New Labour: Keeping the streets safe.

First up we have this little gem that shows that ‘28 gun crimes committed in UK every day’

Lets not forget that our Home Sec. has dug up the tired old statement that the streets are now safer under New Labour than they were under the Tories.

Not that that matters much if you end up being shot in New Labour's "Cool Britannia", after all you will have the satisfaction of knowing that you would have been more likely to be hurt over ten years before under the baby eating Tories..

Oh and of course our New Labour has failed completely to tackle the root causes of Islamic Terror, and we have yet another case of some hard line moslem engaging in "anti-Islamic activity" as the government now call it.

An Islamic extremist hatched a terrorist plot to kidnap a British Muslim soldier enjoying a night out and behead him 'like a pig' in a lock-up garage, a court heard today.
Parviz Khan, 37, who has pleaded guilty to charges connected to the plan, then intended to release footage of the killing on the internet, a jury at Leicester Crown Court was told.

Even with many many cases of hardline anti-Islamic activity as New Labour call it these days, rather than good old fashioned terrorism they still leave our shores open to the hoards of unwashed, uncivilized barbarians from the third world.

AN “overwhelming majority” of Europeans believe immigration from Islamic countries is a threat to their traditional way of life, a survey revealed last night. The poll, carried out across 21 countries, found “widespread anti-immigration sentiment”, but warned Europe’s Muslim population will treble in the next 17 years.

Meanwhile New Labour picks up the fiddle and attempts to copy Nero, allowing aid and support to those who want us dead:

Conservative leader David Cameron today called for a ban on "preachers of hate" entering the United Kingdom.
Mr Cameron accused Prime Minister Gordon Brown of dithering over the case of Islamist cleric Yusuf al-Qaradawi, following press reports that he is to be granted permission to come to London for medical treatment.
The Tory leader branded Mr al-Qaradawi - and the head of Hezbollah's TV station Ibrahim Moussawi, who recently spoke in Manchester - "dangerous and divisive" and said they should not be allowed in the country. And he called for a complete ban on Islamist political movements Hizb-ut-Tahrir and Hezbollah.

Anyway back to New Labour unable to keep order within our own nation we have another sign on how they have failed, how under the socialist money for nothing, know my rights, hug a criminal society they have created a Britain where this can happen:

A father of three was murdered after going to a neighbour's house to retrieve his son's football.
David Martin was allegedly stabbed with a samurai sword and a knife then bludgeoned round the head with a golf club.
His wife and two youngest children watched in horror as an argument broke out and Mr Martin collapsed in agony.

Yet what do the government do? Well they have far more important things to tackle than Moslem terrorism, sorry "anti-Islamic activity" as they rebranded it, yep it would appear that even our coinage in our pockets needs a pc re-write.

Ever since she appeared on a farthing in the reign of Charles II more than 300 years ago, the image of Britannia sitting on her rock wearing her Greek helmet and flowing classical robes, holding her trident with a lion at her feet has made a continuous appearance on British coins.
But now the Royal Mint has confirmed that, before he left the Treasury for Number 10, Gordon Brown personally approved a new set of coins from which she has been entirely removed.

How profoundly depressing. No other name is more redolent of our country. No symbol, other than the Union Flag, better sums up these islands.

Yet we are told that under the most significant overhaul of coinage since decimalisation, she is to be replaced with a representation of modern Britain, whatever that may be.

**Maybe it will be replaced with a moslem beheading a UK soldier? Oh and unelected PM Gordon "cyclops" Brown will be worrying more over saving the arse of another of his ministers accused of putting his hand in the proverbial cookie jar:

Gordon Brown was forced to defend another Cabinet Minister over donations yesterday as watchdogs cast doubt over a minister's explanation of events.
The Prime Minister insisted Health Secretary Alan Johnson's job was safe for now in the wake of Peter Hain's resignation from the Cabinet last week.
But Mr Brown left a question mark over his future by saying it was up to the Electoral Commission to decide whether Mr Johnson had behaved properly over a donation to his deputy leadership campaign.

Of course its not all the governments fault, although they are behind a lot of it. The welfare system they have created has bred the feral yobs, removed social responsibility and brought in a "it's not my fault" culture:

The mother of a teenage yob jailed for the brutal beating of an elderly man has written a letter to her local paper blaming the authorities for her son's behaviour.
The woman's 17-year-old son, who cannot be named for legal reasons, Was sentenced to five years in prison and deemed a danger to the public by a Manchester judge last month.
The teenager, who had 18 previous convictions, defied an Asbo to attack 75-year-old Kenneth Hamer as he walked his dog through a park in Sale, Greater Manchester last May.

**But wait its not his fault okay? Batter some OAP and you can always blame society.

Following the 17-year-old's sentencing, his mother hit back at critics that her parenting skills were to blame for her son's bad behaviour in a letter to Sale and Altrincham Messenger newspaper.
She claims the council's care and education system failed her son and his Asperger's Syndrome condition contributed to his criminal actions.

**No that is a crock of shit, a welfare system designed to feel sympathy for syndromes, excuses and whining is the root cause. Along with a total lack of responsibility on the part of the feral youth himself and his bitch of a mother who whelped this feral animal...

Don't defy the state: Nick Hogan fined over smoking ban.

New Labour law enforced no matter the cost even if no one complains, shame they fail to keep the streets safe, unless the Home Sec. pop's out for a kebab that is...

The first publican to be convicted after challenging the smoking ban is today facing a £10,000 legal bill.
Nick Hogan, 40, was taken to court after repeatedly flouting rules by letting customers light up in his pubs in Bolton, Greater Manchester.
He pleaded not guilty, claiming he had "advised" customers about the ban and left them to decide whether to act on it.
But in the first conviction of its kind a district judge condemned Hogan for "flagrant breaches" of the law. Another landlord, from Blackpool, defied the smoking ban but last year admitted the charges in court. A Gloucestershire landlord who pleaded not guilty to defying the ban was acquitted.

PETER HAIN IS A LYING CUNT

That is all...
Well aside from Guido:..here

January 29, 2007 Guido threw Hain's leadership campaign into disarray by revealing his campaign strategy and supporters. It led to chaos in Hain4Labour. The leak meant that nobody in the campaign trusted anybody.

In May 2007 Guido revealed the Hain4Labour campaign budget and that sleazy lobbyist Steve Morgan was arranging the financing.

On the morning of December 3, 2007 Guido chased down an undeclared donor and talked to Hain's Special Adviser Joe Carberry to ask about missing undeclared donations. That afternoon Hain went to see the Electoral Commission.

On January 8 this year Guido revealed the links between campaign donors and endorsements from Hain.

Get the full background to the story:

EU Taxes:

They(the EU) have taken over and we here in the UK, as well as the rest of Europe will be paying.

This will be happening, no ifs and no buts, the fuckers have us all signed up in the Euro Constitution and now they own us we shall all be made to pay.

Of course when the targets fail - and as the EU is running the show it will run over cost, be poorly budgeted and be a total clusterfuck from day one - we will be squeezed again at a later date for more and more of our money.

This is not as Barroso claims a green economy, it is an excuse to tax the people of the EU under the excuse of being green.

European Commission President Jose Manuel Barroso has announced "historic" plans to make Europe "the first economy for the low-carbon age".

He said Europeans wanted "a vision and a plan of action" against climate change and the measures would cost 3 euros (£2.10) a week for every citizen.

The aim would be a 20% cut in the EU's greenhouse gas emissions by 2020, which could rise to 30% with a global deal.

He told the European Parliament there was a cost, "but it was manageable".

**So lets see that works out at some (and using EU figures quoted above) £2.10 a week for each and every tax payer in the EU. Thats £109.20 a year each, we have to pay the EU.

Now lets not forget that this is an organization riddled with corruption from top to bottom, from the thieving staff in its many offices, through to massive farm bungs and back handers to industry lobbyists, oh and lets not forget they have not had the accounts signed off in 13 years!

On top of that our PM, the monovisoned Mr Brown has given away our rebate to the EU, yet still they want more of our money.

Council Sleaze: Abdul Loyes

A Wokingham borough Conservative councillor, Abdul Loyes has been accused of trying to defraud and compromise an Early businessman and his company.

The complaint from Rudolph Hodgman claimed that Councillor Loyes tried to involve his firm, called On Site Training Assessment and Certification in illegal immigration and human trafficking and falsely obtained loans using his name. Easy enough stuff to investigate I would have thought.

However the standards committee for Wokingham Borough Council made the following statement after recieving the complaint:
“With regards the Code of Conduct, it is noted from the information provided that Cllr Loyes’ alleged conduct appears to have occurred in his private capacity and not while he was acting in an official capacity as a member of the authority.”

“The Standards Board for England has decided that the allegation should not be referred to an ethical standards officer for investigation.”
Now I would have though an allegation of people smuggling worthy of investigation and not just by the Standards Board. But these are strange times we live in. I suspect we will be reading more as Mr Hodgman is standing by his claims.

A tragic loss: Suicide bomber kills himself.

News.com.au

A WOULD-be suicide bomber fell down a flight of stairs and blew himself up as he headed out for an attack in Afghanistan, police say.

It was the second such incident in two days, with another man killing himself and three others on Tuesday when his bomb-filled waistcoat exploded as he was putting it on in the southern town of Lashkar Gah.

Yesterday's blast was in a busy market area of the eastern town of Khost, a deputy provincial police chief said.

The would-be attacker tripped as he was leaving a building apparently to target an opening ceremony for a mosque that was expected to be attended by Afghan and international military officials, said Sakhi Mir.

"Coming down the stairs, he fell down and exploded. Two civilian women and a man were wounded,'' Mir said.

How to catch a bus: The idiot's guide to catching a bus by Stagecoach.

If ever there was a reason that shows that there are far to many fucking people employed in non jobs, pushing paperclips around and having to dream up ever more ways to justify their pay-check each month then this is it. The only thing that this has going to for it is that it was a private company, rather than the nanny state using our money. And so The idiot's guide to catching a bus is here.

According to Stagecoach, which has created the step-by-step manual, a large proportion of Britain’s population are now so used to traveling by car that they have become scared of buses.

In order to encourage use of public transport, the firm has come up with the “Using the Bus” guide which sets out the most basic information possible.

The guide begins reassuringly with: “Using the bus could not be easier.”

It goes on to warn that passengers should “first of all decide on what bus you need” and once the right bus has been spotted, with the “number and destination on the front”, one should then “signal for the driver to stop.”

Those standing while seats are available are told: “Please feel free to use the fold-down seats.”

The guide even goes as far as setting out procedures for disembarking and says: “When you want to get off, press the bell once. For your safety we recommend you remain seated until the bus has arrived at the stop.”

The guide continues: “Wait until the bus is stopped and the doors are fully opened and step on board.”

Jesus-H-fucking-Christ, what the hell is Stagecoach thinking? If anyone is that stupid that they need this, then they are most likely to be ending up in the Darwin Awards.

Steven Stewart, from Stagecoach, said: “If we look back 30 or 40 years, catching a bus was part of our daily routine from when we were children.

“Our guide is not designed to be patronising, it’s just answering questions that cause fear and uncertainty when people are thinking of getting a bus.”

Well yes it is patronizing, we get enough of that sort of bullshit off the state without private companies thinking that they need to nanny us as well. What I would advise Stagecoach if they are that concerned about customers is to employ a few more cleaners to tidy up their buses. I find public transport, and Stagecoach buses in particular to be crowded, smelly, dirty and something that I avoid unless I really have to use it.

New Labour agency Becta, bans 3 little pigs.

Oh you have to love cultural sensitivity, when you start down that road who knows where it will end. No matter how sensitive and pc the state tries to be there will always be some one or some group that finds something to take offense at.

So naturally the only thing the government and its agencies can do is ban and censor as much as possible to cover themselves from offending said groups.

So naturally this story from the Mail about the three pigs comes as no surprise, although I can't really see lots of builders downing tools in protest over a child's CD-rom. A story based on The Three Little Pigs has been rejected by a Government-backed awards event because it might offend Muslims... and builders.

The digital book, retelling the classic children's tale, was criticised by judges who said "the use of pigs raises cultural issues".

They also claimed the award-winning CD-rom, entitled The Three Little Cowboy Builders, might "alienate parts of the workforce (building trade)".

The "virtual" book is designed for use on computers and interactive whiteboards and aimed at primary school children.

Its publishers, Shoo-Fly, insist there is nothing offensive in it.

But judges for the annual BETT awards, which recognise excellence in educational technology, claimed they had "concerns about the Asian community" and insisted "the use of pigs raises cultural issues".

As a result, they "could not recommend this product to the Muslim community".

Anne Curtis, of Newcastle-based Shoo Fly, said the idea that including pigs in a story could be interpreted as racism was a "slap in the face" and described the criticism as "inflammatory".

Mrs Curtis said the product was "tongue in cheek" and took a humorous look at the building trade, with an attack on cowboy builders.

The awards are run by Becta, the Government's educational technology agency, Emap Education and the British Educational Suppliers Association.

They said: "This failed to reach the required standard across a number of criteria... In particular, the product was not sufficiently convincing on curriculum and innovation grounds to be shortlisted."

**To be fair a huge pile of patronizing bullshit from Becta, they seem to think that the mere sight of a pig will be enough to set big burly builders crying and the moslems off on a march through London baying for blood.

Not that the moslem community would ever take offense at something like a cartoon character.

Bushra Noah - A chancer on the make.

Busha Noah who is suing a hairdresser who turned her down for a job because she insisted on wearing her headscarf at work.

Despite the fact Miss Noah had been rejected for 25 different hairdressing jobs after interviews, she is suing Miss Desrosiers for more than £15,000 for injury to her feelings plus an unspecified sum for lost earnings.

Well you got to love that injured feelings bullshit. Tell someone that they have to do something and the old "injured feelings" come out and its lawyers and lots of easy money for chancers. In this case its removing a headscarf at work:

"She said, 'You really should have told me that you wear a headscarf'. She asked if I wore it all the time and I said, 'Yes'. She asked if I would take it off for work and I said, 'No'.

"Wearing a headscarf is very important in my religion and is non-negotiable. It is about showing your modest side."

Well this is where it gets better, not for the salon owner, or common sense. Hell no, after all this is New Labour's "Cool Britannia", where spivs, chancers, claim merchants, shysters and other assorted low lives can get what they want at the drop of a lawyers letter.

Yes Ms Noah has just increased her claim for compensation against Sarah Desrosiers, from £15,000 to £35,000.

Why the leap? Because Ms Desrosiers made the story public. You see blackmail, even legal(ish) blackmail done via the lawyers over offended feelings is fine, but should you dare to complain about it, well that opens up a new opportunity for some easy money. Ms Noah claims that she has received hate mail as a result of the the publicity.

Anyone a bit short of cash? Well the answers easy just find some petty point claim that your feelings have been injured an sue them for 15K, then if they have the nerve to complain about it up the amount you are suing them for to 35K.

I would most likely guess that the "hate mail" that she has received is someone putting her straight on being a spiv, a chancer and someone playing the "hurt feeling" race card.

David BLunkett - Road Rage.

From David Blunkett's piss poor column in The Sun:

I CAME face to face with road rage the other day – and it was not a pretty sight.

As I got into a car, a driver pulled round a corner and started effing and blinding that we were in his way.

But it was obvious we were just about to move.

So why? Why are people so quick to anger and violence?

**Couple of questions here regarding former Home Sec. and now scribbler for The Sun. Was David Blunkett driving? If so I think the question about why people are quick to anger and violence has been answered. After all if I saw a blind former Home Sec behind the wheel of a motor car I would be swearing and also praying!

Also how did he know that the driver had pulled around the corner, as he is blind.

More data vanishes. Court data CDs lost in post

Four CDs containing personal details from court cases have gone missing in the post, the government has admitted.

The Ministry of Justice launched an investigation when the data disappeared after being sent by recorded delivery.

A spokeswoman refused to say whether the discs contained details of at least 55 defendants and other restricted data, as reported in the Daily Mail.

It follows a series of incidents of missing data the biggest being the loss of 25m people's child benefit details.

According to the Daily Mail, the four CDs were posted on 15 December and potentially included the names and addresses of alleged victims and witnesses.

**Well so much for us all forgetting the data loss as Gordon Brown said we would. Another day another New Labour cock up.

New Labour policing. Frank Gibson 82 guilty of attacking to fit youg policemen.

Here we see Frank Gibson, who at age 82 walks with a stick.

When Frank Gibson saw flashing blue lights in his mirror as he drove home from midnight mass on Christmas Eve, naturally he pulled over to let the police pass.

He was driving safely, listening to carols on Classic FM, and the only alcohol that had passed his lips was a drop of communion wine.

So the 82-year-old was rather taken aback when it became clear it was he the police were chasing.

The next thing he knew, two burly officers had pulled him out of his Rover, clapped him in handcuffs and bundled him into the back of their car.

Yesterday Mr Gibson's misery was complete after magistrates decided it was he who was guilty of assaulting the two fit young officers. Yep, Mr Gibson who was held by Her Majesty's finest for 5 hours on Christmas Day was found guilty of assaulting two fit young policemen.

Mr Gibson's who suffers from arthritis was accused by PC Steven Cole of twisting his thumb so hard during the arrest it made him "yelp"

God help PC Cole should he ever run into a fit young criminal is all I can say.

But it gets better, by better I mean it sounds like a complete crock of shit and two PC's stitching up an old man, anyway according to PC Thomas McGregor, he "claimed" that 82 year old Mr Gibson had shoved him in the chest.

But fear not British justice was at hand to deal with this octigenarian menace of fit young police men, Mr Gibson was ordered to pay £910 costs and given a six-month conditional discharge for the assaults.

He had been stopped on suspicion of drink-driving. But this charge was dropped after a breath test showed he had no alcohol in his blood.

Mr Gibson, who lives in Gravesend, won an OBE for services to the community and is the governor of two schools and a trustee on two charities.

He said he could not comment yesterday as he plans to appeal.

But a friend, Kent County Councillor Sarah Hohler, said: "Surely the police have got better things to do than to punish an 82-year-old man. I can't believe it, we are shocked, we really are."

Another friend, headmaster Peter Read, said: "It's a devastating blow. I don't know whether he has got the strength to go through an appeal.

"He spent most of last year in a wheelchair."

Mr Gibson said that he had been driving "carefully" within the speed limit, although he may have driven into the middle of the road to avoid parked cars on a narrow street.

Mr Gibson said after he was stopped near his home, an officer yanked open his door, pulled him out and wrestled him to the ground. He was then handcuffed and bundled into a police car.

He told the court he had been too weak to assault anyone.

But the chairman of the bench, Mrs Angela Howe, and her two fellow justices did not accept his version of events.

She said that while trying to get back to his car Mr Gibson had shoved PC McGregor and twisted PC Cole's thumb.

She added that Mr Gibson had "allowed his temper to get the better of him".

On hearing he had been found guilty, Mr Gibson slumped forward and whispered, "I can't believe it."

An here are the two "brave" and fit young policemen who's lives were endangered by an 82 year old man who walks with a stick and who suffers from arthritis. PC Cole on the left was the brave little soldier who needed a hug afterwards off the Duty Sargent at the station. According to his account the poor lambs thumb was twisted making him yelp.

On the right we have PC McGregor, who was according to his account viciously pushed in the chest by Mr Gibson and who no doubt had a good cry and his tears wiped away by a WPC afterwards in the station.

Wankers the pair of them, a total fucking disgrace to the fine uniform that they wear.

National Salt Week: Nanny state meddling.

Council bosses have come up with a hole new “nanny state” way of getting people to cut their salt intake.

In time for National Salt Awareness Week starting next Monday, 13 chip shops in one town have been given shakers with only five holes instead of the usual 17 or 18.

The six-week trial run is going ahead in Rochdale, which has the UK’s third-highest death rate from heart disease and strokes.

Councillor Wera Hobhouse claimed the new shakers would mean “everybody was a winner”.

She said: “They are healthier for customers, as too much salt increases blood pressure and the risk of developing heart disease or having a stroke. Also, chip shops, cafes, restaurants and pubs save money because less salt is wasted and their food tastes just as good or better.”

But MPs and campaigners last night attacked the council for using nanny state tactics. “This is the sort of nannying that really irritates Britons,” said David Davies, Tory MP for Monmouth. “Too much salt is bad for you, so why not educate people and let them make a free choice?”

The scheme took months of planning and cost thousands of pounds to set up and Matthew Elliott, chief executive of the TaxPayers’ Alliance, said: “This would be laughable if the money it wasted was not so sorely needed elsewhere.”

Anti-political correctness campaigner Philip Davies, the Conservative MP for Shipley, West Yorkshire, said: “All that will happen is chips will get cold in Rochdale as hungry folk try to get a decent amount of salt on to their supper.”

**Oh where to start, there are just so many points that need to be covered. First off is it really the states place to be running a "National Salt Awareness Week"? We all know that to much salt, or anything else is bad for us so why waste taxpayers money stating the bleeding obvious.

As for councils getting involved well that says several things, the first being that the council has far to many staff sitting about with very little to do and so they have to get involved in "projects" like this.

It also shows the way that people in power like the good councilor Wera Hobhouse (who I assumed was a Labour type but is in fact a Lib Dem and just as nannying as any Labour employee) have developed a taste for nannying the people after ten years of socialist rule. The disease comes from national government and councils are more than happy to pass on the waste.

Is spending thousands of pounds altering a salt shaker the best way to spend peoples hard earned money? If anything it shows a complete contempt for the taxpayers.

I would also assume that the good voters of Rochdale are a bit more concerned with their council tax being wasted on five hole salt cellars rather than the bins being emptied once a week and the schools being run properly, the sort of things that councils should stick to.

Maybe the good voters of Rochdale should kick her out on her ear come next election time...

Mind even if the money for this project came from national government that still does not make it excusable, same points apply about nannying, dictating, waste and having to many staff with far to little to do to fill their days.

Paul Flynn - mocking the problem of the homeless.

Labour MP Paul Flynn has attacked housing charity Shelter Cymru because he says it is ignoring the progress made in tackling housing problems.

Writing in his blog, the MP for Newport West said the charity operated "a fatwa against good news".

He said it had invited him and other MPs to a "sob-in" at Westminster and he published official figures suggesting homelessness in Wales had decreased.

Shelter Cymru said it was keen to work with MPs on homeless issues.

Dewi Knight from the charity added the tone of the letter sent to MPs inviting them to the Shelter Cymru reception in the House of Commons in February suggested that it would be far from the "sob-in" referred to by Mr Flynn.

In Mr Flynn's blog which was published on Tuesday, he also said many pressure groups were guilty of "bloated empire building" but pointed out that some were also well-managed and did marvellous work.

**Not really an issue of as proven liar and libel case loser Paul Flynn MP, states "empire building" but one of keeping the pressure on this amoral bunch of fucks that make up our MP's with regards an important social issue.

Of course Mr Flynn who on top of his wages cost the taxpayers £140,014, so one can easily see why he can not connect with those who have no roof over their head.

Maybe Paul Flynn should have voiced his concerns with Shelter Cymru in private with them, rather than spinning figures on the homeless. He should also look at the classification for being called homeless:

So I thought I would see what Shelter had to say, they define being homeless like this(Copied from the Shelter website):

You don't have to be sleeping on the streets to be classed as homeless. You might also be legally homeless if you are:

  • temporarily staying with friends or family
  • staying in a hostel or bed and breakfast
  • living in very overcrowded conditions
  • at risk of violence or abuse in your home
  • living in poor conditions that affect your health
  • living somewhere that you have no legal right to stay in (eg. a squat)
  • living somewhere that you can't afford to pay for without depriving yourself of basic essentials
  • forced to live apart from your family, or someone you would normally live with, because your accommodation isn't suitable.

If you ask the council for help, it will look into your situation to see if it has a legal responsibility to help you as a homeless person.

Not the first time this MP has"bashed the homeless" either, he has mocked soup kitchens as I covered before: Paul Flynn says stuff the homeless as they don't vote New Labour

Truly New Labour have become the party of immorality of the worst type.

More New Labour Scum: Councillor Laurence Williamson threatening to stuff a council highways chief "through the mincer"

**Another New Labour socialist brother shows his true colours.

A Labour councillor was suspended for a month after sending an e-mail threatening to stuff a council highways chief "through the mincer".

Councillor Laurence Williamson, 58, had got into a row with the engineer over funding for road closures when he sent the foul-mouthed email.

Mr Williamson, representative of Harper Green in Bolton for 29 years, had clashed with Mike Heather over proposals to close Broad Oak Road in Farnworth at the junction with Bradford Road.

Councillor Laurence Williamson
A man with anger issues.
The mail read: "I have opposed this from Day One. I made it clear over a week ago that the area forum is not funding this.

"Area forum monies are not for mainstream schemes you haven't the balls to deliver!

"I shall make a point of returning from holiday for the 9th in order to stuff you through the mincer."

After complaining to council standards chiefs in Bolton, Greater Manchester, Mr Heather said: "The message was quite unacceptable, using as it does disgraceful language and implied threats.

Mr Williamson was suspended for a month for breaching a code of conduct.

The father-of-two, was brought before an independent standard's committee, which ruled he had breached the councillor's code of conduct and suspended him for a month from February 1.

The committee found he had broken clauses which state councillors must treat others with respect, not bully them, and not do anything likely to compromise the impartiality of council staff.

After the ruling, Mr Williamson said: "I was very surprised at the suspension. I thought it was excessive. I don't think the standards board fully appreciated the circumstances. I found out about the report an hour before I was due to go on holiday.

**Poor darling, he should try working in the real world where a mail like that would result in someone being sacked. Something I hope the good voters take note of the next time this over paid violent little thug stands for public office.

Red Ken Livingstone - Socialist State

Since coming into office the so called mayor of London, Red Ken Livingstone has treated the population of London like second-class citizens, unless like the moslems they are useful for Ken's own ends.

New Labour were well aware of Ken and his links to this group and his other political view and yet they welcomed him back into the fold, after he had formerly been an "independent" and he gained his second term in office.

According to a report in The Times Online, allegations have been made by the mayor's Senior Advisor on Asian Issues, Atma Singh, that his most senior aides have been members of a Trotskyite faction that plotted to turn London into a “socialist city state”.

What is more that staff campaigned for Red Ken at a time when he was supposed to be electioneering and not calling him mayor of London, yet staff were encouraged/coerced to do political work for Red Ken.

The hidden lives of the mayor’s aides are revealed by Atma Singh, who until recently was the mayor’s senior adviser on Asian issues. Singh claims Simon Fletcher, Livingstone’s £100,000-a-year chief of staff, John Ross, the economic adviser, and Redmond O’Neill, the deputy chief of staff, as well as Mark Watts, the green adviser, and Jude Woodward, the culture adviser, were all members of Socialist Action.

Singh said: “Socialist Action believed themselves to be the inheritors of the Fourth International - an International Marxist Group seen as the true inheritors of Trotsky’s political vision. They believed that Britain needed a workers’ revolution.”

After the 2000 election, members of Socialist Action were rewarded with well-paid jobs in City Hall. Singh said: “The Socialist Action meetings continued while advisers were in office, until at least 2001 - that’s the last one I attended. Members discussed everything from politics in the Balkans to whether the congestion charge in London should be set at £6 or £5.”

But as well as debating routine policy issues, the aides dreamt of creating a socialist state. “They regularly returned to the theme of ‘bourgeois democratic revolution’: essentially, that London should be a city state and a beacon for socialism. They saw themselves as holders of political power in London.”

The London officials named by Singh have all refused to say whether they are still members of Socialist Action. One, Mark Watts, told Dispatches that to ask about his political affiliations was a witch-hunt.

A spokeswoman for the authority refused to comment on Socialist Action but said: “Atma Singh was removed from his job in the GLA for failure to discharge his duties, most seriously in failures to meet requests for assistance from the Metropolitan police antiterrorism unit in early 2005 and to contact the GLA during the terrorist attacks on London on 7 and 21 July. This person is an embittered ex-employee.”

Council tax being spent on spin.

New Labour with their love of spending money on PR, merchants of spin and innumerable advisor's, consultants, pen pushers and dubious accountants are the cause of this.

Councils have mealy copied what they see national government doing.

They see national government employing people to put their views across, cover up bad news, pump out press releases and they do the same.

Want lower council tax bills then insist that your councilors remove the PR, prune their ever expanding council papers, reduce their websites and get back to emptying bins, running schools and the things that councils used to do properly...

Council tax doubles in ten years thanks to heavy PR spending

Look at your Council Tax bill now. It is twice as much as 10 years ago.

And, during a time of subdued inflation, have you got twice as much in services from your council? The likelihood is that what you have got is a whole lot more 'spin'. According to the first in the TaxPayers' Alliance Council Spending Uncovered series, the average local authority spends almost £1m (£985,000) on publicity - double what it did 10 years ago. - Money Market UK

Good News From Iraq - Re the "New Vietnam..."

First off this little gem: Operations against al-Qaeda Iraq in 2007 resulted in the capture of 8,800 terrorists and 2,400 were killed.

Air strikes hit more than 40 targets in Arab Jabour
Multi-National Division – Center

FORWARD OPERATING BASE KALSU, Iraq – More than 40 targets were hit Jan. 10 after precision air strikes destroyed reported al-Qaeda safe havens in Arab Jabour. Thirty-eight bombs were dropped within the first 10 minutes, with a total tonnage of 40,000 pounds.

The precision air strikes supported Operation Phantom Phoenix, the overarching operation that includes Operation Marne Thunderbolt.

A joint operation between the Air Force and Soldiers of the 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division required extensive planning to prevent collateral damage and to deny the use of the area for attacks into Baghdad and against Coalition Forces.

Two B-1 Bombers and four F-16 fighter jets, directed bombs at three large target areas. Each bomber made two passes and the F-16s followed to complete the set. Coordination between the Army and Air Force was essential in making the operation a success.

Operation Marne Thunderbolt is an ongoing operation aimed at flushing out remaining al-Qaeda extremists operating in the southern Arab Jabour area, and to create conditions for improved security.

Soldiers from 2nd Brigade, 3rd Infantry Division will join Iraqi Security Forces and Concerned Local Citizens to continue these offensive operations to keep pressure on the enemy.

BAGHDAD, Iraq – Coalition forces detained 15 suspected terrorists today and Friday during operations targeting al Qaeda networks in central and northern Iraq.

In Baghdad today, Coalition forces captured a suspected terrorist reportedly associated with the facilitation of explosive materials, vehicles and suicide bombers for use in terrorist operations throughout the capital city. The individual is believed to be a direct contact of the suspect detained Jan. 10 for his role in the network and his association with foreign terrorist facilitators, and al-Qaeda in Iraq and Ansar al-Sunna leadership (see MNF-I press release A080111b, “Coalition targets al-Qaeda leadership, media networks; two killed, 11 detained,” dated Jan. 11, 2008).

Coalition forces find prison facility, weapons caches in Diyala; 15 detained

BAGHDAD, Iraq – Coalition forces detained 15 suspected terrorists during a multi-day operation Jan. 7 to 10 to disrupt al-Qaeda in Iraq networks in the Diyala River Valley.

Coalition forces conducted operations in the Sherween Village area targeting al-Qaeda in Iraq networks associated with media and foreign terrorist facilitation networks. Reports indicate the region has become a safe haven for terrorists due to continued pressure from Coalition and Iraqi forces pushing al-Qaeda networks out of central portions of the country and into the Diyala River Valley. Recent operations in the Diyala River Valley have uncovered a significant amount of weapons caches, as well as execution sites, and torture and detention facilities.

With the help of numerous Iraqi local citizens, Coalition forces discovered four weapons caches, a former al-Qaeda in Iraq prison and torture facility, and an improvised explosive device-making facility during the four-day operation. Local Iraqis confirmed the use of the prison facility by al-Qaeda in Iraq, but said it had not been used recently due to the presence of Coalition forces in the region. In addition, Coalition forces also destroyed four buildings that were found rigged with explosives and a river-crossing point that was being used to facilitate the movement of terrorists.

During the four-day operation, Coalition forces also uncovered and eliminated several IEDs on various roadways.

Fifteen suspected terrorists were detained over the four days for possession of weapons, explosive materials, and confessions to being involved in terrorist operations.

“We will continue to dismantle the terrorist networks that threaten the security and safety of all Iraqis,” said Navy Capt. Vic Beck, MNF-I spokesman. “We will not allow al-Qaeda in Iraq and other extremists to take back the hard fought gains that the Iraqi and Coalition forces have made.

BAGHDAD, Iraq – Coalition forces detained 14 suspected terrorists today and Monday during operations targeting al-Qaeda networks in central and northern Iraq.

Monday in Kirkuk, Coalition forces captured a suspected terrorist reportedly involved in the murder of a U.S. citizen and members of a personnel security detail for the Iraqi National Dialogue Council. The suspect is also believed to be an associate of an al-Qaeda in Iraq leader of the network in Kirkuk and involved in the Baghdad car bomb network. In addition to the wanted individual, Coalition forces detained three suspected terrorists on site.

During an operation in Baghdad today, Coalition forces captured another suspected terrorist who is an alleged associate of an improvised explosive device attack cell in Karkh. Reports indicate the individual is a former Iraqi intelligence officer and is associated with several of the suspected terrorists detained during an operation Dec. 25 for their ties to car bomb attacks (see MNF-I press release A071225a, "Coalition forces target terrorist facilitators, suicide bombers; 13 killed, 27 detained," dated Dec. 25, 2007).

West of Muqdadiyah this morning, Coalition forces conducted an operation targeting associates of the al-Qaeda in Iraq network in the northeast Diyala River Valley region. Coalition forces degrade al-Qaeda networks; three terrorists killed, four detained

BAGHDAD, Iraq – Coalition forces killed three terrorists and detained four suspects today during operations targeting al-Qaeda networks in central and northern Iraq.

During an operation west of Muqdadiyah, Coalition forces targeted a known al-Qaeda in Iraq meeting location for the network operating in the northeast Diyala River Valley region. As the ground force arrived in the target area, an armed terrorist engaged them from a building the rooftop. Responding in self-defense, Coalition forces engaged and killed him.

Continuing to clear the target area, the ground force entered one of the buildings and encountered two armed men. Coalition forces engaged the perceived hostile force, killing the terrorists. Inside the building, the ground force discovered a weapons cache which included several machine guns and magazines, grenades, a mortar and military style assault vests. Coalition forces assessed the building to be structurally unsafe and destroyed it, along with the weapons inside, to prevent further use for terrorist activities. Two suspected terrorists were also detained during the course of operations.

In Baghdad, Coalition forces captured a suspected terrorist who is reportedly an associate of the al-Qaeda in Iraq car bomb cell leader in Karkh. The cell leader allegedly was involved in the manufacture of a car bomb that was used in an attack in Baghdad Dec. 20 that resulted in two Iraqi civilians being killed. During the operation, the wanted individual identified himself to the ground force and was subsequently detained.

The al-Qaeda in Iraq network in the capital city, including Karkh, is operating in a degraded state following recent Coalition operations in the region. These operations resulted in the capture of a suspected key leader for the al-Qaeda in Iraq network south of Baghdad, who was detained Jan. 10, and several suspected Karkh network leaders, who were detained Dec. 7 for their alleged role in planning a spectacular suicide car bomb attack in the city.

During an operation farther north in Mosul, Coalition forces captured an alleged al-Qaeda in Iraq member believed to be associated with senior leaders of the terrorist network in the eastern part of the city. Several of the suspect’s associates reportedly have direct ties to the al-Qaeda in Iraq senior leader, Abu Ayyub al-Masri. The operation builds on several recent Coalition successes which have degraded the network in Mosul, to include operations Dec. 14 and Jan. 6, which resulted in the detention of several key senior leaders in the network.

“We will continue to find the terrorist networks that threaten the security and safety of the Iraqi people and take them apart,” said Navy Capt. Vic Beck, MNF-I spokesman. “We will not allow al-Qaeda in Iraq and other extremists to take back the hard fought gains Iraqi and Coalition forces have achieved.”

There they came under attack by small arms fire and hand grenades.

After an air weapons team engaged the house, MND-N Soldiers searched the building and recovered the bodies of three more extremists.

Al-Qaeda operations in northern Iraq disrupted; two killed, 17 detained

BAGHDAD, Iraq – Coalition forces killed two terrorists and detained 17 suspects today during operations targeting al-Qaeda networks in northern Iraq.

In Bi’aj, Coalition forces conducted an operation targeting an al-Qaeda in Iraq leader for the network in the western region of Mosul. Reports indicate the wanted individual is a direct associate of numerous terrorist leaders, to include the al-Qaeda in Iraq senior leader Abu Ayyub al-Masri. The suspect allegedly has a history of terrorist activity that originated in Baghdad, and is believed to have been recently appointed to a leadership position in the region after the previous terrorist leader was killed.

As Coalition forces arrived in the target area, an armed terrorist ran at their position and was repeatedly directed to stop, but did not comply. Perceiving hostile intent, the ground force engaged the man and killed him. As Coalition forces continued to clear the area, they were engaged by small arms fire north of their position. A supporting aircraft was called to suppress enemy fire, killing the armed terrorist. Three suspected terrorists were also detained during the operation without further incident.

During two coordinated operations in Mosul, Coalition forces targeted senior leaders involved in the al-Qaeda network operating in the city. In one location, Coalition forces captured a suspected terrorist who was allegedly operating as a judge of a terrorist illegal court system. Reports indicate the suspect is involved in the interrogation of individuals who have been kidnapped by al-Qaeda in Iraq networks and is responsible for the facilitation and maintenance of weapons caches in the area. The individual is also allegedly a subordinate of an al-Qaeda in Iraq leader for the Mosul network, who was detained Jan. 6 for his role in terrorist attacks, abductions and executions (see MNF-I press release A080107a, "Coalition forces target al-Qaeda in Iraq leadership; six suspects detained," dated Jan. 7, 2008).

Intelligence reports led Coalition forces to a follow-on operation where they detained five suspected terrorists while targeting the al-Qaeda in Iraq senior leader for Mosul.

Coalition forces conducted an operation northeast of Samarra targeting associates of the al-Qaeda network in the city. Information gained from previous operations in the area led the ground force to a location where al-Qaeda in Iraq members were believed to be operating. Eight suspected terrorists were detained.

"The results of these operations represent another step forward in disrupting the al-Qaeda networks operating in northern Iraq," said Maj. Winfield Danielson, MNF-I spokesman. "As the terrorists try to re-establish themselves in new locations, we will follow and drive them from their hiding places."

Coalition forces target al-Qaeda near Hamrin Lake, three terrorists killed

BAGHDAD, Iraq – Coalition forces killed three terrorists today during operations targeting al-Qaeda networks north of Jalula.

Intelligence reports from previous operations led Coalition forces to a location northeast of Hamrin Lake, where al-Qaeda in Iraq networks were believed to be operating. Coalition forces assessed that recent success in the Diyala River Valley region pushed these terrorists to seek safe haven in the area.

As Coalition forces arrived at one of the target buildings in the area, they repeatedly called for the occupants to come out, but they did not comply. The ground force was then engaged by armed gunmen from the rooftop and surrounding courtyard. Coalition forces returned fire in self-defense and a supporting aircraft engaged to suppress the enemy force. The ground force was also engaged by an armed man near the entrance to the courtyard of the building, and pulled back to allow supporting aircraft to engage the hostile threat.

Once the enemy fire ceased, Coalition forces cleared the area and assessed that three terrorists were killed during the engagement. The ground force discovered that two women were also killed and two other women were wounded during the engagement. The wounded women received immediate medical attention by Coalition forces medical personnel before being airlifted to a military medical facility for further treatment.

During another operation in the area, Coalition forces returned to a building from a previous operation and called for the building’s occupants to come out. An individual exited, but did not comply with verbal instructions and ignored warning shots. The man continued to approach the ground force and Coalition forces engaged, killing him. Similar tactics have been used in the area by suicide bombers to attack Coalition forces, and the ground force perceived hostile intent.

“Coalition forces deeply regrets when civilians are hurt or killed during operations to rid Iraq of terrorism,” said Maj. Winfield Danielson, MNF-I spokesman. “These terrorists deliberately place innocent Iraqi women and children in danger by their actions and presence.”

Multi-National Division – Center PAO

BAGHDAD – Air strikes dropped 10,000 pounds of munitions Jan. 16 on bunkers in Arab Jabour used by al-Qaeda as training sites for new recruits.

Intelligence led the 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division, Fort Stewart, Ga. to the location of the AQI bunkers. Air Force B-1 Bombers dropped 19 GBU-31s on the site.

“This operation maintains the momentum of Operation Thunderbolt by denying enemy sanctuaries and enemy caches, ultimately downgrading their capabilities,” said Maj. James Wilburn, daytime chief of operations, 2nd BCT, 3rd Inf. Div.

South of Zambraniyah, Soldiers from the 6th Squadron, 8th Cavalry Regt., 4th BCT, 3rd Inf. Div. found two booby-trapped houses while on a foot patrol.

BAGHDAD, Iraq – Coalition forces killed four terrorists Thursday during operations targeting al-Qaeda in Qulay’ah, west of Muqdadiyah.

During the operation, surveillance elements positively identified several terrorists at an al-Qaeda in Iraq meeting location. Coalition forces directed a precision air strike and assessed that four terrorists were killed in the operation.

Coalition forces also directed a precision air strike on a vehicle, which intelligence reports indicated was carrying an anti-aircraft weapon. The driver of the vehicle transporting the weapon was one of the terrorists killed in the initial air strike. The vehicle and weapon were destroyed to prevent future use by terrorists.

“We continue to strike the al-Qaeda networks that conduct heinous attacks against Iraqi and Coalition forces, and innocent civilians,” said Maj. Winfield Danielson, MNF-I spokesman. “Iraqi and Coalition forces are taking the fight to these terrorists, keeping them on the defensive and diminishing their ability to attack.”

Al-Qaeda operations in northern Iraq disrupted; 13 killed, three detained

BAGHDAD, Iraq – Coalition forces killed 13 terrorists and detained three suspects Thursday and today during operations targeting al-Qaeda networks in central and northern Iraq.

Southwest of Hawijah this morning, Coalition forces targeted an alleged senior leader involved in the al-Qaeda in Iraq network operating in Kirkuk. The suspect is allegedly responsible for facilitating finances for terrorist operations in the region and involved in improvised explosive device attacks. Reports also indicate he was a close associate of Abu Harith, the senior leader of the Kirkuk terrorist network, before he was killed during a Coalition forces operation Nov. 21 (see MNF-I press release 071128a, “UPDATE: Coalition forces positively identify terrorists killed in recent raids,” dated Nov. 28, 2007).

As Coalition forces arrived in the target area, they were engaged by small-arms fire and rocket propelled grenades. The ground force returned fire in self-defense and called for supporting aircraft. As the firefight continued, Coalition forces observed armed terrorists emerging from the target building. Supporting aircraft engaged them and enemy personnel firing from inside the target buildings. The ground force then observed secondary explosions erupt from the buildings, indicating that explosive materials were likely stored inside. Due to the hostile environment, the ground force pulled back and called for supporting aircraft to engage the buildings to destroy any remaining explosives. The ground force assessed that a total of nine terrorists were killed during the engagement.

West of Muqdadiyah today, Coalition forces targeted alleged associates of the al-Qaeda in Iraq network operating in the northeast Diyala River Valley region. Reports indicate the individuals were associated with an al-Qaeda in Iraq meeting that was targeted by Coalition forces Thursday after they identified a terrorist transporting an anti-aircraft weapon in his vehicle (see MNF-I press release A080118a, “Coalition forces conduct air strike on al-Qaeda meeting, four terrorists killed,” dated Jan 18, 2008). Coalition forces confirmed the presence of the terrorists in the target area and called a supporting aircraft to engage, killing four terrorists and destroying two buildings believed to be used for terrorist activities.

During three coordinated operations near Samarra Thursday and this morning, Coalition forces detained three suspects while targeting foreign terrorist facilitators involved in the al-Qaeda network in the city. Reports indicate that one of the suspected terrorists detained is involved in foreign terrorist facilitation and is associated with al-Qaeda members that conduct attacks against Coalition forces. The individual allegedly uses his residence as a safe haven for al-Qaeda members and foreign terrorists, and has ties to senior leaders in the network.

“Al-Qaeda has the capability to carry out violent, spectacular attacks against the Iraqi people,” said Navy Capt. Vic Beck, MNF-I spokesman. “We are continuing to keep the pressure on them and are squarely focused on dismantling al-Qaeda in Iraq networks.”

Iraqi Police, MND-N Soldiers kill insurgent leader during raid (Salah ad Din)

Multi-National Division – North PAO

MOSUL, Iraq – One of the most wanted men in Salah ad Din province was killed Jan. 16 by Sharqat Iraqi Police and Multi-National Division – North Soldiers after the units came under attack by small arms fire.

The extremist leader was a planner, financier and IED facilitator and was a key target Iraqi Police and MND-N Soldiers have been aggressively pursuing, said Lt. Col. Thomas Dorame, commander for 1st Squadron, 3d Armored Cavalry Regiment.

“His capture eliminates one of the worst of al-Qaeda in Iraq leaders operating in southern Ninewah and the Sharqat Police District. His death damages the command and control structure of multiple terrorist IED cells in the area, disrupts the financing of terrorist activities in southern Ninewah, and sends a message to enemy forces that even the elite among them are vulnerable,” Dorame said.

Iraqi Police and U.S. Soldiers surrounded the house to conduct a raid after intelligence reports confirmed the extremist leader was in the building.

As they moved into position, they were attacked by small arms fire.

After an air weapons team engaged the house, Soldiers cordoned the area and the Iraqi Policemen entered the home and cleared it. One other extremist was killed during the battle.

Coalition significantly disrupts al-Qaeda networks: two killed; 18 detained

BAGHDAD, Iraq – Coalition forces killed two terrorists and detained 18 suspects Monday during operations targeting al-Qaeda networks in central and northern Iraq.

Intelligence reports led Coalition forces west of Muqdadiyah to an alleged al-Qaeda in Iraq meeting location and weapons cache. The target area was assessed to be associated with the individuals recently killed during an operation Jan. 18 for their involvement in the terrorist network in the northeast Diyala River Valley region.

As the ground force called for the occupants of the target building to come out, two armed terrorists maneuvered toward them. Perceiving hostile intent from the armed men, Coalition forces engaged, killing the two terrorists.
