liaison for the 2/28 BCT.

After questioning the men, the Soldiers quickly found and secured the IED. The troops also confiscated two AK-47 assault rifles, shovels and the detonating device the men were preparing.

Terrorists' bombs have taken a heavy toll against Iraqi civilians. Four Iraqis were killed March 24 when a bomb was detonated outside a mosque in Khalis, and 17 civilians in northern Iraq have been wounded by IEDs during just the past week.

Company C Soldiers seek out enemy forces

TIGRIS RIVER, IraqSoldiers from Company C, 1st Squadron, 61st Cavalry Regiment, 506th Infantry Regiment, conducted a waterborne operation across the Tigris River March 15 to search designated houses for weapons, improvised-explosive devices and bomb-making materials.

While most of the elements are referred to by the cavalry designation of "Troop", Company C is composed of infantry Soldiers, adding an extra dimension to the battalion's mixed reconnaissance, surveillance and target acquisition force.

"We're basically the brigade Lerps," explained Sgt. Jason Hughes, team leader for 1st Platoon, referring to the nick-name for Long Range Reconnaissance Patrols that were a legendary force during the Vietnam War.

Hughes and his Soldiers had been living in the field for days preparing for this operation, he said. His unit, a mix of marksmen, mortars and medical elements, had already eliminated terrorists from their side of the river. They also scouted the target houses that were slated to be engaged during the final phase of the operation.

"This was a long operation,” said Hughes, “It started about two weeks ago with counter-fire and mortar operations. "We reconned the area three days ago in preparation for the cordon and knock."

Three of the houses had been targeted as being possible safe houses for anti-Iraqi forces. During the area reconnaissance, troops observed discarded water bottles, anti-Coalition graffiti and bed rolls inside the gutted buildings. Civilians in the area had expressed concern about “foreigners and outsiders” coming through the area occasionally, believing these strangers to be conducting terrorist operations.

The Soldiers of Company C loaded up in Zodiac boats under the light of the full moon and glided across the ancient river to rendezvous with their objective, the culmination of the work and hardship the team had endured.

"The waterborne training we had back on the lake at Fort Campbell was good," said Pfc. Harold Turner, a native of Marion , Ind. "We can't get a lot of training out here. We do rehearsals, make sure everybody knows their position."

The troops of Company C are adamant in their belief that missions like this are effective in their area of operations.

"We're definitely making a difference," said Spc. Charles Butcher, an infantryman with 1st Platoon. "When we first got to Rustamiyah, the forward operating base was getting mortared nightly; it's not like that now. The number of IEDs has gone down drastically since we got here."

When the Soldiers moved up to the suspect houses, they received little resistance from the Iraqi citizens in the area. "They see us from over there, on the other side of the river, but they haven't really 'seen' American forces in about eight or nine months," said Hughes. "Now they know we can show up at any time, especially with a unit like ours – you never know."

Company C searched numerous buildings, questioned the locals about possible criminal activity and scoured the area for the enemy. They would leave the area hours later with a few more leads to be followed up on.

"It was a dry hole, but you're going to get that sometimes," said Hughes. "Overall, it was a success from an operational standpoint. If nothing else, we made our presence known out there," Hughes said. "This is what I love. What I love more than anything else is to come out here and come after the bad guys."

Iraqi Police report to Baghdad Training Academy

RAMADI, Iraq ABout 220 Iraqi Police officers successfully left from the Ramadi Glass Factory and arrived safely at the Baghdad Iraqi Police Basic Training Academy Friday morning.

Known as the Sons of al Anbar, these 220 Iraqi males completed the final stage of the initial IP process in early March in order to secure their futures, and help establish a strong police force in Ramadi, a former insurgent stronghold.

“I signed up to be an Iraqi Policeman so that Iraq can become free and secure from the insurgency,” said an Iraqi Police recruit as he waited in line to be processed for the academy. “Once we return to take care of the streets of Ramadi, the American Forces can reduce their presence in the city.”

The dedicated efforts made by local Ramadi community leaders, government officials, Iraqi security forces and Coalition Forces have resulted in successfully obtaining the large number of Iraqi Police recruits needed to secure the streets of Ramadi.

“I receive a lot of self satisfaction in helping to rebuild the Iraqi Police Force in Al Anbar,” said Capt. Roger Churchwell, Iraqi Police Liaison for the 2/28 BCT, and a resident of Kansas City , Missouri .

“We are securing the future of Ramadi and making history at the same time. We currently have over 900 Iraqi Policemen going through the IP Training Academies in Baghdad and Jordon, and this group will take us over 1,100. A few months ago achieving these numbers was just a dream, and the dream has become reality.”

More Iraqi Police candidates are scheduled to attend training academies in April and May. These 220 Iraqi Policemen will begin their 10 week training class at the Baghdad Police College.

Day five on the Jabouri Peninsula yields more significant finds

JABOURI PENINSULA, IraqAt the end of day five on the Jabouri Peninsula, coalition forces and the Iraqi Army netted more significant finds of weapons and munitions including four SA-14 surface to air missiles in the area north of Balad.

Members of 1-8 Combined Arms Battalion, 3rd Heavy Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division, Task Force Band of Brothers, along with the 1st Battalion, 3rd Brigade, 4th Iraqi Army Division, have swept the peninsula for five days now to disrupt insurgent activities, and collect stores of explosives, weapons and ammunition insurgents used to attack coalition forces, Iraqi Security Forces, as well as neighboring citizens.

Most significant about the latest find was four SA-14 surface-to-air missiles. The SA-14 is a man-portable air defense system first manufactured in the mid-70s but still considered to be an effective surface-to-air missile system.

Iraqi Army and coalition forces also confiscated nine 155 mm artillery rounds, four 122 mm mortar rounds, 27 rocket-propelled grenades, eight RPG launchers, 10 – 57 mm rockets, a .50 caliber machine gun, various types of hand grenades, 50 pounds of explosives and various improvised explosive device making material.

Iraqi Soldiers continue to be an integral part of this mission because of the knowledge they posses about this area. They are familiar with the terrain and possible escape routes insurgents may use, and the Iraqi Army is able to assist the coalition forces in securing the area.

With these significant finds, and continued operations in the Jabouri Peninsula , the Fighting Eagles of 1-8 CAB are hopeful that attacks against Iraqi Army and police, coalition forces and the neighboring city of Balad will now decrease.

There is some bad news in that the dhimmi terrorist huggers - including prize dhimmi Norman Kember who through their own stupid actions got themselves kidnapped and one of them killed by the islamopaths have been rescued by special forces.
