More Good News From Iraq(as NOT reported by the BBC)

First off terrorist scumfuck and serial goat abuser "Juba" has been caught and is by now crying like a girl in some holding cell. All I can say is: Its gonna get a lot worse, just wait till he gets that cage in club Gitmo! Getting away from the subject a bit here, seems that Islam is going to be losing two of of its great and noble holy warriors(sic) from the UK as they are being deported to the Great Satan(thats the US of A to the rest of humanity) to stand trial for their evil crimes.

Yes, Haroon Rashid Aswipe(sorry Aswat) and Babar Ahmad are accused of various crimes: Ahmad, a computer expert from Tooting, south London, is accused of running websites inciting murder and urging Muslims to fight a holy war and also to raise money for the Taliban. Cue the obvious jokes about the Tooting Taliban and jokes about Wolfie Smith.

Aswipe(sorry keep calling him that), a British man arrested in Africa, faces trial on charges of plotting to set up a camp in Bly, Oregon, to train fighters for war in Afghanistan. He has been fighting extradition to the US since being arrested in Zambia and held in the UK.

Yes these "brave" jihadiscum have cowered and snivelled like the gutless savages that they are behind the lawyers paid to defend them from the nasty ol US of A. Well glad to be seeing them leave, two less jihadists over here and Big Bubba on their cellblock gets two pretty new fish to play with each night. Have fun boys.

More on that first scum fuck I mentioned Juba over at The Jawa Report:http://mypetjawa.mu.nu/archives/185537.php

Seems that this particular Islamoturd has even a site and a mention on Wikipedia:

Always nice to see another islamoturd flushed away by the toilet of justice. Check out the bits below and you will see that all is not well for some other terrorist types.

11 HIGH LEVEL ANSAR AL SUNNA TERRORISTS CAPTURED
BAGHDAD, Iraq
– In one week's time, Coalition Forces captured 11 suspected senior-level terrorists of Ansar al Sunna during a series of raids in north-central Iraq during mid-November.

During the raids, Coalition Forces captured the terrorist emirs of Iraq, Ramadi, Baqubah, Tikrit, al Qa’im, Bayji and Baghdad. They also captured two terrorist facilitators, a courier, an explosives expert and a financier.

The detention of these terrorists delivers a serious blow to the AAS network that is responsible for improvised explosive device attacks and suicide attacks and on Iraqi government, Coalition Forces and Iraqi civilians. The AAS network is also responsible for multiple kidnappings, small arms attacks and other crimes in the central and northern part of Iraq.

AAS is considered by some to be a leading terror organization in Iraq as al-Qaida’s leadership continues to crumble and it loses its ability to function due to Iraqi and Coalition Forces systematic dismantling efforts.

Although some AAS senior leadership allegedly hide in Iran, they continually plan attacks to disrupt Iraqi reconstruction efforts. This allows the AAS leadership to attempt to disrupt Iraqi reconstruction progress using their followers, while keeping the leadership out of harms way.

The Iraqi people deserve to live in country free from terror. Coalition and Iraqi Forces will continue to disrupt terrorist networks by killing and capturing terrorists, intercepting and destroying VBIEDs and suicide vests and continuously degrading terror cells operating within Iraq.

Marines rescue hostage, uncover caches
Multi-National Corps – West PAO

FUHAYLAT, Iraq – Marines assigned to 3rd Reconnaissance Battalion, Regimental Combat Team 5 rescued one hostage and uncovered two partially buried caches today while conducting search-and-knock operations in Fuhaylat, Iraq.

“By rescuing this gentleman and capturing the kidnappers, it shows the Iraqi people we do care for them, their safety and their future,” said Lt. Col. William Seely, the 39-year-old battalion commander from Saigon, Vietnam. “I am extremely proud of those Marines. The Marines saved a life and reunited a family. It just doesn't get any better.”

After receiving intelligence from reliable sources, the Marines raided a house and launched an extensive search of the premises. “We hit the house, vehicles enveloped it and we cordoned it off,” said Sgt. David Evans, a 23-year-old assistant team leader from Natchitoches, La. “We went through it and searched it.”

Soon after gaining entry into the facility, the Marines discovered three suspected insurgents in beds and a local national hostage, whose body bore marks of torture, huddled on the floor.

“It looked like they had beaten him pretty bad with a cane,” said Cpl. Eric Maxwell, a 21-year-old from Fort Pierce, Fla. “He couldn’t stand on his own; we had to pick him up. Our corpsman provided medical attention to the guy.” The three insurgents were detained.

The situation continued to develop, though, and culminated in the elimination of two arms caches.

“Another platoon had a (person) get away, so my vehicle and Cpl. Maxwell’s vehicle moved from the house; the rest of the element move in on the guy on foot,” said Evans.
After pursuing the fleeing insurgent through fields, the Marines chanced upon “a dug-up cache in a reed line,” he said.

The find led them to another cache 50 meters to the west on the other side of a canal.

In sum, the stockpiles yielded one 155 mm artillery round and 15, 130 mm artillery rounds. Both supplies were destroyed by combat engineers attached to 3rd Reconnaissance Battalion.

The Marines also uncovered several identification badges, insurgent propaganda, one Italian 8 mm pistol with magazine, one AK 47 assault rifle with a chest rig and six magazines, and one M14 with 10 rounds.

According to Maxwell, the day’s mission was “really productive.”
“You might see a decrease in IED activity in that area,” said Evans. “It makes them think, when is the next one going to come?”

“Saving that guy’s life was definitely a plus ten,” added Maxwell.

Senior Coalition Commander in Diyala Province says Baqubah still functioning Multi-National Division – North PAO

BAQUBAH, Iraq
– The city of Baqubah is fully operational and not shut down, as reported by some media outlets, according to Col. David W. Sutherland, commander of 3rd Heavy Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division and senior coalition Force commander for the Diyala province.

“The Government Center is open, and most of the ministries are present for work as are the city workers, the health care providers, and ambulances,” said Sutherland. “The Mosques are open, and the market in Baqubah has seen a rise in business as fresh fruits and vegetables are arriving and being sold daily. We also see construction projects progressing in the area, people going to the markets and walking the streets daily.”

“Iraqi Police are currently manning seven critical check points, and the Iraqi Army is manning four others,” continued Sutherland. “An additional check point is jointly manned by both forces.”
Sutherland acknowledged a recent setback experienced by the Iraqi Police, during an attack on the Buhriz police station by anti-Iraqi forces on Monday. The station was attacked and policemen fled the scene. However, he said this station will be rebuilt, fully manned and operational soon.

“That’s not indicative of the situation in all the other stations in the city,” Sutherland said. “The IPs are going through challenges with their leadership, logistics, and training. However, day in and day out, they show up to work. Even with the friction created by leadership challenges, the majority of the Iraqi Police remain at their post, ready to continue their work. I am very impressed with the loyalty and dedication of the individual policemen.”

“The erroneous reports are clearly an effort by some individuals to paint a picture of disarray and hysteria to destabilize the province,” added Sutherland.

According to coalition forces reports, there are currently approximately 985 IPs working in Baqubah enforcing the rule of law, and approximately 9,550 are assigned throughout the province. Additionally, an Emergency Response Force is manned and ready to respond to any crisis.

“I’m not going to paint a pretty picture—insurgent and terrorist organizations are attempting to destabilize the security forces, the government and the population through violence and misinformation,” said Sutherland. “However, the government and the security forces are in control.”

“Our Soldiers are conducting joint patrols with Iraqi Soldiers in the city of Baqubah 24 hours per day,” said Sutherland. “We are fully committed to support the government in establishing a safe environment -- one that allows economic growth, infrastructure development, and most importantly, security for the people of Diyala.”

EIGHT TERRORISTS KILLED DURING EARLY MORNING RAID NEAR BAQUBAH

BAGHDAD, IRAQ
– Coalition Forces killed eight al-Qaida terrorists today in an early-morning raid near Baqubah.
Acting upon numerous intelligence sources, Coalition Forces launched an operation to detain individuals running a known terrorist cell. At the objective, Coalition Forces received enemy rifle and machine gun fire. Due to the heavy volume of enemy fire, Coalition Forces also engaged the terrorists with aircraft.

Coalition aircraft fired rounds neutralizing the enemy threat. Ground forces then cleared the objective of enemy activity. Upon a search of the objective area, they found two female local nationals who were killed during the firefight. Coalition Forces found machine guns, AK-47s and rifles at the scene.

Coalition Forces always strive to mitigate risks to civilians while in pursuit of terrorists. It is always unfortunate when civilians are hurt or killed during operations to rid Iraq of terrorism. Terrorists do not hesitate to deliberately place innocent Iraqi women and children in danger by their actions and presence.

Paratroopers capture 'Black Jumpsuit' cell
BAYJIEight armored vehicles crept through the narrow city street here searching for the objective. More than 20 Paratroopers would storm, secure and search the site for their target.

“That’s it. Let’s move,” the platoon sergeant calmly said over the radio.

Immediately the element dismounted their vehicles and raced toward the target house. Troops placed ladders and hurled themselves over the cement wall into the courtyard.

Once the courtyard was breached, the Paratroopers entered the house and found multiple small arms. They also detained one man linked to an insurgent cell.

“It was exciting,” said Staff Sgt. Mica Snell, fire support sergeant, Company C, 1st Battalion, 505th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 82nd Airborne Division. “You fight everyday, and when your spirits are getting low and you find (an insurgent), it brings them back up.”

Since the beginning of November, scenarios like this have occurred almost daily for the Paratroopers of Company C.

“We have caught a lot of the major players from multiple insurgent cells, providing a lot of useful information leading to the capture of more insurgents and the discoveries of their hideouts and weapons caches,” said 1st Sgt. Micheal Green, Company C.

One of the biggest cache sites discovered was found on Bayji Island. The site included hand grenades, rocket-propelled grenade launchers with multiple rounds, small arms, mortar tubes, mortar rounds and bomb-making material.

The find came after a unit called for support while detaining 11 individuals linked to an anti-Iraqi forces cell. The Paratroopers searched it and found a cache site that stretched across Bayji Island, said Green.

There were so many weapons and so much ammunition that the ordnance disposal team ran out of explosives while destroying the contents of the cache site.

The remaining weapons were taken back to Forward Operating Base Summerall for destruction.

Green added that after finding the cache there were no insurgent attacks in the area for more than 36 hours.

Later in the week, Coalition and Iraqi Forces conducted a raid based off intelligence informing Paratroopers of a terrorist cell that trademarks themselves with black uniforms.

When they searched the house, they found multiple black jumpsuits neatly hanging on a wall. Surrounding the uniforms was a scattered assortment of small arms and ammunition.

The “black jumpsuit” insurgent cell was shut down and out of commission in Bayji.

While raiding houses, Green says that the people understand why the Coalition Forces are there. They are very cooperative with the troops and often thank them for what they are doing for their community.

“When you are raiding a house in the middle of the night and the children run up and give you a hug you know you are making a difference,” said Green.

Because Company C has treated the Iraqis with dignity and respect, they have been able to get more information from the people of Bayji leading to the company’s success, which has created a safer and more secure area for the Bayji citizens, said Green.

“As we have worked through this area the people have grown more confident that we are actually here to help them, not only to get the bad guys out of Bayji, but to also help them in the situations the country has found itself in,” said Green.

Another MP Wakes Up To Islamist Threat.

A good speech from Michael Gove MP, who has several valid points on the piss poor attitude of New Labour with regards our security.

Michael Gove (Surrey Heath) (Con):

With your permission, Mr. Deputy Speaker, I wish to address my remarks to an issue that the Chancellor of the Exchequer has called the central challenge for Government and his Department—the funding and financing of terrorist activity. I took the liberty earlier of checking with the Clerk to the Table Office to ensure that my comments on this subject would fall within the precincts of the amendment, and I was assured that I was at liberty to discuss some specific questions. The Chancellor also stressed in his own remarks the importance of dealing with terrorist funding and financing as part of the Treasury’s basket of responsibilities.

On 10 October, the Chancellor said that it was ‘upon meeting and overcoming the challenge of global terrorism that all else we value depends’. In his speech on that date he outlined the Treasury’s role as the lead Department for our security. He specifically mentioned that the Treasury would have two responsibilities—interdicting terrorist financing and tackling the forces that encourage the separatism, extremism and isolation on which terrorism thrives. In his speech, the Chancellor congratulated himself on ‘the most comprehensive and expeditious asset freeze the Treasury has ever undertaken’.

But what exactly has the Treasury been able to seize from those suspected of involvement in terrorist activity? The true figure, as revealed following patient detective work by my hon. Friend the Member for Sevenoaks (Mr. Fallon), amounts to only £476,000 since 2002. That figure compares with some $200 million frozen by the American authorities. The Treasury’s effort is tiny by comparison. Its dragnet has caught minnows, not sharks. It has also had significant holes in it. As my hon. Friend the Member for Chipping Barnet (Mrs. Villiers) pointed out, Abu Hamza—now, happily, convicted of terrorist offences—whose assets were supposed to have been frozen, was able to transfer ownership of his home to his son, allowing his family to play the property market. How could Abu Hamza do that? It was because of a loophole that the Government had failed to address. The initial order, introduced in 2001, froze only funds, not assets. No change was made in that order until last month, just as the news of Abu Hamza’s situation was breaking in the newspapers. The loophole existed for four years and allowed someone convicted of terrorist offences to play the property market with public money.

Another area of profound concern was reported in The Sunday Telegraph yesterday. The European Union has stepped in to prevent the details of bank transfers being released to the US authorities when they fear that those transfers may materially affect terrorist activity. The European Union has ruled that privacy must come before security, but it will allow those same bank transfers to be scrutinised for taxation purposes. The Chancellor, in his speech on 10 October, stressed that he and Hank Paulson, the US Treasury Secretary, would take proactive steps to ensure that no regulation came between us and our security. Why are those EU regulations still in place, despite the Chancellor’s brave words? In those three specific areas, the Treasury has not dealt effectively with terrorist financing, despite the Chancellor’s putting the subject at the centre of his pattern of activities for the year.

In his speech, the Chancellor raised other real concerns about the way in which terrorism thrives as a result of the activity of extremist organisations. In a speech to the Foreign Policy Centre earlier this year, the Prime Minister pointed out that the threat that we face is not just physical but ideological. That ideological threat is rooted in the particular twisting of Islam known as Islamism, which has been propagated by organisations such as the Muslim Brotherhood. That organisation has a UK branch known as the Muslim Association of Britain, and it is the UK branch of the organisation known in the Palestinian territories as Hamas. However, there has been no effective scrutiny by the Government or the Treasury of the Muslim Association of Britain’s activities or funding.

Crucially, the Muslim Association of Britain and its most prominent spokesman, Dr. Azzam Tamimi, now run the Finsbury Park mosque for which Sheikh Abu Hamza was previously responsible. Abu Hamza may be behind bars, and his assets may, at last, have been effectively frozen, but the mosque from which he preached hatred is now under the control of a man who was responsible for praising suicide bombing, and who has said that the state of Israel will eventually be destroyed and replaced by an Islamic state. The Government allowed that to happen on their watch, and they also allowed the Muslim Association of Britain to play a key role in the Government’s own watchdog body for mosques, the Mosques and Imams National Advisory Board. How can we accept the Government’s claims that they take terrorism seriously when they are putting foxes in charge of the chicken coop?

I mentioned Hamas. Following brave reporting by John Ware, the investigative reporter who works for ‘Panorama’, one charity in this country was identified as having direct links with Hamas and terrorist fundraising. That charity is Interpal, which had been investigated by the Charity Commission. However, John Ware’s report revealed new, troubling details, including the fact that one of Interpal’s trustees, Mr. Ibrahim Hewitt, was appointed by the Government to their ‘Preventing Extremism Together’ taskforce. Mr. Ware and others have asked the Charity Commission to look again at Interpal’s operation, and the operation of other charities that are linked with terrorism. We await a comprehensive report—the Chancellor has promised it three times, but he has still not delivered it—that assesses the way in which charities have been used as a shield to promote terrorist financing and fundraising. Will the Minister ensure that, when the report is eventually published, the Charity Commission is given new powers to investigate proactively groups that spread terror and proselytise for extremism, under the cloak of charitable activity?

To be fair to the Government, two charities have been interdicted following action by the Treasury: Sanabel and al-Haramain. Those two charities are significant, because both are Saudi-based. In the United States Senate, the senior senator for New York, the democrat Charles Schumer, pointed out that Saudi-sponsored activity was responsible for the hijacking of moderate Islam and the spread of fundamentalist doctrine in schools, mosques and prisons. In a submission to the US Senate, Steven Emerson has pointed out the way in which organisations use the cloak of charitable activity to proselytise for an extremist agenda. In many cases, they choose to work through the direct funding of mosques.

There are some 1,600 mosques in Britain, most of them exemplary houses of instruction that provide spiritual nourishment to our fellow citizens, and that teach them in a tradition that all of us would think admirable. However, there are mosques—some with direct relationships with Saudi Arabia—that do not cleave to the moderate mainstream path taken by the majority of British Muslims. I shall mention two of them. One subject of concern is the East London mosque, which is one of the largest in Britain. Its president, Dr. Muhammad Abdul Bari, is the chairman of the Muslim Council of Britain, but the speaker invited to open the mosque, Sheikh al-Sudais, had preached sermons in his native Saudi Arabia in which he described Jewish people as pigs and monkeys. He has called Hindus idol-worshippers to whom it would be wrong to speak sweetly. That is an example of Saudi influence raising profound concerns.

An even more profound concern arises in connection with the plans, in east London, for the erection of the largest mosque—indeed, the largest house of worship—in the country. It is intended to accommodate between 40,000 and 70,000 worshippers, and it is estimated that it will cost between £100 million and £300 million. The mosque, which is being built by an organisation called Tablighi Jamaat, raises profound concerns, not least because that organisation has been described by French intelligence as an ‘antechamber of fundamentalism’. Two of the 7/7 bombers had direct links with the Tablighi Jamaat mosque in Dewsbury. Richard Reid, the shoe-bomber, had links with the organisation, as did John Walker Lindh, the so-called American Taliban. How can an organisation that, according to the Charity Commission, records an income of just £500,000 a year, afford to build a mosque that will cost anything between £100 million and £300 million?

It is my contention that we need a thorough and bipartisan investigation by the House into the foreign funding of extremism in this country. We can learn a lot from the United States, and the way in which the Senate used its investigative tools to work out exactly how a noble religion is being subverted by extremists. I am sure that the Chancellor is sincere in his determination to combat terrorism and root out the extremism that sustains it, but unless he shows a greater degree of urgency in dealing with the problem, and a greater attention to detail when matters are brought before Ministers, and unless he empowers the Charity Commission and other agencies to use proactive investigatory powers, I am afraid that we will always be on the back foot in one of the most vital battles of our time.

The other MP who has covered this was: Paul Goodman, lets just hope a few more wake up before we become Britainistan

Jack Idema Blogburst

Regular readers of the Free Jack Idema Blogburst will recall the events last month which resulted in Brent Bennett’s forcible removal from Afghanistan. As Brent was being dragged out of the country in handcuffs, Jack Idema was involved in a tense standoff with the fifty-or-so Karzai goons who were trying to move him to a prison away from his (relatively) secure quarters at Pulacharke.

Although Northern Alliance Generals eventually resolved that situation by forcing Karzai’s troops to stand down, the number of pro-Taliban, non- Northern Alliance guards working at Pulacharke Prison has been increasing steadily for some time.

This week (though apparently only reported by Cao’s Blog and in the Gulf Times) the results of this policy became clear:

KABUL: Three men held at Afghanistan’s main prison on terrorism charges walked out of the high-security facility by pretending to be visitors, while another inmate was found dead, officials said Thursday.
The men who escaped from Pul-i-Charki prison on the outskirts of Kabul on Wednesday were facing sentences ranging from death to 15 years in jail after being convicted of terror offences, officials said on condition of anonymity.
They did not say if the three were linked to the Al Qaeda or Taliban extremist groups active in Afghanistan or give details of the charges.
The interior ministry refused to comment, saying it was trying to collect details.

Now, Pulacharke is Afghanistan’s most secure prison. Aside from one illegally-imprisoned U.S. Special Forces soldier, it also houses some of the most brutal and dangerous terrorists captured during the WoT. And yet four such men (the very least of them jailed for fifteen years) simply walked out Pulacharke? Is this really credible? Or is it worth wondering if the presence of large numbers of Taliban-supporting guards at the prison was the real reason behind the ease of the terrorists’ escape?

If so, then this is a very worrying development in terms of the Jack Idema story. After all, if the security situation at Pulacharke is now so weighted in favour of pro-Taliban elements that four of the world’s most dangerous terrorists can simply stroll out of custody — If this is the case, then how will Jack fair when the next carefully-orchestrated al-Qaeda ‘riot’ occurs? In the past, he’s been able to count on the support of Northern Alliance guards. How will his new, pro-Taliban jailors react to a terrorist attempt on Jack’s life? By fighting to protect him? On the strength of this week’s events, that hardly seems likely, does it?

So what can we do? Well, anyone reading this with their own blog can sign up for the weekly Free Jack Idema Blogburst by emailing Cao or Rottweiler Puppy for details. I’d urge everyone to do this, as we’re still terribly short on takers. If you want to know more about the story, Cao’s Blog has a large section devoted to Jack Idema. Green Party - Eco Rubbish

It seems that not a day go's past without some bearded doomsayer preaching that unless we all repent of our ways, give up the car (taxes from which supply lots of lovely money to the economy) , turn down our heat(again bills supply yet more money), give up modern conviences, holidays on evil jets of pollution(again supply more money - you get the picture) that within a few years/decades/centuries we will all die out.

Not happy that we refuse to live in tribal mud huts, eating nuts and twigs the greens and the loonies of the left think up ever more bizarre ways to scare the people into repenting of the evils of capitalism and well having a decent standard of living.

They blame us for the ills of other nations, now we have the latest wheeze from the eco loons. I quote their words on international trade:

"The environmental costs of long-distance trade need to be properly taken into account," said Dr Caroline Lucas, Green Party MEP for South East England.
Are right so not happy with the basic laws of supply and demand - something that has happened throughout human history they now want someone to work out the environmental cost - if any - of said trade. Of course I will have to be a bearded tree hugger, as of course anyone else will be part of the Bush/Hitler/Zionist consipracy.

One thing is what do you use as the starting point, the factory where goods are made? When it gets to the ship or plane? How do you get other nations to sign up and do we really need another raft of busy bodies probing into affairs at more expense to the taxpayers?

"We must manage international trade in a way which is socially and environmentally sustainable, working towards global agreement on a raft of measures such as taxation on fuel and import tariffs designed to support home-grown businesses.

"This will help offset the environmental damage caused by ships like the Emma Maersk plying international waters filled with MP3 players and plastic toys."
Ah! Now we see the Greens position. Up taxes on fuel thus forcing the satanic car off the roads, bugger up free trade as the tariffs they bring in bite. One point tariffs fail to work, first off you will get smuggling - just look at the fiasco regarding tabacco and beer duties with a large amount smuggled in each year.

Of course you have to buy into the whole man is evil, making money is killing "mother Earth" blame the Americans/anyone who did not sign Kyoto bullshit. The whole global warming arguement has reached hysteria levels with any desenting voices now feeling a bit like they are facing charges of heresy.

alas this will hit businesses abroad, thus crippling the poorest nations that are crying out to trade with us in the global market - those who can least afford to deal with tariffs.

Oh and one minor point the bearded tree huggers need to think about is threatening to stop the large scale supply of plastic toys and MP3 players is hardly the way to reach out to the public in order to get them on board your eco-horse pulled-bandwagon.

Multi-National Division – Baghdad PAO

Prior to dawn, Coalition Forces discovered an improvised explosive device in a historic IED location in Hamaniyah. The patrol spotted two Anti-Iraqi Forces moving away from the trigger site. The two men took up positions on the roof of a house and observed the CF clearing the IED.

As Coalition Forces cleared the IED, the insurgents engaged the security element with small arms fire. After establishing positive identification, Coalition forces engaged with small arms and machine gun fire. As the insurgents continued to engage the patrol, Coalition Forces returned fire with main gun tank rounds. Coalition Forces conducted an extensive search of the house and found one male and five females, ages ranging from infant to teenaged, dead.

There was one female injured at the scene, who refused treatment. Her condition is unavailable at this time. According to local residents, the house was a known anti-Iraqi force safe house. It was reported that one of the insurgents was wounded and other insurgents came to him from the scene.

Tony Blair - Wrong Yet Again. Now he is apolgising for slavery.

Just what is it with Blair? The man clearly has no idea how the world works in any way shape or form, each thing his inept government tries to do they totaly fail to resolve whilst wasting vast amounts of our hard earned money in the process.

So Blair decides to whitter on about how bad the slave trade was, without going all the way and making a full apology for this nations part in it. First off we know how bad it was, indeed slavery is still going on in many ways in many different parts of the world today.

A lot of people - the usual unwashed new age Starbuck drinking, Guardian reading twats for example - have been saying that Blair should apologise. Maybe then the other nations who also took part in slavery could also apologise, like say Spain, France, Germany, USA, the entire arab/muslim world, even practising slave nations in Africa.

Oh and why the fuck dont we hear about the fact that everyone was enslaving people back then, even large numbers of our own population were tied to the land, traded by the landed types like cattle, had bugger all in the way of rights and dare they speak out its off to the colonys for you meladdo. Not to mention - and the BBC dont - that it was "shock horror" black Africans/Arabs who made a fine living thank you very much trading slaves - often their own people - to those nasty europeans.

Hell I dont care if chuckles Blair wants to apologise for that or not as the case may be indeed should he do so and looking on the positive side it could be the start of whole new craze of New Labour apologising, maybe then he and rest of the shower of shit that make up his fuctard government can apologise to all the people who voted New Labour and who have been let down time and time and time again.

My view, well I dont have any part in the slave trade and everyone who took part in it/was affected by it has died a long damn time ago, so any apology is fucking pointless. In short more pr fluff from a dying government desperately looking for some thing to make them look good.

Now when leaders and especially piss poor ones like Blair start fishing about for noble causes and talking about how nasty bad things like the slave trade are, you know there is another reason behind it. In this case votes, Blair is fucked, he is crawling on his knees seeing out the tab end of his piss poor time in No.10 desperate to gather each vote he can to minimise the damage when he has to go to polls and get a whipping off the electorate.

Good News From Iraq(as still not reported by the BBC)

Iraqi Security Forces detain 28 in raid in Mahmudiyah
Multi-National Corps-Iraq
BAGHDAD
– Special Iraqi Police Force, with coalition advisers, captured 28 people during a raid Nov. 20 near Mahmudiyah against an insurgent cell.

The cell is suspected of conducting improvised explosive device and mortar attacks against Iraqi Security Force as well as well as kidnapping, extortion and murder of Iraqi civilians.

Iraqi forces detained 10 insurgents; 18 others with outstanding Ministry of Interior arrest warrants; and another 15 suspects were detained and later released from Iraqi custody.

The insurgent cell is also believed to be responsible for conducting attacks against Iraqi Police and Army forces, and promoting sectarian violence in the northern Babil Province area.

There were no Iraqi civilian, Iraqi Force or Coalition Force casualties during this operation.

2nd BCT, 10th Mtn. Div. BOLT helps secure Iraqis future
RADWANIYAH, Iraq — Mohamad, an Iraqi farmer, found it difficult enough to survive on what produce he could eke out of his small desert farm. But when some of the carefully constructed irrigation channels were destroyed, he had no way to provide for his family.

Mohamad’s land was partially destroyed when the U.S. Army closed roads for military purposes. While the roads were closed a vehicle drove across his land, caving in the canal and stopping the water flow to his crops. Mohamad had nowhere to turn – except to the U.S. Army’s Brigade Operational Law Team for help.

The 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 10th Mountain Division, claims mission plays a vital role in promoting and maintaining friendly relations with the local Iraqi people.

“Money is essentially another weapon system on the battlefield,” said Capt. Nate Hummel, a native of Buffalo, N.Y., who serves as the 2nd BCT’s appointed, single-member, Foreign Claims Commission. “Not only are we living up to our moral and legal obligations in taking responsibility for our actions, but we truly are helping the Iraqi people.

”The BOLT is able to help the Iraqis under the provisions of the Foreign Claims Act."

The FCA allows compensation for local nationals who suffer damage, injury or death as a result of non-combat activities, negligent or wrongful acts or omissions committed by the U.S. military personnel.

“The (FCA) is good because we are trying to do some right to the accident that was done,” said Staff Sgt. Daniel Davis II, a native of Nashville who serves as the 2nd BCT BOLT noncommissioned officer in charge and the claims pay agent.

“Sometimes this is their only livelihood and their only means of survival. Our claims mission is primarily to help the Iraqi people.”

Every week the BOLT works hand-in-hand with the Iraqi claims personnel to provide assistance to the locals at either the Radwaniyah Palace Complex’s Civil Military Operations Center or Forward Operating Base Mahmudiyah, southwest of Baghdad.

The CMOC is fully staffed with several Iraqi interpreters, claims specialists and attorneys who review clams and assist in advising claimants on collection or proper documents, photographs and other pieces of evidence.

“When the locals come here (for help) we make sure to treat them in a good way and help them try and find a solution for their current situation,” said Saladean, the CMOC general information manager. “We try to help them so they can progress their future.”

While the Iraqi claims specialist and attorneys play a vital role in making sure the claims are legitimate, the paperwork is filled out correctly and the proper evidence is submitted the BOLT is hard at work ensuring the claims are paid.

“We try and make sure the claims are paid in a timely manner,” said Spc. Patrick Burtt-Henderson, the 2nd BCT claims paralegal specialist and native of Whitman, Mass. “We want to establish a good relationship with the locals.”

Since the 2nd BCT has arrived in Iraq, only a few months ago, the BOLT has helped many Iraqis, but all cases do not get approved.

“A difficult part of the job is when we have to deny claims that do not qualify under the FCA (Foreign Claims Act) due to the combat exclusion,” Hummel said. “Many local nationals find themselves in the wrong place, at the wrong time - caught in crossfire or escalation of force incidents, where U.S. Soldiers were doing their job and following the rules of engagement.”

Although some of the locals’ claims do not get approved, the BOLT tries to help (the Iraqis) in any way they can.

“Sometimes there are other avenues if the FCA doesn’t apply. One of these alternatives is using a Commander’s Emergency Relief Program (CERP) funded condolence payment,” Hummel explained. “Condolence payments are unique, in that they serve a ‘solace-like’ purpose. Often used to express sympathy and offer immediate and urgent humanitarian assistance.”

It is important that the locals build bonds with the United States so they will not turn to terrorist for help.

“I trust the people of the United States and I believe they don’t want to do anything bad to the Iraqi people,” Mohamad said. “They want to help the Iraqi people.”

Since the U.S. Army helped Mohamad he decided to join the Iraqi Army.

“Since I have seen the (U.S.) military helping the Iraqis I wanted to do something for my people,” Mohamad said. “I have already got my identification card and I am joining the IA.”
Mohamad was just one of the many locals who the BOLT has helped. Each week at least 50 locals ask for help.

“Paying these claims to the locals helps promote and maintain friendly relations in the 2nd BCT’s AO,” Hummel added. “This builds upon the local population’s trust and confidence in us (the U.S. Army).

”The BOLT will continue to run weekly meetings with the Iraqis throughout the deployment to help the Iraqis with their claims.

MND-B air crew destroys rocket launcher in Sadr City
Multi-National Division – Baghdad PAO
BAGHDAD
– A crew from a Multi-National Division – Baghdad attack helicopter destroyed a rocket launcher observed firing from a Sadr City neighborhood at approximately 7 p.m. Nov. 24.

After observing the rocket fire, the air crew moved to the location where the rockets were launched and made positive identification of the personnel firing the rocket launchers.

They engaged the target and destroyed the launchers.

“In all, six rockets were confirmed as fired prior to the U.S. intervention to prevent further escalation of sectarian violence among Iraqis and damage from these indirect fire systems,” said MND-B spokesman and public affairs officer, Lt. Col. Scott Bleichwehl.

Bleichwehl said the rockets launched impacted in an Adhamiyah neighborhood, near the Hanifa Mosque.

FOUR TERRORISTS KILLED, SIX SUSPECTS DETAINED
BAGHDAD, Iraq
– Coalition Forces killed four terrorists and detained six suspected terrorists during a mission to disrupt an al-Qaida vehicle-borne improvised explosive device cell in Tarmiyah Friday.

As ground forces made their way toward the targeted building, they received enemy fire from the vicinity of a mosque. Coalition Forces returned fire, killing four terrorists, and continued toward the targeted building.

At the targeted building, the ground forces detained two suspected terrorists. After they left the building, they returned to the vicinity of the mosque and six individuals, including two wounded men, exited the building.

Four suspected terrorists were detained and the two wounded men were treated by ground forces on scene. They were then medically evacuated to a nearby military medical center.

Considering the amount of human suffering and damage inflicted by VBIEDs, it is always significant when Coalition Forces are able to eliminate and detain terrorists involved in organizing these attacks.

TEN TERRORISTS KILLED, BOMB-MAKING FACILITY DESTROYED
Baghdad, Iraq --
Coalition Forces killed ten terrorists and conducted an air strike on an improvised explosive device factory during three simultaneous raids near al-Taji today.

While approaching the objectives, Coalition Forces encountered small arms fire and killed ten terrorists.

During the exchange of fire, one pregnant woman and one teenaged male were injured. She and the teenage male were immediately treated and subsequently evacuated to Coalition medical facilities for further treatment. The teenage male died shortly after arriving to the hospital. The woman was treated for minor injuries and is expected to be released tomorrow.

After the fighting, Coalition Forces conducted a thorough search of the target area and discovered significant caches consisting of rocket-propelled grenades, machine guns. anti-aircraft weapons, pipe bombs, and more than 3,000 feet of detonation cord. The caches were destroyed by coalition aircraft. No one was injured during the air strike.

Coalition Forces strive to mitigate risks to civilians while in pursuit of terrorists. It is always a shame when terrorists hide among civilian women and children, putting them in harm’s way.

IA conducts census, security operations in Ramadi
1st Brigade Combat Team, 1st Armored Division PAO

AR RAMADI, Iraq – Iraqi soldiers with 2nd Battalion, 1st Brigade, 7th Division, conducted a census and security operation in western Ramadi Friday.

More than 100 soldiers, led by their commanders, conducted the census operations and ensured the security of the western sector of Ramadi.

The 2-1-7 Iraqi Army battalion planned and executed the motorized, mechanized and dismounted operation employing T-72 Tanks, High Mobility Multi-Purpose Wheeled Vehicles (Humvees) and dismounted patrols during a four hour operation. Demonstrating good communication between battalion elements, the Iraqi soldiers were able to secure more than 75 structures during the operation.

“They demonstrated their ability to exercise command and control as a battalion sized combat unit,” said 1st Lt. Brett V. Taylor, advisor for the 2-1-7 IA.

The operation sets the conditions for the 2-1-7 IA to assume the lead and take responsibility for their portion of the city. Once the area of operations is officially transferred to 2-1-7 IA, they will be the third and final battalion in the 1st Brigade, 7th IA to own an area of operation in Ramadi.

The battalion also conducted key leader engagements in Ramadi and visited the Women’s and Children’s Hospital. Their visit to the hospital was coordinated with policemen from the Western Ramadi Police Substation, and included delivery of much appreciated medical supplies.

Paul Flynn MP- Supporting Commies No Matter What.

The dictatorship in North Korea has a friend in Newport MP Paul Flynn. Yes indeed Mr Flynn hardened old style labour(pinko commie) MP that he his has decided just to put off his previously planned visit to North Korea.

As he says on his site:

Sadly after, the delegates had their innoculations and learned the simple greetings in Korean, the trip was called off four days before we were due to fly to Beijing. Almost certainly the reason was the fear that North Korea were due to explode a nuclear device while we were there. Most of the delegation are very keen to organise another visit. Creating some understanding between our two countries is now even more important than ever.
Well gee thats fucking nice Paul, you are dead set against the UK having nuclear weapons in any way shape or form yet see no problem in visiting a terrorist state that is dying to get hold of them rather than feed its own people.

Must some form of New/Old Labour logic in there some place, if we hold nukes then we are wrong(no lets not argue its the blinkered drug addled views of Paul Flynn MP) yet if the murderers in North Korea(who declared war against the south without a formal declaration of war and to this day have not actually declared peace, just a ceasefire under US pressure and the fact they were losing said war) have them then well thats defending the socialist dream against the imperialist US or some such bollocks.

In the looney Mp's own words about his planned visit to the murdering scum that rule North Korea through fear and torture.

Its aim was to foster international understanding and peace.

On who's terms certainly not ours, maybe the pipe dream peace of the communist north whos people starve and vanish if they dare speak out, maybe the terms of the mad and few remaining communists in Europe who wank off over their copies of the manifesto(bring back old memorys Paul? Yes I know its most likely not gone up in your case since the fall of the Berlin Wall and millions of soviet slaves regaining their freedoms and picking the free west over socialist slavery) and not even the UN's who have condemmed North Korea for the nuke test and I thought the shit George Galloway was bad, yet have worse as my own elected MP.
