Fat kids - All we get from the parents is excuses.

First we had Connor McCreaddie, the 8 yr old who was a massive gut busting 14st. The calls from the media and some other "experts" that all this was some form of child abuse, no piss poor parenting but not child abuse.

Now we have another story in todays The Sun about another child
Samantha Hames, yep she is 14st as well.

So what do we get from the parents? Well not a lot of discipline to be fair, in fact not much in any way shape or form. Her mother says that she has even
tried padlocking the kitchen door to control her eating.

But Angela, 42, said: “Sam wouldn’t rest until she found the key. She would tear the house apart looking for it.” - Well love not much sympathy here, you made a rod for your own back there spoiling the damn child.

Of course knowing this damn fool government it would not surprise me if they set up a Ministry of Pies, or a Pie Czar to tackle the problem. After all why blame feckless parents who cant control their poor darlings when Father state can take over the problem. Now I wonder who they could put in charge of that one....

Mind you in this day and age, everyone is just so bloody pc that they dare not take the piss, especially where it involves kids even if they are fat porkers, then again well maybe not. Having read this I figured some japery was in order and so I have posted the lyrics to the Macc Lads track Fat Bastard below.

Also explains the difference between euro metric malarky and proper measurements.

(to the tune of Blockbuster by The Sweet)

He'll eat your pies, he'll tell you lies,
You wouldn't believe that fat bastard's size
His massive gut is forty foot, it goes dark when he walks in the pub
His buttocks part, you'll smell his farts,
He's so fat, he can't wipe his own arse.
So now you've heard about the ugly turd,
He's a virgin and he's never had a bird

Does anyone know he's gay? He goes round spreading AIDs.
(We haven't got a clue where the fat fucker is)
Has anyone seen him eat? He's never seen his feet.
The fat bastard.

Five hundred pounds, he's very round,
But he gets taller when he lies on the ground
He busts his flies, but he can't hide,
Coz he's too big, too fat and too fucking wide

Can anyone guess his weight? That was his fourteenth plate
(We haven't got a clue where the fat fucker is)
His backside blubbers about, cleavage peeping out
The fat bastard

Where's the fat cunt at? Even his fat is fat.
(Found him, he's over here)
You took your time to spot him, he's got an enormous bottom
The fat bastard

Keith Wilmot Chorlton - Being Investigated. Dial/Yes Loans

Yep seems that all the media coverage into Yes Loans and its leader - disqualified director Keith Wilmot Chorlton, a man who been barred from holding a directorship due to fraud - has finally paid off.

The company I have been informed is under investigation by the DTI Companies Investigation Branch, this uses powers under the Companies Act 1985 to look into companies that are not complying with the law, directors who should not be directors(yeah thats you Keith) and such like.

Well they need only look at their own records to see that Yes Loans took there merry time in filing the companies accounts in with Companies House.

But it gets better for Chorlton and co, seems that the FSA(Financial Services Authority) will be popping in for a chat sometime in March - I have been told the 18th but may be wrong on that. This may just be an informal check on things- yeah right and pigs might be flying, but after all those complaints on tv programs like X-Ray who knows?

Maybe Keith will be packing his bluetooth headset away and flying off to a non extradition country. I hear that Turkish North Cypress is good this time of year. Although maybe Iran would be better as there are no pubs for Keith to get into fights in... Oh don't leave Alan Spedding behind to face the music, I am sure you can afford another one way ticket to some alien nation.

Mind someone advised me that not being able to work his Sat-Nav will be the least of Keiths problems then....

**Update (1st March2007) passed on all info I have to the FSA, after all if they are popping down for a chat and some tea and choccy biscuits I feel that they should know that the "advisor" Keith Wilmot(he hates being called that) Chorlton is a convicted criminal, a barred director and that Yes Loans has been featured on BBC consumer affairs program X-Ray.
** Oh I have also noticed that a Google search for "Yes Loans" brings up the X-Ray site(links below) and also the review page on Blagger.com - both on the first page, so hopefully that will reduce the number of people getting ripped off by Yes Loans.

Oh here is the bit on the X-Ray site on dubious company Yes Loans:

Jack Idema - Blogburst

It’s now been four weeks since anyone in the outside world heard from illegally-imprisoned US Special Forces soldier Jack Idema. Since it seems likely (though by no means certain) that if Jack had been killed or seriously injured in clashes with Karzai’s troops, news of this would have been released by now, those of us working to bring this man home have every reason to be more hopeful than was the case two weeks ago.

However. Jack’s inability to reach either a sat-phone or internet connection is still a huge cause for concern. Indeed, this extended silence raises the possibility that he is no longer in Pulacharke at all, but has been moved to Tawab Keef prison.

As anyone following this story will remember, way back in October of last year, the following preparations for such a transfer were put in place:

At Tawab Keef prison near the US Embassy in Kabul, cells 2 and 10 await. The previous occupants, about 20 Afghans, were cleared out about two days prior to the dinner at Pulacharke with the Commandant. And everyone at Tawab Keef knew who the two Americans were who were about to arrive.

At that time, of course, Jack’s second-in-command, Brent Bennett, was also being held in Pulacharke. Both men were expected to attend a dinner with the prison Commandant, at which point they were to be ambushed and forcibly transferred to a pair of solitary confinement cells at Tawab Keef. By chance, however, Jack was unwell that day, and since Karzai’s goons were unable to seize both men at that time, only Brent was captured. Faced with the prospect of Jack raising hell about Brent’s whereabouts, Karzai was forced to settle for having him removed from Afghanistan.

Since then, Jack’s compound at Pulacharke has been under siege from soldiers loyal to Karzai. In January this year, these troops renewed their attempts to dislodge Jack, as is evidenced by the last photos we have of him, fighting for his life with a baseball bat and Molotov cocktails.

So, question: After months of trying, have Karzai’s soldiers finally managed to move Jack to Tawab Keef? This would certainly explain why no one has heard from, or of, him in a month.

So what can we do? Well, anyone reading this with their own blog can sign up for the weekly Free Jack Idema Blogburst by emailing Cao or Rottweiler Puppy for details. I’d urge everyone to do this, as we’re still terribly short on takers. If you want to know more about the story, Cao’s Blog has a large section devoted to Jack Idema. There’s also a timeline here, and, of course, a huge amount of information is available over at SuperPatriots, without whose work none of us would have learned about Jack’s story.

Well well well, is Councillor Terry Kelly in a spot of bother?

Seems to be the Labour thing these days, if its not being investigated for honours and the like, then its the local councillors being grilled by pc plod over a spot of dubious accounting. Throw in a few libel cases, it makes one wonder is there any depth that New Labour politicos would not stoop.

Spotted this little gem at the ever brilliant Right For Scotland, now laughing like a loon, it would seem that four members of Renfrewshire Council are being investigated for fraudulent expenses claims.

Still I am sure that it shall all come out in the wash, or in court eventually. Clairwill has a good bit on this and some comment that Terry made that seems rather apt considering this.

Still as Labour types keep saying when its one of us, he/she is just a bad apple in the socialist barrel when its another party its exposing their true colours. Oh and A Very British Dude has also covered the Terry in his site here...with the title is Terry a crook

**Update wef(1st March 2007) - seems that Terrys site is getting a lot of chat, none of it positive about him and the various goings on with the local council. As of today people talking about/slagging off Terry on Technorati include:

British Dude, Right for Scotland, MacNumpty, A Needless Distraction

Terrys site can be found here: http://councillorterrykelly.blogspot.com Nothing there about this at the moment...

Health Tips

Been meaning to post this one for some time.
Q:
I’ve heard that cardiovascular exercise can prolong life; is this true?

A: Your heart is only good for so many beats, and that’s it… Don’t waste them on exercise. Everything wears out eventually. Speeding up your heart will not make you live longer; that’s like saying you can extend the life of your car by driving it faster. Want to live longer? Take a nap.

Q: Should I cut down on meat and eat more fruits and vegetables?

A: You must grasp logistical efficiencies. What does a cow eat? Hay and corn. And what are these? Vegetables. So a steak is nothing more than an efficient mechanism of delivering vegetables to your system. Need grain? Eat chicken. Beef is also a good source of field grass (green leafy vegetable). And a pork chop can give you 100% of your recommended daily allowance of vegetable products.

Q: Should I reduce my alcohol intake?

A: No, not at all. Wine is made from fruit. Brandy is distilled wine, that means they take the water out of the fruity bit so you get even more of the goodness that way. Beer is also made out of grain. Bottoms up!

Q: How can I calculate my body/fat ratio?

A: Well, if you have a body and you have fat, your ratio is one to one. If you have two bodies, your ratio is two to one, etc.

Q: What are some of the advantages of participating in a regular exercise program?

A: Can’t think of a single one, sorry. My philosophy is: No Pain…Good!

Q: Aren’t fried foods bad for you?

A: YOU’RE NOT LISTENING!!! … Foods are fried these days in vegetable oil. In fact, they’re permeated in it. How could getting more vegetables be bad for you?

Q: Is chocolate bad for me?

A: Are you crazy? HELLO . Cocoa beans! Another vegetable!!! It’s the best feel-good food around!

Q: Is swimming good for your figure?

A: If swimming is good for your figure, explain whales to me.

Well, I hope this has cleared up any misconceptions you may have had about food and eating healthier.

And remember:

“Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways - Chardonnay in one hand - chocolate in the other - body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming “Woo Hoo, what a ride!”

Get out and close the door behind you, Abu Qatada loses fight to stay.

Abu Qatada has lost his fight to stay in the land of the infidel. Always been amazed by that, they come to live here, with dubious claims or in Abu's case dubious paperwork, spout off about how bad things are then fight to stay in the land of ample benefits...

The home secretary welcomed the ruling, seen as the first test of a policy that seeks assurances deportees in terror cases will not be abused on return. Bit of a pity that he will not be tortured, should the government in Jordan need to torture him, well I am free on weekends. Just throw in a blowtorch, some meals and I'm your man.

The judgment by Special Immigration Appeals Commission (Siac) chairman Mr Justice Ouseley said members had concluded there was "no real risk of persecution of [Qatada]" on his return.
The alleged al-Qaeda figure's lawyers said he could face torture at home but the UK said he was a security threat. Qatada, who has been convicted in Jordan for terror attacks, is to seek leave to appeal the deportation ruling. One can hope that his appeal fails and the next stop is the airport for him.

The usual suspects from the "Human Rights" crowd of Guardian readers, unwashed socialist worker sellers, moonbats and terrorist huggers have of course crawled out of the woodwork.

  • Human rights lawyer Gareth Peirce said it was a "profoundly important appeal" that could have ramifications across the world.
  • Libertys head moonbat Shami Chakrabarti, saying "paper promises" were not enough.
  • Amnesty International UK campaigns director Tim Hancock said the group was "profoundly concerned" Siac had discounted evidence showing the risk of torture if Qatada was returned to Jordan.

Qatada, 45, has spent most of the past five years in prison in the UK under anti-terrorism and immigration laws. His legal team comprised of bottom feeding lawyers claimed that part of the government's case against him was based on evidence extracted by torture. Oh the irony, a man who plots terror, plans to use torture, enjoys the cutting off of heads by Islamofascist scum claims that.
But on Monday the Siac members dismissed the case put by Qatada, also known as Omar Mahmoud Mohammed Othman.

Siac accepted Qatada had "long-established connections with Osama bin Laden and al-Qaeda" and that he "held sway over extremists".

"He has given advice to many terrorist groups and individuals, whether formerly a spiritual adviser to them or not. His reach and the depth of his influence in that respect is formidable, even incalculable." the judgment said.

Qatada became one of the UK's most wanted men in December 2001 when he went on the run on the eve of government moves to introduce new anti-terror laws.

The Palestinian-Jordanian has always publicly distanced himself from claims of links to al-Qaeda and insists he has never met its leader, Osama Bin Laden. Well no doubt when he gets out of a prison in Jordan he can look up his old mate Osama.

Other scumbags removed from the UK:
Six to Algeria, one to France
Awaiting deportation: 23
Of which:
Four already lost appeals
Three withdrawn appeals
16 awaiting hearings or decisions

Toodle pip old chap and don't forget to wave on your way out of the UK.

Government Waste -

A major research institution has recently announced the discovery of the heaviest element yet known to science.

The new element has been named "Governmentium". Governmentium has 1 neutron, 12 deputy neutrons, 75 assistant neutrons, and 224 deputy assistant neutrons, giving it an atomic mass of 312.

These 312 particles are held together by forces called morons, which are surrounded by vast quantities of lepton-like particles called peons.

Since Governmentium has no protons or electrons, it is inert. However, it can be detected, because it impedes every action with which it comes into contact. A minute amount of Governmentium causes a reaction to take 4 days to complete, when it would normally take less than a second. Governmentium has a normal half-life of 4 years.

It does not decay, but instead undergoes a reorganization in which a portion of the assistant neutrons and deputy neutrons exchange places. In fact, Governmentium's mass will actually increase over time since each organisation will cause more morons to become neutrons, forming isodopes.

This characteristic of moron promotion leads some scientists to believe that Governmentium is formed whenever morons reach a certain quantity in concentration. This hypothetical quantity is referred to as "Critical Morass."

When catalysed with money, Governmentium becomes Administratium, an element that radiates just as much energy as Governmentium since it has half as many peons but twice as many morons.

Below we see a prime believer in this theory:

BAN SHARIA

Come on, only 700+ have signed this, click the link below and help stop Sharia law here in the UK.

Let our dhimmi of a Prime Minister know that we have had enough of being dictated to by a vocal and pardon the expression somewhat explosive community within our nation.

Recognise that Sharia Law is incompatible with Secular Democracy and Ban all implementations, accommodations and services that allow Sharia to be implemented 'by stealth' into the UK.

1. MUSLIMS TELLING US HOW TO RUN OUR SCHOOLS

http://www.dailyexpress.co.uk/news_detail.html?sku=1264

Demands for a ban on ‘un-Islamic’ activities in schools
will be set out by the Muslim Council of Britain today.

Targets include playground games, swimming lessons,
school plays, parents’ evenings and even vaccinations.

And the calls for all children to be taught in Taliban
-style conditions will be launched with the help of a
senior Government education adviser.

Professor Tim Brighouse, chief adviser to London schools,
was due to attend the event at the capital’s biggest
mosque.

His presence there was seen as ‘deeply worrying’, and
a sign that the report was backed by the Government.

Tory MP Greg Hands said: ‘The MCB needs to realise
it has to move closer to the rest of the community,
not away from it.

‘The presence of Tim Brighouse implies Government
backing of this report. This is very worrying.’

Terry Sanderson of the National Secular Society said
the report was a ‘recipe for disaster’.

He added: ‘Schools with even just a handful of Muslim
kids will find they have to follow these guidelines
because there aren’t the staff to have one set of
classes for Muslims and another for the rest.

‘The MCB shouldn’t try to force its religious agenda
on children who may not want it. The Government needs
to send the MCB packing.

Schools should be about teaching, not preaching.’

The report, Towards Greater Understanding – Meeting
The Needs of Muslim Pupils In State Schools, says all
schools should bring in effective bans for all pupils
on ‘un-Islamic activities’ like dance classes.

It also wants to limit certain activities during Ramadan.
They include science lessons dealing with sex, parents’
evenings, exams and immunisation programmes.

The holy month – when eating and drinking is not allowed
in daylight hours – should also see a ban on swimming
lessons in case pupils swallow water in the pool.

When swimming is allowed, boys should wear clothing
covering their bodies ‘from the navel to the neck’,
even during single-sex pool sessions, while girls must
be covered up completely at all times, apart from the
face and hands.

The MCB adds that schools should ensure contact sports,
including football and basketball, ‘are always in single
-gender groups’.

Even school trips are targeted in the report, which
wants them all to be made single-sex ‘to encourage
greater participation from Muslim pupils’.

It wants Arabic language classes for Muslim pupils,
and says the Koran should be recited in music classes.
And all schools should ensure they have prayer rooms
with washing facilities attached, it says.

In art classes, Muslim children should not be allowed
to draw people, as this is forbidden under some
interpretations of Islamic law.

And while the MCB insists that all British children
should learn about Islam, it wants Muslims to have
the right to withdraw their children from RE lessons
dealing with Christianity and other faiths.

The MCB says special treatment and opt-outs are
necessary because otherwise Muslim pupils will feel
excluded from school activities and lessons.

The MCB claims to be the voice of Britain’s 1.5
million Muslims and was heavily courted by politicians
including Tony Blair following the September 11 attacks.
Its former secretary-general Iqbal Sacranie was
awarded a knighthood in 2005.

But other Muslim groups criticised the report. Dr
Ghayasuddin Siddiqui of the Muslim Parliament of
Great Britain said: ‘There has been no discussion on
these issues in the Muslim community.’

And the Sufi Muslim Council – which claims to
represent far more British Muslims than the MCB –
said the report misunderstood Ramadan.

It added: ‘This is not what Islam or Ramadan is about.
Ramadan is about training yourself while carrying on
with everyday life.’

The Department for Education tried to distance itself
from the report last night, and insisted Professor
Brighouse was attending the launch only in a
‘personal capacity’.

A spokesman said it would read the report ‘with interest’.

The MCB did not comment.

It came as Britain's first Muslim peer called for women
to stop wearing veils, claiming that they represent
‘a barrier to integration’.

Reigniting the debate over the face veil, or niqab,
Lord Ahmed of Rotherham said there was no religious
reason why Muslim women should wear them – and claimed
that veils now cause society more harm than good.

The peer, who has urged the authorities to clamp down on
preachers of hate, spoke during a debate held in the
heart of the Arab world.

He told a mainly Muslim audience in Doha, Qatar, that he
does not want a legal ban on the veil being worn in
public – as many other nations are introducing, including
Muslim Turkey and Egypt.

But he said, ’The face veil is a barrier to integration
in the West. The veil is now a mark of separation,
segregation and defiance against mainstream British
culture.

‘There’s nothing in the Koran to say that wearing a
niqab is desirable, let alone compulsory. It’s purely
cultural. It’s an identity thing which has been
misinterpreted.

‘They were supposed to be worn so that women wouldn’t
be harassed. But women, and communities as a whole,
are now being harassed because they are wearing them.'

The Muslim Council of Britain’s assistant secretary
general, Inayat Bunglawala, said yesterday: ‘Peoples’
attitudes are responsible for harming integration,
not veils.

‘And wearing them is very much a matter for individual
Muslim women.’

The full document, setting forth the outrageous Muslim
demands, is here:

2. GOVERNMENT MAY BLOCK LONDON SUPERMOSQUE

http://in.news.yahoo.com/070218/43/6c80o.html

The British government is likely to block plans to
build a 'supermosque' on a site close to the venue
of the 2012 Olympics in east London.

The supermosque, called London Markaz, is supposed
to have room for 70,000 worshippers. The group behind
the project is reported to be Tablighi Jamaat, whose
charitable trust, the Anjuman-e-Islahul Muslimeen,
owns the 18-acre site.

According to the Sunday Telegraph, the Tablighi Jamaat
was called 'an ante-chamber for fundamentalism' by
French security services, and two of the July 7 London
suicide bombers had reportedly attended one
of its mosques.

The report also said that the organisation denied
any link to terrorism, and noted that it had never
been banned.

However, a senior security source told the paper
that he was concerned about the proposed mosque.
The planning application for the mosque is
expected to be turned down by the government.

An unnamed senior government source told the paper
that there were fears that the giant mosque could
damage community relations in the area, and
added: 'We are going to stop it.'

One of the reasons for turning down permission to
build the mosque is that it is so close to the
main Olympic venue that it may interfere with
preparations for the Games. The government source
told the paper that the planning application
needed to be rejected 'to give the Olympics
a clear run'.

The report added that until recently, it was
expected that the permission would be granted
after the project was agreed in principle
in 2001 between the Newham Council and the
Anjuman-e-Islahul Muslimeen.

The report said that the London Thames Gateway
Unitary Development Corporation, which has
planning powers over the site, and the London
Development Agency had supported the plans.

A spokesperson of a lobbying firm hired by
Tablighi Jamaat said: 'Our client utterly
refutes any links to terrorism. It is a predominantly
apolitical organisation seeking to go about
its faith in a peaceful way.'

The report added that Muslims living near the
site in West Ham had raised more than 3,000
signatures on a petition calling for the project
to be halted. The petitioners want any new mosque
to draw in all strands of Islam, it said.

Alan Craig, a Newham councillor for the Christian
People's Alliance party, warned of the 'community
and security impact' that the mosque would have,
and claimed that Muslims were already moving into
the area in preparation for its opening.

In a separate move, the Kingsway International
Christian Centre, Europe's biggest evangelical
church with a capacity of 12,000, is being
pulled down to make way for the Olympics, the
Sunday Telegraph added.

3. LONDON, MUSLIM CAPITAL OF EUROPE? LONDONISTAN!

http://www.cbn.com/CBNnews/83805.aspx

Some now call London the 'Muslim capital of Europe.'
No Western city has more mosques.

And now London could be home to the largest
Mosque outside of the Middle East.

Today, a neglected piece of real estate on London's
east end sees little more than commuter trains rumbling
past it. But it's the future location of what some
say will be the biggest Islamic in-road into Christendom
in 400 years: a gigantic mosque complex, the likes of
which the West has never seen.

The land for the proposed mega-mosque now only hosts
a small building -- a make-shift mosque. But imagine
a huge modern Islamic complex right in London; in effect,
an Islamic village for worshippers.

A video from the Web site of the mosque architect
Ali Mangera shows what will be called the London Markaz,
a 17-acre Islamic worship center for as many as 70,000
Muslims. Planned to be the hub of an Islamic quarter
for the 2012 London Olympics, it will dwarf many of
Britain's Christian cathedrals.

Alan Craig of Christian Peoples Alliance said,
'It's going to be very large. It's going to be a mosque,
it's going to be an Islamic garden, there's going to
be a library, there's going to be residential accommodation.

Craig is a councilman for the London borough of Newham
where the mosque would be built. He's fighting it.

'I'm not anti-Muslim,' Craig said. 'I'm a democrat.
I believe Muslims have the right to build mosques.
But there's a difference between your average mosque
down the road, and this monster mosque, this mega-mosque
that they want to build.'

But it's not just the size of the mega-mosque that's a
concern. It's who's behind it -- a shadowy group called
Tablighi Jamaat.

The FBI says that Tablighi Jamaat has ties to al-Qaeda.
The shoe bomber, Richard Reid, was associated with Tablighi
Jamaat, as were two of the 7/7 bombers who struck London's
public transportation system in 2005.

The money for the project is coming from sources in the
Middle East.

Even moderate British Muslims oppose the mosque, and have
circulated a petition against it. One of the leaders of
the Muslim opposition is Dr Irfan al-Alawi, who says
the mosque will be a security threat.

Al-Alawi said, 'I think, yes. Once the youth have been
brainwashed, and been captured by the satanic ideology
of the Tablighis, yes, it will come as a very hard-
hitting movement.'

But while some moderate British Muslims may think the
mega-mosque is a bad idea, it has one important booster,
the Mayor of London. 'The person who is really behind it
is Ken Livingstone,' al-Alawi said.

Far-left London Mayor Ken Livingstone, also known as
'Red Ken,' has what some would describe as a pro-Islamist,
anti-Israel track record.

He's called Ariel Sharon a 'war criminal' and has said
that British Muslims who go to the Middle East and kill
Israelis should not be called terrorists.

The mega-mosque project might have sailed through before
9/11. But in 2007, Britain is now considered a major
base for homegrown Islamic terrorism.

Newsweek reports that Britons are traveling to Pakistan
where they're being trained to carry out terrorist attacks
in the UK. Al-Alawi says Pakistan is also where Tablighi
Jamaat sends young British-born Muslims to be brainwashed
into extremism.

Al-Alawi asked , 'Is the British government really going
to turn a blind eye on that and say, let's go ahead and
give these people a chance? I don't think so. If they
want a 9/11 in England, then by all means.'

But Melanie Phillips, author of Londonistan, says the British
left still believes that accommodating radical Muslims
will somehow pacify them.

'It's taken the line of least resistance and it, very foolishly
in my view, believes that if you give in to the demands
being made by extremists, you kind of make the problem go
away,' explained Phillips.

But if anything, the 'problem' in Britain is growing. Polls
last year showed almost a quarter of British Muslims believe
the 7/7 London bombings were justified, and one in three
want to live under Sharia law.

And those kinds of headlines have helped galvanize grass-
roots opposition to the mega-mosque project.

Councilor Craig, who lives in a city with 300 mosques
and 500 madrassahs, suggests that Britain not allow any
more mosques until Muslims allow churches in Saudi Arabia.

Craig said, 'Why should the Saudis pay for a mosque in
the UK when there is not one single church, temple,
goodwara, synagogue in Saudi at all?'

The spokesman for Tablighi Jamaat, Abdul Khalique, refused
an interview request by CBN News. But he told the British
press that the mega mosque '.will be something never seen
before in this country. It is a mosque for the future, as
part of the British landscape.'

If the mega-mosque is built, you can be sure of one thing:
it will be the symbol for the incredible growth of Islam in
Britain and in Western Europe.

4. ISLAM THREATENS CHURCH-STATE SEPARATION

We fought one civil war, and endured centuries of Catholic
-Protestant conflict, to establish freedom of religion in
this country, but Islam threatens to undo all that, by
destroying the basic idea of religion being a person’s
private business.

http://www.speroforum.com/site/article.asp?idCategory=33&idsub=124&id=8039&t=Islam+challenges+European+view+of+private+religion

The growth of Islam in Europe is challenging deeply-held
notions that faith is a private matter which should be
banished from public life, a prominent sociologist of religion
has told a gathering of European Christian leaders.

‘We ignore the presence of Islam at our peril,’ Professor
Grace Davie of the University of Exeter in Britain told
leaders from Europe's main Christian traditions at a 15-18
February meeting in Wittenberg in Germany. ‘This is a
catalyst for a much more profound change in the religious
landscape of Europe.’

Recent controversies such as those about the wearing of
the Muslim headscarf by school students in France, or the
publication of cartoons depicting the Prophet Muhammad in
Danish newspapers, were cases in point, noted Davie,
professor of sociology at Exeter university and director
of its centre for European studies.

‘The presence of Islam is a catalyst that has reopened
issues that Europeans thought were closed,’ Davie said
on 16 February. ‘You cannot privatise Islam. We have seen
that.’ But she said Christian churches had a major task in
helping to find ways to deal with such public expression
of religion.

Davie was presenting the results of recent research* on
the place of religion in Europe, in which she wrote about
the controversy over the cartoons: ‘The lack of comprehension
on both sides of this affair, together with an unwillingness to
compromise, led alarmingly fast to dangerous confrontations,
both in Europe and beyond.’

The notion that religion should be banished from public life
- and particularly from the state and from the education
system - was widespread in Europe, Davie noted. But in part
due to the presence of Islam, religion was increasingly
likely to penetrate the public sphere in Europe, a tendency
being encouraged by the ever more obvious presence of
religion in the modern global order.

However, this was ‘probably more of a problem for the
secular elite than the Christian churches’, Davie suggested
in her comments in Wittenberg. She said, ‘We need to grasp
how to deal with religion in the political sphere and here
Christian churches have a huge contribution to make.’

The Wittenberg meeting is being organized by the Council
of European (Roman Catholic) Bishops' Conferences (CCEE)
and the Conference of European Churches (CEC), which groups
most Anglican, Protestant and Orthodox churches in Europe.

It is one of a series of events that will culminate in
September in the Romanian city of Sibiu at the Third
European Ecumenical Assembly, which will gather several
thousand people from Europe's main Christian traditions.

Exceptional Case?’, in The Hedgehog Review, Spring/Summer

5. MUSLIMS FORCING DISCRIMINATION AGAINST 'INFIDELS' IN UK

http://www.bloggernews.net/14627

I wonder how long and how hard it was for the UK to
outlaw institutional discrimination in their country.
It took our country a civil war and 100 years of moral
indignation that eventually lead to amendments to our
Constitution and the Civil Rights Act of the 1960s.
Now in service to the rule of multiculturalism, the UK
seems it’s perfectly legal to give one sector of their
society the power to discriminate against others.

I would be correct in assuming that 50 years ago, if
their was a rule against white people swimming with black
people, the British citizens would rise up and protest
en mass accusing that government run entity of
discrimination and bigotry.

Well, times have change sin the UK and discrimination
is the order of the day. In this case – non-Muslims
swimming with Muslims. The Daily Mail reports:

When Lee Williams saw a parent-and-toddler session
advertised at his local pool, he thought it was the
perfect chance to teach his young daughter to swim.

Arriving at the leisure centre already in her swimming
costume, two-year-old Darby was desperate to get into
the water. But she was left in tears when staff said
they were not allowed in the pool because the session
was for Muslim women and their children only.

But this not the first incident of Muslim discrimination
in the UK.

The incident is the latest in a series of rows between
local authorities and the public over swimming lessons
for ethnic minority groups.

In December last year, Croydon Council in South London
came under fire for running Muslim-only sessions at one
of its leisure centres. Non-Muslim members of Thornton
Heath leisure centre were angry that they could not
swim during the Muslim- only sessions on Saturdays and
Sundays unless they obeyed the strict dress code.

For men, this involved wearing shorts which kept the
navel hidden and were extended below the knee, while
women bathers had to wear a swimming costume which
covered their body from the neck down to the ankle.
Similarly, Wolverhampton Council and South Lanarkshire
local authority have also been criticised for operating
women- only swimming for Muslims.

This is not multicultural accomodation. What we have
here is one of the non-violent forms of jihad – in
this case institutional jihad - working towards the
establishment of Shariah law in non-Muslim lands and
they’re unaware of their willing decent into dhimmitude.

6. BBC A PROPAGANDA TOOL FOR ISLAMIST REGIME IN SOMALIA

Somalia may seem like an obscure problem, but jihad is a
global struggle, and the BBC is disturbingly often on the
wrong side of it, all over the world.

http://www.americanthinker.com/blog/2007/02/somalis_charge_that_bbc_a_tool.html

A group of 260 Britons of Somali origin has submitted
aletter to the chairman of the BBC's board of governors,
chargingthat the BBC's Somali service has become a ‘tool
of propaganda’of the beseiged Islamist regime in Somalia.
Here is an excerpt from their letter, as picked up by
the websites Ummah News Links and SomaliNet.

'...the people in charge of the Somali Service are neither
being impartial, diverse in opinion nor fair in reporting
the reality in Somalia. On the contrary, they appear to
be taking sides and acting as tools of propaganda for
the Islamic Courts Union.

'In our opinion, a group of Islamic Courts Union
Supporters within the BBC Somali Service are selectively
choosing interviewees to express the opinion of the group
that the Islamic Courts Union are the chosen liberators of
the Somali people. Thereby using the good offices of the
BBC to campaign for the newly emerged Taliban Style Forces.
We know these Forces as the New Somali Warlords who have
replaced the previous, now ousted Somali Warlords. The
people in charge of the BBC Somali Service is giving the
activists of the Islamic Courts Union a platform as a means
of propaganda for the purpose of poisoning, brain-washing and
recruiting young innocent Somali-Britons and other youth
Muslims in Britain, Somalia, and The East African Region,
and indeed World-wide.

'As you know, the ousted Somali Warlords killed hundreds of
thousands of innocent civilian Somalis. Dismantled our
country's physical infrastructure and social fabric, and
took Somalia back to the Stone Age. Their activities were
then confined in the Somali Territory. But now these Islamic
Courts, the New Warlords, are a global threat, fanatic madmen,
extremists and fundamentalists who want and plan to wage war
on everyone, every religion & faith, including Islam.
They have declared JIHAD without understanding what JIHAD is.
They are only using Religion as a means to achieve their goals
through the implementation of far more deadly and dangerous
hidden agenda.

I enclose a DVD Video demonstrating the Islamic Courts Union's
ideology and actions since they seized power in Mogadishu and
Southern Somalia Regions.

What has happened to the Journalism Ethics of the BBC Somali
Service? What has happened to the trusted and respected core
values of News Broadcasting that has always distinguished the
BBC from all the other Broadcasting Media? Are we to understand
that the ethics of the BBC Somali Service are now the accepted
ethics of the BBC.

Good New Friday - More bits from Iraq that the BBC missed.

FORWARD OPERATING BASE SALERNO, Afghanistan – Seven U.S. Soldiers were wounded Tuesday, when a suicide bomber detonated himself during the opening ceremony of a new emergency section of the Khost City Hospital in the city of Khowst, Khost Province.

As the ceremony was about to begin, the bomber, dressed as a medical professional was stopped by Afghan National Police inside the compound. As he was being questioned he took off running towards the ceremony.

As ANP forces chased the suspect, Coalition forces verbally instructed him to stop. When he did not, they engaged with small arms fire, hitting the bomber several times. A U.S. Soldier wrestled him to the ground, restraining him long enough to allow the crowd of people to move safely away. He was able to break free from the bomber prior to the explosion. He sustained only minor injuries from the blast.

**That guy had balls of steel, one soldier like him is worth a million looney moonbat lefties.

IA, CF units clear Jabouri Peninsula of terrorists
Multi-National Division – North PAO

BALAD, Iraq
– Soldiers from the 3rd Combined Arms Battalion, 8th Cavalry Regiment, 1st Cavalry Division, and Iraqi army soldiers completed clearing operations on the Jabouri Peninsula.

The Jabouri Peninsula lies on the north side of the Tigris River and is 10 miles east of Balad. In October 2006, Sunni insurgents on the peninsula kidnapped and killed 14 Shia day laborers, which ignited sectarian violence in Balad from Oct. 14 to Oct. 18. More than 80 innocent civilians lost their lives.

This operation targeted high-value individuals, training areas and terrorist safe havens in an effort to restore and sustain peace in the peninsula and surrounding areas.
During the operation, 14 insurgents were killed, 23 were detained and multiple weapons caches were found. The caches included rockets, mortars, anti-personnel mines, hand grenades, various small arms and associated ammunition.

The 14 insurgents were killed emplacing roadside bombs.

Soldiers from the 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division, in Salah ad Din Province have also established robust checkpoints, which are manned by the Iraqi police and army, along the provincial boundary with Baghdad.
The checkpoints were created to stem the flow of insurgents fleeing from Baghdad to find refuge on the Jabouri Peninsula and other areas in Salah ad Din and to prevent other fighters from entering Baghdad from the north.

“Although we believe some of the senior insurgents escaped from the peninsula before we could detain them, the Jabouri Peninsula is secure,” said Lt. Col. Kevin Dunlop, commander of the 3rd Combat Arms Battalion, 8th Cavalry Regiment, 1st Cavalry Regiment.

“Along with the IA, we will maintain a strong presence in this area and deny any insurgent or terrorist group from using this area as a safe haven,” said Dunlop

During operations in Ramadi, Coalition Forces targeted terrorists with ties to al-Qaeda’s senior leaders. The raids netted a suspected leader of improvised explosive devices and sniper cell networks in the Ramadi area. Seven others suspects were detained, including three believed to have close ties to senior al-Qaeda leaders and a foreign fighter facilitation network.

Coalition Forces also detained 11 suspected terrorists including an alleged senior level vehicle-borne improvised explosive device cell leader in the Baghdad area. Intelligence reports indicate one of the suspected terrorists is involved in anti-Coalition Force activities, including the procurement of weapons and supporting foreign fighters.

The suspected senior-level VBIED cell leader was detained with two of his associates in a Baghdad hospital. The hospital administration was very helpful during the operation and the detention occurred without incident or damage to the facility.

In Karabilah, two suspects were detained with alleged ties to a foreign fighter facilitation network.

In addition, Coalition Forces found eight women and 23 children inside the building. Ground forces confirmed that none of the civilians were injured during the operation.

Another suspect with ties to al-Qaeda in Iraq was detained in Baquba.

This is another example of foreign terrorist facilitators putting women and children in harms way by hiding and operating among them.

Coalition Forces are making great strides to successfully disrupt foreign fighter activities around Iraq.

Coalition Forces capture insurgent leader

Multi-National Corps – Iraq PAO

BAGHDAD –
Coalition Forces captured a suspected insurgent leader during early-morning operations Feb. 17 in the Adhamiyah district of Baghdad. The suspect is reported to be a leader within an improvised explosive device and car-bomb network believed responsible for planning and conducting car-bomb attacks against Iraqi civilians and Iraqi Security Forces in the Baghdad area. He is implicated in several bomb attacks that are responsible for inciting sectarian violence in northern Baghdad.

Credible intelligence indicated the suspect was using an area hospital as a safe haven to avoid capture during ongoing security operations. Coalition Forces established security around the Al Numan Hospital and entered the hospital. Coalition Forces immediately met and coordinated with hospital staff to facilitate the search and quickly detained the suspect. Hospital staff provided information on two other persons staying overnight, but who were not listed as patients. Coalition Forces detained these individuals, believed to be associates of the insurgent leader, in a room next to where the insurgent leader was staying.

Coalition Forces worked closely with hospital staff to minimize time spent in the facility and their aid was crucial in the quick identification and detainment of the suspected insurgents.

Coalition Forces operations caused no damage and minimal disturbance to patients.

BAGHDAD – Twenty-nine Multi-National Division Soldiers were injured when insurgents attacked a combat outpost in Tarmiyah Feb. 19. An initial release on Feb. 19 announced that 17 troops had been wounded and two killed in the attack.

The U.S. Soldiers defending the outpost were able to maintain security of the compound, evacuate the wounded and elements of the unit successfully detained seven suspected insurgents in the wake of the attack.

Of the 29 Soldiers wounded in action, 24 suffered minor injuries and have returned to duty. Five others suffered more serious injuries and are receiving medical treatment for their wounds.

The initial release characterized the attack on the outpost, north of Baghdad, as a coordinated attack, due to the deliberate nature of the operation by insurgents and their use of several weapons systems against the outpost. During the attack, insurgents targeted U.S. troops with small arms fire, rocket-propelled grenades and a single vehicle-borne explosive device.

The Tarmiyah combat outpost was defended solely by American troops. Iraqi
police left the site in December, relocating the district police headquarters to nearby

HIT, Iraq
– Nearly 500 Iraqi Police from Hit recently conducted Operation Shurta Nasir (Police Victory) meant to clear the town of terrorists and identify a new location for new police stations. The operation was supported by a combined force of 1,000 Iraqi Army and Coalition Force soldiers.

This was the first large scale Iraqi police planned and led operation in western Iraq this year and included nearly 100 recent graduates from the Jordanian International Police Training Academy. Elements from 1st Battalion, 2nd Brigade, 7th Iraqi Army Division and Task Force 2-7 cordoned off the area to assist the police as they conducted their clearing operations.

The operation comes within a week of 2nd Battalion, 7th Mechanized Infantry, also known as Task Force 2-7, taking over jurisdiction of the Hit area as part of their third Operation Iraqi Freedom deployment.

The operation in this city of roughly 100,000 inhabitants included raids, targeted searches and clearing operations, netting 13 known terrorists and one large cache. It is believed that a number of terrorists went into hiding once the operation began.

With the assistance of Police Transition Teams, the Iraqi Police also began construction of two new police stations to meet the demands of the growing department.

Regimental Combat Team-2 is responsible for training, mentoring and operating alongside Iraqi security forces to assist them in assuming responsibility for their own security.

MUQDADIYA, Iraq
– During a combined operation, Iraqi army soldiers and their Coalition Force counterparts, targeted individuals in a cell responsible for creating and planting improvised explosive devices and other terrorist activity in Balour, Iraq, Tuesday.

The cordon and search operation led the forces from 3rd Brigade, 5th Iraqi army, and 6-9 Armored Reconnaissance Squadron, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division, to detain seven suspected terrorists, one of whom is suspected of placing an IED at a cell phone shop in November 2006 which killed 12 people.

The lack of enemy contact was a clear indicator that the Iraqi and Coalition security forces have successfully disrupted the terrorists’ ability to operate throughout the area.

“The terrorists that work in this area are seeing the improvements taking place in the Iraqi Security Forces and are unwilling to attack them head on. Additionally, the people of the area are beginning to understand that by supporting the terrorists they are preventing growth,” said Col. David W. Sutherland, commander of 3-1 Cav. and senior U.S. Army officer in Diyala province.

“The violence perpetrated by the terrorists is recognized by the population as disrupting their lifestyle by preventing services, construction, and economic growth. The local population is sick of it and is providing more support to the government of Diyala and the [ISF],” Sutherland said.
