Margaret Haywood struck off - No apology from Gordon for her.

A dof of the cap to a gibos tale, for this one:
Margaret Haywood, a whistleblowing nurse who secretly filmed for the BBC to reveal the neglect of elderly patients at a hospital has been struck off for misconduct.

Ms Haywood who is 58, secretly filmed elderly patients at the Royal Sussex Hospital in Brighton for a BBC Panorama programme in July 2005.

Today... in an unbelievably crass act she was struck off by the Nursing and Midwifery Council who said she failed to "follow her obligations as a nurse". In other words... the Nursing and Midwifery Council believe that rules... are more important and come before the care of patients! Unbelievable!!

Ms Haywood, who is originally from Liverpool and has been a nurse for over 20 years, said she thought she had been treated harshly and insisted she had put patients first.

Now think on this, we have heard the bare faced lies about the NHS being safe in Gordon's hands, that babies will be eaten alive should the Tories or anyone else come to power an yet this happens on his watch?

So screw the patients care it's rules are rules, they claim that she failed to "follow her obligations as a nurse". Really I thought acting in the best interest of a patient was the major obligation of being a nurse.

So under Labour we have an NHS where this can happen and if you listen carefully you hear the tumbleweeds blowing as all the Ministers rather than kicking up a stink about this, are off getting a blow job from some rent boy called "John Lewis" and which will be stuck under sundry expenses and charged to us.

I rather thought that the Nursing and Midwifery Council would see the way that the wind was blowing but by this absurd decision to shoot the messenger they have lost all respect.
