Good News From Iraq/Koffing Anus gets a Dhimmi, and some more on Imran Khan.

Detainees released following CRRB review

Baghdad, Iraq – About 390 male detainees were released from Theater Internment Facilities on Feb. 27. The Combined Review and Release Board reviewed their cases and recommended release.

The Iraqi-led CRRB, which was established in August 2004, consists of members from the Ministries of Human Rights, Justice and Interior, as well as officers from the Multi-National Forces.

To date, the board has reviewed the cases of more than 29,500 detainees, recommending more than 15,300 individuals for release.

Iraqi Security Forces heighten visibility throughout Iraq

The Iraqi leadership rose to the occasion and came together according to the American Ambassador to Iraq in a television press conference Feb. 27 in Baghdad.

"We were on the brink of civil war, but now things are moving in the right direction,” said U.S. Ambassador Zalmay Khalilizad. “But there are pockets of difficulty here and there.”

“Sunni and Shiite leaders met to talk about problems due to the recent attacks of violence on the Al Askariya Mosque in Samarra,” according to Khalilizad. “Many issues were agreed upon including imposition of a curfew for a few days, an investigation into the attack on the golden-domed shrine and also weapons prohibition for private citizens.”

Iraqi Security Forces played a major role in quelling terrorist action and civil strife since the destruction of the mosque.

A decision was made by the Ministry of Defense to deploy armored vehicles in some areas through out Baghdad.

The additional deployment is necessary to keep the situation calm as curfew restrictions are lifted, said Gen. Abdel Aziz Mohammed, Chief of Defense Ministry Operations.

“Not to scare the citizens, but to assure them and make them confident of their armed forces,” Gen. Aziz said. “This decision was made Feb. 26 and the armored vehicles are in place now bearing the Iraqi flag, which represents national unity.”

The government also ordered soldiers to arrest anyone illegally carrying weapons. Gen. Aziz strongly encouraged the media to help people understand the need for not carrying weapons and provoking further violence that disrupts the political progress made in the newly-democratic nation.

“The orders are clear, meaning no groups can carry weapons on the streets. Anyone carrying weapons on the streets will be detained. If they do not comply, the army will use force.”

Ambassador Khalilizad believes terrorists will continue their attempt to drive a sectarian wedge among the Iraqi people. Despite their attempts, he said this is a time of hope when the Iraqi people can show their determination to choose progress over violence. “This moment of great danger is also a great opportunity for a new Iraqi nationalism.” (Content compiled from Wire and Official DOD sources.

Ran my blog through snapshirts and it came out like this: http://www.snapshirts.com/custom.php

Oh quick update on the loon Imran Khan, who was bleating on about cartoons on Mo (praise be his name and all that jazz) being worse than the Holocaust- is he on David Irvings mailing list? - he is the Chancellor of Bradford University. http://www.brad.ac.uk/chancellor/

And we have another Jens Byskov dhimmi award to hand out, this one go's to none other than Koffing Anus the UN Sec. Gen. Seems that Kofi has been groveling to the Islamic nations more than usual of late.

He sniveled the following:

"We must appeal to the majority to speak up and denounce those who disrespect values and principles of solidarity that are present in all great religions," he urged at the opening session of the second meeting of the HLG, which began at the Ritz-Carlton in Doha yesterday.
Then he bleated on:
"Of course, the Alliance was not launched to deal with immediate crises like this," Annan said while pointing out that the intensity of feeling witnessed in the last few weeks comes from "a deep reservoir of mistrust and resentment, which was there long before the offensive cartoons were printed."
Of course its all down to the Dutch not being able to adapt to Islamic ways:

"In truth, the present conflicts and misunderstandings probably have more to do with proximity than with distance," remarked Annan. In his view, Denmark, the first country to publish the offensive caricatures, has recently acquired a significant Muslim population, and is not yet sure how to adjust to it.

Oh and here is a strange bit about Capt Hooks son. Seems that he doing the Jihad Ali G style for the urban terrorist on the streets. Found this rather amusing tale of Islamic hate rap in todays Sun newspaper. Mind you the thing that really amused me is that fact that his dad gave him the name camel, sorry thats Kamel. Either way rather amusing....

JAILED cleric Abu Hamza’s terrorist son is spreading words of hate — as a rapper.

Mohammed Kamel Mostafa’s song lyrics rant about waging Jihad (holy war) and carrying weapons, and praise banned Middle East terrorist groups Hezbollah and Hamas.

In one he raps: “I was born to be a soldier, Kalashnikov in my shoulder, peace to Hamas and Hezbollah, that’s the way of the lord Allah . . . we’re Jihad through, defend my religion with the holy sword.” He also sings of his Islamic “brothers” who vowed to die for Allah.

Still at least he's not stuck in a Yemani jail mores the pity....

Waste of Council Tax

Well I have known for a long time how the left love to waste money and pander to the feelings of the oppressed minoritys (sic) and as if we needed any further proof I have had this mailed to me.

An application for a "Community Memories - Project Officer." and it pays rather well to be fair. 19K to gather stories from and I quote from the advert "Black and Minority Ethnic groups within Newport" - Not a bad little earner that.

As my mate who mailed the advert put it: Yeh - interviewing ethnic minorities - why don't the police just hand over their taped interviews - I'm sure they contain all relevant info about how Uncle Rastas used to sell drugs the same day he crawled off the banana boat or how Uncle Muhamet rounded up all the local cats & dogs before opening his curry house.

This from a council that has it in for wind chimes in cemeterys. I kid you not it seems that our beloved council in its socialist wisdom has decided that the noise from them is something they really must crack down on:

A council has banned wind chimes from a cemetery because they make too much noise. Hundreds of chimes have been hung from trees at the site in Newport, south Wales by mourners visiting the graves of their loved ones.

Now council officials have said that the decorations must be removed from Christchurch Road cemetery by March 1. They imposed the ban after complaints from the public about the noise created by so many chimes. But other visitors to the cemetery say the sound is soothing and no louder than the noise from the nearby motorway.

Rest of the article is here: Fascist bastards with nothing better to do go out of their way to offend grieving reletives. Bastards the lot of them, lets hope that come the next council elections the grieveing relatives will vote those shits out of power.

Posted by PicasaFinally I have to get back to a mad hat I covered once before Imran Khan. Yes this loon is madder than a jar full of polecats thats been shaken up for a few days.
Seems that the latest thing that has got our ex cheating bowler, and reformed boozer all in a spin is the cartoons.

Dont you just know that they are worse than the Holocaust, I mean how can you compare the slaughter of millions with insulting the Propet Mohammed? Here's the clip (mp3 250kB, 15 secs) - Hat tip to drinking from home... Oh and here is little something I did before on the ass hat Mr Khan.... Hypocrite of the year go's to Imran Khan
“I don’t think the message has got through that for us it’s far more painful than perhaps even the Holocaust for the Jews. Any caricature or any ridicule or any humiliation of the holy prophet is far more painful for the Muslims,

And as if the former cricket star was not bad enough, seems that part time MP & wanna be cat Mr Tiddles, sorry George Galloway has been spouting off in Algeria's El Khabar newspaper (via Harry's Place):
This incident is worse than the 11 September attacks in the US and the 7/7 incidents in London. Therefore, today it is the right of Muslims to express their anger and to defend their right and faith.

EDM 1637 - Hugo Chavez/Cartoons of Mass Amusement.

Rosindell, Andrew

That this House completely rejects the suggestion that the UK should hand over the Falkland Islands to Argentina made by Venezuelan President, Hugo Chavez, on 9th February; believes that all matters relating to the Falkland Islands, expecially sovereignty, are issues concerning the Falkland Islanders and the British Government alone; notes the illegitimacy of the Argentine claim on the islands; and urges the Government to rally round these loyal subjects of the Crown whenever their sovereignty is questioned and to declare that the Union Jack will permanently fly above Port Stanley.

** Missed this one about ol Chavez wanting us to hand our domains over to Argentina. The Argentines had their chance to grab the Falklands and lost the war. This edm was signed by 27 MP's - neither of our local Newport MP's bothered to sign, Jessica Morden as she was off having her nails done(or maybe reading the new Harry Potter book - although that may be a bit advanced for her methinks) and libelist MP Paul Flynn never signed either as he seems more concerned with drug related issues.

Quick call the police! A disaster has happened. A cartoon has appeared and El Beeb is going into shock.

Seems that someone has fired off a cartoon of mass hysteria. Get a load of this lefty tosh as reported on El Beeb:

Extremists have been blamed after a cartoon featuring the prophet Mohammed with a bomb in his turban was put up in a housing office in Oldham.

The cartoon, which has sparked protests from Muslims worldwide since it was published in a Danish newspaper last year, appeared at First Choice Homes.

Managers acted quickly to remove it and have begun an inquiry.

  • Oh the pain, the humanity! How will we ever cope after this. A cartoon, and they are holding an inquiry to see how someone put that up? Now thats hardly the work of extremists to be fair, I always thought any self respecting extremist tended to go more for violence, explosives extortion and that sort of thing. Still they are looking into it, just in case any more extreme pictures are pinned to boards..

Oldham was hit by race riots in 2001 when youths from the mainly Muslim Asian community fought white youths.

A number of measures have since been carried out in an effort to improve race relations in the town.

Staff offended

First Choice Homes - which runs the town's council housing - said the matter had been reported to police.

Steve Yorke, its Director of Management and Operations, said many staff had been offended by the cartoon.

  • Yes as I am sure that police have nothing better to do with their time than to look into the matter of cartoons...after all they have serious crimes to look into, gay horses, people driving 1mph over the limit, or eating an apple at the wheel etc etc...

"They were upset and angry but it's our job to demonstrate to all staff that we will not tolerate offensive literature, we will not tolerate posters of this kind which are designed to divide our staff and set staff against each other in whatever way shape or form," he said.

  • love that phrase "divide our staff" - its hardly a Stalinist purge now is it? Get a grip, tell the offended staff to suck it up and deal with it and to stop being new age dhimmis.

Oldham Council said the cartoon could be part of an attempt by right-wing extremists to increase tension ahead of council elections in May.....blah blah blah...

Paul Flynns apology:
Recently Paul Flynn was involved in a libel case where he made comments about an endowment pensions company, the result of which he had to pay out damages. He was sued after he posted an attack on such companies on his website, claiming they were out to "re-rob" the victims of endowment mis-selling by dishonestly over-charging them for their services.
But he made the mistake of referring to well-regarded company Endowment Justice Ltd, which represents mis-selling victims on a "no-win, no-fee" basis. The company and its directors sued and at London's High Court Mr Flynn made a public apology for the "unjustified attack" on the claimants' integrity.
The MP as part of the settlement put the following statement on his website: On this website in February this year, I made certain statements referring to Endowment Justice Limited, one of the companies which offers assistance in obtaining compensation for those people who were mis-sold endowment policies. I have been campaigning against companies providing professional services in relation to endowment policy compensation claims, but my facts about Endowment Justice were incorrect. As a result, I wrongly accused the company and its directors Nick Keca, Marianne Fitzjohn and Graeme Webber of having previously mis-sold endowment policies and now dishonestly overcharging those self-same victims to help them obtain compensation. I am happy to clarify that neither Endowment Justice Ltd or any of its directors were ever involved in any aspect of endowment policy selling. It was therefore false and unfair to suggest that they had profited from the historic mis-selling of endowment policies. I was also incorrect in stating that Endowment Justice, which offers its services in recovering compensation on a “no-win, no-fee” basis, could charge its customers up to 40% of any compensation gained. Endowment Justice in fact charge customers 17.5% plus VAT or 22.5% plus VAT of any compensation gained. I was wrong to give the unintended impression that the company or its directors acts in any way improperly or unlawfully in providing services to those seeking compensation for endowment policy mis-selling. I would like to apologise to Endowment Justice for my allegations, and to Mr. Keca, Ms. Fitzjohn and Mr. Webber for any embarrassment or distress caused by my false remarks.

News From Iraq & Biased BBC

Iraqi army recruits graduate from basic training

CAMP TAJI, Iraq – A new crop of trained soldiers joined the ranks of the 9th Iraqi Army Division (Mechanized) after completing basic training Feb. 21 at the Taji Training Center.

At a ceremony filled with fanfare, pageantry and British drill and ceremony, 83 new Jundis (privates) graduated from the five-week basic training academy here.

“I order you, brave sons of the great Iraq, to strike with an iron fist anyone who would dare disturb the security of your country,” Iraqi Capt. Hamed Baker, the assistant commander of the Taji Training Center, charged the new graduates in the commencement speech. “You are to be the shield against terrorists. Congratulations for this. Your honor will be mentioned in our history for many years to come.”

A number of distinguished guests were on hand to view the ceremony, including Iraqi Col. Alla Ahmed, post commander for Camp Taji. Ahmed presented certificates to four expert marksmen, recognizing their accomplishment.

“We started the basic training class with 86 personnel,” explained Staff Sgt. Michael Munoz, the operations sergeant for the basic training academy, “but we finished with 83. Almost all of the training was conducted by the Iraqi army instructors.” Soon the academy will be turned over completely to the Iraqi army.

The Jundis, new recruits, have done a lot of things that they had never seen before and learned to do things outside the base, such as manning check points and clearing rooms. They also learned first aid tasks, rifle marksmanship, and drill and ceremony.

“All these graduates belong to the 9th Iraqi Army Division,” said Sgt. 1st Class Marvin Green, the noncommissioned officer in charge of the basic training academy. After the graduation ceremony, the new graduates check into their units. Afterward, they go on leave to spend some time with their families.

One of the Jundis commented afterwards that he was thankful for completing the training and that he’s happy now and is looking forward to going home to see his family.

Another of the Jundis said the recruits thank everybody in the academy for the excellent training from the instructors and great experience they received from the American advisors.

In closing, Ibraheem thanked many who had supported the basic training academy. “A special thanks to the Americans for giving us unlimited support.”

More than 150 Iraqi Soldiers graduate from academy

FORWARD OPERATING BASE CONSTITUTION, Iraq – More than 150 3rd Brigade, 6th Iraqi Army Division Soldiers stood proudly at attention Feb. 5 to receive their graduation confirmation following six weeks of grueling training.

The soldiers had just completed the Iraqi Army’s new basic training course and are amongst the first training cycles to graduate from the academy here.

The basic training course was run completely by the Iraqi Army, but a U.S. Military Transition Team was available for guidance when needed.

Lt. Col. Hazim Abdel, executive officer for the Iraqi brigade, said he is proud of his new soldiers and that more recruits are on their way.

“These men felt very lazy before joining the army because many of them did not feel like they had a purpose before,” he said. “Now they feel that they are doing something important by protecting their great country of Iraq. Soon we will have another group coming for the next cycle.”

“It was interesting to see how the (Iraqis) do their ceremonies and how they conduct their training,” said Sgt. 1st Class David Larson, MiTT, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 10th Mountain Division, who is also a former Army drill sergeant. “It’s a once in a lifetime experience.”

Sgt. James Bates, also with the MiTT, said the team is on hand for both training and in real-life combat situations. The team is comprised of Soldiers from each battalion of 1st Bde. and several other units.

“We are there with them, but they operate in their own battle space without U.S. assistance,” he said. “We provide them with things, such as logistical support and making sure they do proper reporting of what is going on in their area of operations.”

The Iraqi Soldiers improved their physical stamina by running three kilometers each day and conducting combatives classes throughout their 1.5 month of soldier-skills training.

“We’ve given the Soldiers very intensive lessons to help them while they conduct military duties,” said Lt. Col. Hausim Hameed, commanding officer of training for the brigade. “I think that they will have great roles protecting their country when they join their new units soon.”

Hameed added that his troops also mastered marksmanship, learned tactics and techniques for fighting in an urban environment and basic medical treatment procedures.

Anwar Yass, a new graduate, said he felt that the training he received was comprehensive.

“They taught us many basic things about the military,” said Yass. “We knew nothing about this type of lifestyle in civilian life. We overcame all of the difficulties that faced us, and I am ready to work at any unit I am assigned to. I am happy to fight the terrorists and serve my country.”

CAMP BUTLER, Iraq
– Iraqi soldiers of the 2nd Tank Battalion, 2nd Tank Brigade, 9th Iraqi Army Division, conducted a tank gunner range here Feb. 16-21.

The range served to certify the tankers on T-72 Main Battle Tank, who fired 125mm rounds with pinpoint precision on a designated target a mile away.

As the rounds exploded, “We have been in training for two months to become a tanker in the new Iraqi army,” said Ramn Abis, an Iraqi tanker who recently qualified on the T-72 to help his country fight against terrorists. “After this, we have a duty to go down to the units and catch terrorists.”

The tanker school taught Iraqi soldiers a variety of skills, such as communications, driving the tanks, shooting the T-72’s arsenal of weapons and how to deal with terrorists. The course was two months long and concluded with the tank gunnery exercise. The class was taught by the 2nd Tank. Bn., Military Transition Team, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division.

“These guys are great, and there are a lot of young ones who are really trying hard,” said Maj. Scott Davis, Military Transition Team. “We are here grading them to see how they do. These guys are really proud of these tanks.”

The 1st BCT is working closely with soldiers of the 9th IA Div. to teach, coach and mentor them. The Taji-based Iraqi division is composed of three heavy tank brigades, each consisting of almost 4,000 soldiers.

Two of the brigades are already patrolling the area, fighting the terrorists and detaining suspected criminals either by themselves or with some American support. The third brigade is scheduled to be fully operational in the next couple of months after Iraqi cadets complete basic training to fill its ranks.

The goal of the 1st BCT is to have the 9th IA Div. fully functional and taking control of the 1st BCT battle space. To accomplish this goal, the Iraqis are taking the lead in every operation. In addition, military transition teams are assigned to work hand-in-hand with the Iraqis to mentor key leaders within the Iraqi command group staff.

Iraqi tanker school is just another example of military transition teams teaching the soldiers of the Iraqi army to better themselves so they can defend themselves.

“I have done this for years, so it was easy for me,” said Abis, who has been a tanker for 32 years. “We have the same technology today. But before, we didn’t have the same clear orders. Now we practice and we go to school a lot. We are much better than we were in the past.”

Minefield cleared with help from local man

TIKRIT, Iraq – Iraqi and coalition Soldiers cleared a previously unknown minefield Feb. 23 near Tikrit thanks to a tip from a local man.

The Soldiers from the 1st Brigade, 4th Iraqi Army Division and the 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division were searching the area for weapons caches when they came across the man and were guided to the minefield.
Thirty anti-personnel mines were unearthed and destroyed at the site, along with two rifles and a large quantity of machine gun ammunition also discovered during the mission.

Iraqi security forces and coalition units receive tips about weapons caches and terrorist activities from Iraqi civilians almost every day. These tips have led to the seizure of hundreds of weapons and have helped take numerous terror suspects off the streets.

Citizens who help their nation by providing these types of tips may qualify for substantial rewards.

Iraqi citizen’s tip helps IA, MNB-D Soldiers

BAGHDAD, Iraq – Soldiers from Multi-National Division – Baghdad’s 3rd Battalion, 16th Field Artillery Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division, responded to an Iraqi citizen’s tip Feb. 23 and found a roadside bomb east of An Najaf.

The shape-charge bomb was encased in Styrofoam and was pointing towards a road.

Iraqi police and an Iraqi Explosive Ordnance Disposal team arrived on the scene.

The team defused the bomb to nullify the threat.

Elsewhere, two Iraqi soldiers were wounded Feb 23 when a terrorist’s mortar shell impacted northwest of Baghdad at approximately 2:30 p.m.

Both Iraqi soldiers were medically evacuated to Multi-National Division – Baghdad’s 10th Combat Support Hospital for treatment.

MOSUL — On the east side of the Tigris River, Soldiers from 3rd Battalion, 4th Brigade, 2nd Iraqi Army Division, perform routine patrols from Combat Outpost Resolve.

Serving alongside Iraqi Soldiers, a U.S. Military Transition Team lives with the 4th Bde. to mentor and train the officers of the Iraqi Army.

“It has been a very rewarding experience to live with the Iraqi Army. “It's a great pleasure
to work with them, to learn their culture,” said Capt. Jesse Bell, a MiTT officer. “They have courage and want a free Iraq.”

These IA Soldiers make me feel proud to be with them, it shows a lot of heart and courage to go out without alot of the equipment we have, said Capt. Michael Pregent, an intelligence officer working with 3rd Battalion, 4th Brigade, 2nd Iraqi Army.

“It makes you stand taller in our turret when we are out with them. They are very professional and courageous.”

“We don't make a lot of money, but I did not join for money,” said one Iraqi Soldier. “I joined to preserve my country, and to make Iraq a safe place for all the people and safe from terrorists.”

One obstacle facing the Iraqi Army is a working relationship with the Iraqi Police. This has been a constant struggle for the MiTT's, but the relationship is improving by getting both organizations to sit down and talk. The 4th Brigade's mission is to quell insurgency in their area of operation, and that means working hand-in-hand with the Iraqi Police to keep the citizens of Mosul safe.

Strange how El Beeb have not given this much coverage:

Paris: Gang suspected of killing Jew nabbed

Ilan Halimi, 23-year-old Parisian man, found tied to tree, naked, wounded, with burns covering his body; police arrest 13 suspects, say act not motivated by anti-Semitism

The French police arrested 13 people on suspicion of kidnapping, torturing and murdering Ilan Halimi, a 23-year-old Parisian Jew.

Halimi was found on Monday tied to a tree, naked and wounded, with burns covering all parts of his body. He died on the way to the hospital.

Police officials said that the abduction and murder were apparently not motivated by anti-Semitism, but added that they have not yet discovered what led the group to commit the acts.
The affair, which stunned France's Jewish community, began about a month ago, when a good-looking young woman entered a cellular phone store in Paris, where Halimi worked, and began talking to him.
