The Gurkha's who for hundreds of years have taken up arms for this land, helped us in both World Wars, The Falklands, Afghanistan, Iraq and other wars want the right to settle here in the UK.
New Labour fought this every inch of the way, lies were told by the unelected PM Gordon Brown and his ministers as to the cost should they be allowed to stay.
Thankfully the vote was successful for the Gurkha's, but lots of MP's opposed the view of the majority of the UK people and followed the party line in attempted to keep these brave men out of the UK.
Other MP's followed the cowards line in not voting, showing their contempt for these men by secretly agreeing with unelected Gordon Brown and the Labour filth.
See how your MP voted and if they were not present to vote or voted against these brave men then remember that fact; remember to vote out those self serving amoral scum on election day:
My local MP the Rt Hon. Paul Flynn MP, is an expenses fiddler who claimed £10,000 pounds in legal defence costs off the taxpayer for a libel case he lost, a libel case he could have avoided in the first place.
He has stolen on expenses a cool £7,052 for new kitchen, as well as work back in 2006 on his kitchen coming to £1580. He has also stolen from the taxpayers £1,153 on carpets and £1,200 decoration for his London property in 2005.
He also claimed £9,629 in stamp duty and fees, yet more money off of you and me.
Then we have £1000 deposit on kitchen equipment, and back in 2006 he charged the taxpayers £1201.90 on decorating his humble abode.
Plus he has claimed back mortgage interest as well, nice work if you can get it.
He also doesn't like paying his bills, he gets you to pay them instead: water, electricity, council Tax and even his television license all paid for by you.
Other perks include: £1745 on a sofa and a chair. £189 on a bathroom cabinet.
One ravel small sofa bed beige, costing £750 quid and a vanilla pluto chair costing £995 quid.
Then we have one tv table £150, one side table £90, a dining table & four chairs both £150 quid.
One leather look manager chair coming to £64.98. Oh and £424 on a bed.
His legal expenses can be seen here and his additional cost allowance found here.
Paul Flynn has also "flipped" his home as this spreadsheet
shows. Flipping a home does not imply wrongdoing, but often the MP's use the power to bill the taxpayer for furnishing more than one property.
Newport deserves better than Paul Flynn.
Gordonomics: the true cost.
Gordonomics is the economic theory behind New Labour, that has resulted in an over complicated tax structure that costs billions to administer.
A system that pours money taken in taxes from the private sector to fund a bloated public sector that produces not a penny.
A system that has left us the last G7 nation still in recession. Led by a PM who has broken his own golden rules on borrowing, leading to a national debt rising at over £6000 pounds a second.
Using government figures we will all owe £1.1 trillion by 2010. As of March 2009 the debt was £796 billions or 55.5% of our gross domestic product.
Thanks to Gordonomics we all owe £13,678 and rising. The interest on Gordon's spending will cost us over £42 billion a year, and to pay for it all Gordon plans is more tax rises.
If a company ran its books in that manner it would either remove the chairman and put matters right, something we can not do until election time or would be declared bankrupt.
See here for more details on the UK's debt bombshell.
Gordon the man who had the plan of clearing the UK's overdraft by sticking all on the nations credit card, an any day now the shaven headed bailiffs will knocking on the nations door; all thanks to this window licking hoon.
Even the head of the US Federal Reserve, Ben Bernanke said that the UK was ill-prepared to deal with the crisis in the wake of decisions made by Mr Brown when he was chancellor.
Remember the police are no longer there to help you, they are there to get targets for arrests and will arrest you under any pretext, if given the slightest chance to do so.
Seems that the local boys and girls in blue seem to find the word sorry somewhat difficult to say, or rather it seems to be a hard word for one of their bosses to say.
Even after paying out 500,000 in an out of court settlement they still wont apologise to Michael O'Brien and Ellis Sherwood who were wrongly convicted of the murder of Cardiff newsagent Phillip Saunders.
The conviction which was overturned in 1999, after which they had spent 11 years in prison, a case where the Criminal Cases Review Commission stated that there had been a "systematic disregard" of the rules of interrogation by police in that case.
The ever dour Deputy Chief Constable David Francis (pic of the laughing policeman below, one can understand his lack of compassion after all life has been hard on him as he his ginger!) said in a statement that officers had acted "in good faith and the force was not liable for malicious prosecution or misfeasance" and payment was "made in full and final settlement of the claims of Mr O'Brien and Mr Sherwood, without an apology." So there. Shame on the local plod for that, after all these guys lost 11 years for a crime that they did not do and they (the police) find it impossible to say sorry.
A quick post that I shall be doing each week picking up on the failures(and there are so many to pick up on) of the Zanu New Labour government.
1. Hate clerics. Some fifteen months ago PM Blair said that he would deport clerics who spouted hate against the UK. To date not one has been removed from the UK.
Some more good news from Iraq as not reported by the BBC. After all this doesnt focus on car bombs, listening to the sob stories of jihadists or doing down our brave troops.

ONE TERRORIST KILLED, 10 OTHERS DETAINED
BAGHDAD, Iraq – Coalition Forces killed a terrorist Saturday morning and detained an individual responsible for the movement of foreign fighters into Iraq during a raid south of Baghdad.
Saturday’s raid was part of an ongoing effort to diminish al-Qaeda in Iraq car bombing capabilities in the Baghdad area. During October, Coalition Forces detained eight other key players and 15 known associates.
During the raid, eight insurgents attempted to flee the area and ground forces were able to safely detain them. Forces detained two others without incident. The targeted terrorist was disguised as a woman in an attempt to avoid being detained.
As the Coalition Forces were preparing to depart with the detainees, they received small arms fire from a terrorist and ground forces returned fire, killing the terrorist.
Car bombings inflict an incredible amount of suffering and damage. It is always significant when Coalition Forces are able to eliminate or detain terrorists involved in these attacks.

Air strikes thwart terrorist ambushes
BAGHDAD, Iraq — Coalition aircraft thwarted two separate terrorist ambushes as ground forces moved toward their objective early Sunday morning near Balad. Coalition Forces encountered terrorist activity on two separate occasions along their travel route. After positive identification of the enemy by ground forces and with assistance from Iraqi Police, coalition aircraft engaged the targets with precision fires, killing four terrorists in one engagement and in conjunction with ground forces killed an estimated 13 others in a subsequent engagement along the same route.
Armed with RPGs, machineguns and AK47’s, the terrorists were planning to ambush the Coalition ground force. The plan did not succeed. No Coalition Forces were injured during the attack.
During each of the engagements, secondary explosions were observed, indicating IEDs or other terrorist weaponry used by al-Qaeda to kill innocent Iraqis and Coalition Forces patrolling the roads.

Would that more people showed that sort of support for the troops.
On a different note the lefty run BBC have been left with red faces over this one. BBC bosses have been left red-faced after an Iraqi cameraman they flew to the UK for a training course claimed asylum when he got here.
Seriously you could not make it up, full story in the Daily Mail here:
And here in the UK a vicar has decided that remembrance Sunday is not multicultural enough.
For decades, smartly dressed veterans and servicemen and women in Wood Green, north London, have proudly packed their parish church for the traditional Remembrance Sunday service.
But this year there will be no such solemn ceremony at St Michael's - because the vicar felt it was not multicultural enough.
Father Colin Coppen decided it was unfair on non-Anglicans to make them attend a church of England service.
Instead he has decreed that soldiers who fought and died for their country will only be remembered during Parish Mass.
If the borough wants to remember its fallen than it should do so outside the church, he says.
The decision was yesterday branded 'disgusting' by members of the Royal British Legion and parishioners, while non-Anglican groups said it was completely unnecessary.
Wood Green RBL chairman Bob King, 68, said:"It's disgusting. That man would not be a vicar if it wasn't for the sacrifices of people who gave their lives for us.
"Hitler and the Germans would be marching across Britain in their jackboots.
"A lot of people like to go to the service - various organisations, as well as individuals.
"In the 1940s and long after the war, we were still a Church of England country and it is still a Church of England church.
"It's all right to have all these faiths but, after all, we are all praying to the same God and they should hold the normal service."
He added: "There's not many ex-servicemen left but everyone goes on about looking after minorities these days, so what about us?"
Jean Gotts, a leading member of the nearby Hornsey branch of the Royal British Legion, said: "It's not any one particular religious observance.
"It is for people to remember those who lost lives in all wars and I feel these people should be remembered."
A parishioner who asked not to be named said : "I have lived here all my life and we have always had the service.
"Families should have somewhere to go and quietly reflect and remember what happened."
The Muslim Council of Britain said it had "absolutely" no objection to Muslims attending Remembrance Sunday services.
"The MCB has attended services and been represented at the annual ceremony at the Cenotaph," a spokeswoman said.
Around 100 Royal British Legion members attended the service at St Michael's last year, along with other faith groups and members of the community.
This year they will have to make do with the traditional open-air service at the local war memorial followed by Parish Mass.
Father Coppen is understood to have taken action in the hope the council would be forced to devise a more "inclusive" form of commemoration.
"This allows the borough council to think how it wants to express and celebrate the contribution that worldwide cultures made to the victory in two world wars without feeling that it necessarily has to conform to the state religion," he said.
However, the Church of England said it supported Remembrance Sunday services.
A spokesman said: "The Church of England remains fully behind them but it is his church and his decision what services take place there.
"If anyone has a problem with it they can always talk to the diocese about it or go to another church."
A Haringey Council spokesman said: "The service has always had representation from different faith groups and communities in the borough.
"We were more than happy to have the service in the church but Father Coppen said he was unable to accommodate us this year."
Seems that its not just in Iraq where the troops are laying the smack down on Jihadiscum.
In three separate incidents, starting with an attack on ANA and ISAF forces in the Panjwayi district of Kandahar province, ISAF forces were engaged in heavy fighting with large groups of Taliban yesterday.
The first incident began at approximately 10.00 am when insurgents attacked the ISAF patrol base east of Sperwan Ghar. The insurgents, who numbered between 30 - 40, were engaged with mortar, artillery fire and close air support. Further insurgents later ambushed an ANA convoy. During these actions, 12 insurgents were killed and 2 wounded.
The second engagement occurred at approximately 7.00 pm when a vehicle containing insurgents was seen moving south of Patrol Base Wilson. This was engaged by artillery fire and 10 insurgents are believed to have been killed.
The final engagement occurred when a large group of insurgents was spotted moving towards Sperwan Ghar. At approximately 10.30 pm this group was engaged with close air support and an estimated 26 insurgents were killed.
So lets see this is the war that the BBC and its leftie friends in the media and also in Parliment claim we are getting bogged down in. Strange how they mention each solider wounded with a steady drip of lefty bile, yet fail to mention the hundreds of savages sent off into the long night.
WASHINGTON — Winning the war on terror in Iraq is critical to American defense, President Bush said Oct. 25 in a WhiteHouse news conference.
Bush largely spoke about changes to Coalition strategy and tactics in Iraq.
“Our security at home depends on ensuring Iraq is an ally in the war on terror and does not become a terrorist haven likeAfghanistan under the Taliban,” the president said.
America’s goals in Iraq are unchanging, but the methods must be flexible, he said. “On the military side, our commanderson the ground are constantly adjusting their tactics to stay ahead of our enemies,” Bush said. “We’re refining our trainingstrategy for Iraqi security forces so we can help more of those forces take the lead in the fight and provide them betterequipment and firepower to be successful.”
The Coalition increased advisors in the Iraqi Ministry of Defense and Interior to help Iraqis plan and execute operations,Bush said. And the United States changed force structure in Iraq as needed to counter enemy activity.
“Most recently we have moved Iraqi and Coalition forces into Baghdad so they can help secure the city and reducesectarian violence,” he said.
However, he added, after some initial successes Iraqi and Coalition operations to secure Baghdad have encounteredgreater resistance.
“Some of the Iraqi Security Forces have performed below expectations,” the president said. “Many have performed welland are fighting bravely in some of Baghdad’s toughest neighborhoods. Once again, American troops are performingsuperbly under difficult conditions. Together with the Iraqis, they have conducted hundreds of missions throughoutBaghdad.”
But military power cannot win the war alone, Bush said, noting the Iraqi government has to take steps to solve problemscontributing to the insurgency.
“In addition to refining our military tactics to defeat the enemy, we are also working to achieve a political solution thatbrings together Shiia and Sunni and Kurds and other ethnic and religious groups,” Bush said.
Bush delineated a three-step approach to Iraq. First, Coalition officials are working with political and religious leadersacross Iraq urging them to take steps to restrain their followers and stop sectarian violence.
Second, U.S. officials are helping Iraqi leaders complete work on a national compact to solve the most difficult issuesdividing their country.
“The new Iraqi government has condemned violence from all quarters and has agreed to a schedule for resolving issuessuch as dissolving militias and death squads, sharing oil revenues, amending the Iraqi constitution and reforming thede-Baathification process,” the president said.
Third, the United States is reaching out to Arab states such as Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and Jordan andasking them to support the Iraqi Government’s efforts to persuade Sunni insurgents to lay down arms and accept nationalreconciliation.
Bush called these tasks daunting for any government, but particularly so for a government that has been in place only forjust over five months. Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki’s unity government “has to solve a host of problems created bydecades of tyrannical rule, and they have to do it in the midst of a raging conflict,” Bush said.
The United States will continue to press the Iraqis to move quickly, the president said.
“We’re making it clear that America’s patience is not unlimited,” he said. “Yet we also understand the difficult challengesIraq’s leaders face, and we will not put more pressure on the Iraqi government than it can bear.”
He said the strategy as Iraq moves forward is to help Iraq’s government grow in strength and assume more control over itscountry as soon as possible.
Bush said the American people want to win in Iraq. “They will support the war as long as they see a path to victory,” Bushsaid. “Americans can have confidence that we will prevail, because thousands of smart, dedicated civilian and militarypersonnel are risking their lives and working around the clock to ensure our success.”

Iraqi Army Raid to Capture Death Squad Commander Multi-National Corps – Iraq PAO
BAGHDAD – Special Iraqi Army forces, with Coalition advisers, conducted two raids Oct. 25 in Sadr City, Baghdad to capture a death squad leader and capture criminals involved in the kidnapping of a U.S. Soldier.
Iraqi forces and Coalition forces had credible intelligence indicating the location of an insurgent leader personally involved in and directing widespread death squad activity for numerous murder cells in eastern Baghdad. The ground assault force also planned to act on credible intelligence indicating that criminals involved in the kidnapping of a US Soldier were located in a Sadr City mosque.
Iraqi forces quickly secured the insurgent’s residence in Sadr City and detained 10 suspected death squad members. As soon as the Iraqi forces arrived at the objective, enemy small arms fire was received and suppressed by aimed, controlled fires from the assault force; enemy rocket propelled grenade fire was neutralized by precision gunfire from a supporting Coalition aircraft. Ten enemy fighters were killed and two were wounded.
The ground assault force departed the first objective and moved through Sadr City to the mosque where the kidnapping suspects were believed to be located. Iraqi forces secured the mosque, entered it, and detained three suspects for further questioning.

After the turmoil of recent weeks, the past seven days have been uneventful in the case of illegally-imprisoned Special Forces soldier Jack Idema.
Jack remains holed-up in his compound at Pulacharke prison, still under threat from the men President Karzai has posted outside the prison, but, for the moment, relatively safe.
As for Brent Bennett, Jack’s right-hand man, he remains free since giving his State Department captors the slip en route to back to the U.S. While this is, in itself, good news, it is still unclear precisely what his legal status actually is — As Brent himself wrote in his account of his removal from Afghanistan, “the United States Consul seeks to make me a man without a country to go home to”. Some reward for answering your country’s call to hunt terrorists in a time of war, eh?
While Jack and Brent continue existing in what amounts to a legal limbo, however, President Karzai’s behaviour toward hardened Taliban fighters couldn’t be more different:
Early Sunday morning, 20 Taliban fighters/terrorists were released from Pulacharke as a ‘gift’ for Ramadan. This, I’m certain, is to ensure they’ll join their terrorist brothers in the south where the American food is being dropped to help the Pashtun/Taliban. Meanwhile, the Red Cross food supplements to the women in the North has been cut off. The money and the food is going to help the Taliban fighters and their families, which barely seems possible, while the Northern Alliance, our real allies, are suffering through the beginning of another cold winter without the aid they had from America before.
This situation — the release of Taliban prisoners and the shifting of aid from friendly to hostile Afghan provinces — closely relates to the Jack Idema case.
From day one, the Karzai administration has pursued a policy of appeasing terrorists and fanatics. This is why Jack and his men wound up in prison after they arrested an ‘ex’-Taliban judge. It’s why food aid is being siphoned away from the Northern Alliance who fought with us in 2001 in order to feed the very terrorists who are still fighting (and killing) our troops today. It’s why Jack Idema is still sitting in a prison cell, even as 20 convicted terrorists walk free, presumably in order to rejoin the Global Jihad.
And, of course, all of this is being paid for by the U.S., British and Afghan people, through our taxes, and, on the battlefield, with our soldiers’ blood.
So what can we do? Well, anyone reading this with their own blog can sign up for the weekly Free Jack Idema Blogburst by emailing Cao or Rottweiler Puppy for details. I’d urge everyone to do this, as we’re still terribly short on takers. If you want to know more about the story, Cao’s Blog has a large section devoted to Jack Idema. There’s also a timeline here, and, of course, a huge amount of information is available over at SuperPatriots, without whose work none of us would have learned about Jack’s story.

I did a post a few days back on disqualified director Keith Chorlton who is running Yes Loans seems that he bought out a Mr. Mel Roberts from the company after an agreement between the two.
It is our understanding that there was a dispute however, Mr Chorlton is banned from directing a company until 2010, this is being run from the Dial site in Cwmbran, one can only assume that he will have filed the papers in the name of one of his numerous red haired offspring. Below is the bit on Mr Chorlton I dug out. A record number of rogue directors were banned from Britain's boardrooms in 1999, DTI figures showed yesterday. The total reached 1,489, from 1,350 in 1998, with a confidential public hotline given credit by DTI minister Kim Howells for much of the increase.
Yesterday the DTI was granted a 10-year ban on Keith Chorlton, of Chepstow, Monmouthshire, from serving as a director for serious misconduct as an executive of the now-insolvent dating agency Close Encounters of the Best Kind, including the transfer to himself from the agency of £464,000.
Dr Howells said this behaviour "is a perfect example of how a director can get himself a date with the court".
So what did our Keith do that got him disqualified as a director?
Turns out he stole money from a dating agency called "Close encounters of the Midnight Kind", whilst he was a director there. Previous to that he even ran scab labourers during the Miners Srike. All Yes loans want is the fee which is hardly ever paid back. Yes loans was an interesting place to work what with all the nepotism (mainly Chorltons red-haired offspring), the swearing (mainly Chorlton) and the general disregard to various rules, regulations and laws. For instance Yes Loans agents are not allowed to tell the client the APR even if they ask for it - it does however come up on the screen when the application is being put through.
A former colleague of mine who worked in Yes loans told me that the back paperwork had been pilled so high that it reached the ceiling in one office! Also they are late putting their accounts into Companies House. Something to hide Wilmot?
Also Dial dont advise staff on holiday pay(or any other employee rights) and the rules on working times etc are something that happened to someone else, getting back to holiday pay when you leave, if you dont chase them up on this they wont pay you any. I had to call (three times) and they paid by cheque even though they had my bank details to hand!
This is the sort of dubious loans company that give the whole finance sector a bad name still give them enough rope and I am sure that they will hang themselves at some point... The bit on Chorlton getting banned from The Guardian: http://business.guardian.co.uk/story/0,,235408,00.html
CNN) -- An al Qaeda operative wanted in connection with the 1998 U.S. Embassy bombings was killed in April in Pakistan, American officials have confirmed.
Pakistani officials had said that Muhsin Musa Matwalli Atwah was killed in North Waziristan during an airstrike by Pakistani forces near the border with Afghanistan.
DNA testing confirmed the Pakistani government's claim, U.S. officials said, and Atwah's name was removed from the FBI's list of Most Wanted Terrorists.
Atwah, 42, was born in Egypt. He was indicted in connection with al Qaeda's suicide bombings of U.S. embassies in Nairobi, Kenya, and Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. The attacks killed 224 people, including 12 Americans.
There was a $5 million reward for information leading to his capture.
Atwah, who also went by the alias Abdel Rahman al-Muhajer, had been a member of al Qaeda since at least 1990 and provided explosives training in Afghanistan, Pakistan and Sudan, according to his indictment.
The indictment also charged that Atwah had been part of an al Qaeda cell operating in Somalia in the early 1990s that provided training to Somali tribesmen who attacked U.S. forces in that country.
16 detained following tip from locals MULTINATIONAL DIVISION – NORTH PAO
SADIYAH, Iraq – Iraqi Army and Coalition force Soldiers captured a suspected arms dealer as well as 15 other individuals Oct. 22 during a raid near Sadiyah, Iraq after receiving valuable tips from local citizens.
Soldiers from the Iraqi Army’s 1st Battalion, 2nd Brigade, 5th Division and 1-68 Combined Arms Battalion, 3rd Heavy Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division, Task Force Lightning, were transported to the area via helicopter early Sunday morning.
The mission followed an improvised explosive device attack that killed three Soldiers from 1-68 Combined Arms Battalion. Local Iraqis provided intelligence to Coalition forces on those responsible for the attack, which enabled the Soldiers to identify and capture the suspects.
“We were real happy out there,” said 1st Lt. Alan Boyes, tank platoon leader, Company C, 1-68 Combined Arms Battalion. “The IA was able to cooperate and participate. They went in on the air assault as well. They did their part just like we did ours. They were a little bit more excited with this being their first time. They did a good job to clear the objective.”
It’s a really successful mission, and my Soldiers really enjoy it and they’re doing a good job,” said Iraqi Army Capt. Naafarl Hameed, Company A commander, through an interpreter. “We hope that we can use helicopters a lot in our missions because it is really fast.”
“It’s good; it’s always good knowing we got somebody,” said 1st Lt. Tad Slatter, infantry platoon leader, Company C, 1-68 Combined Arms Battalion.
There were no Coalition or civilian casualties during this mission.
Air strike kills five terrorists setting roadside IED
BAGHDAD, Iraq — An air strike early Sunday morning killed five terrorists and wounded one as they emplaced an IED on a road near Arab Jabour.
Coalition Forces observed a group of terrorists digging a hole in a road on the outskirts of Arab Jabour while one individual stood watch. As the terrorists placed an IED in the hole, Coalition aircraft engaged the group with precision fires causing the bomb to detonate. Ground forces transported the wounded terrorist to a nearby medical facility. Coalition Forces conducted this operation after careful and deliberate analysis to mitigate collateral damage.
NPs seize IEDs in Al Kur Mosque Multi-National Division – Baghdad PAO
BAGHDAD – Iraqi National Police from 3rd Battalion, 5th Brigade, 2nd National Police Division, seized weapons and munitions when they searched the Al Kur Mosque and nearby houses Thursday in Mansour, a muhalla in western Baghdad.
Upon entering the mosque, the policemen discovered a completed improvised-explosive device, an IED that was not yet complete, components for an armor piercing IED, three sets of body armor and an AK-47.
The search expanded to houses around the mosque; when residents saw the NPs coming, they fled. The policemen discovered Iraqi Police uniform items, pictures of military activities, a pistol and loose 7.62mm ammunition in a house
directly adjacent to the mosque. In another nearby house, they discovered a police scanner that was monitoring the NPs while they were searching the mosque.
TERROR SUSPECT DETAINED IN MOSUL(New home at Club Gitmo for this guy) BAGHDAD, Iraq – Coalition Forces detained a suspected terrorist in Mosul today during a raid targeting a high-level Al-Qaeda leader considered one of the main foreign terrorist facilitators in Iraq.
During the operation, gunfire killed a 12-year-old boy located inside the target building.
Ground forces detained the suspect and immediately transported the boy to a nearby medical facility where he subsequently died of his wounds. Coalition Forces are reviewing the incident to determine the exact circumstances surrounding the boy’s death.
Coalition Forces take precautions to mitigate risks to civilians while in pursuit of terrorists. It is unfortunate that terrorists deliberately surround themselves with women and children as they conduct operations.
Further information will be provided as it becomes available.
AIR STRIKE KILLS ONE TERRORIST IN JULAYBA
BAGHDAD, Iraq – An air strike killed one terrorist and wounded another in Julayba today after Coalition Forces observed the individuals loading a vehicle with illegal weapons and explosives.
Coalition Forces observed two individuals in a red sedan receiving and transporting a load of automatic weapons and explosives Monday morning. Credible intelligence links the suspects to another group of terror suspects observed transporting and testing IEDs on Sunday. A Coalition aircraft engaged and destroyed the vehicle with precision fires killing one of the occupants and severely injuring the other.
Coalition Forces conducted the air strike after careful and deliberate analysis to mitigate collateral damage.
This operation is part of ongoing efforts to empower the Iraqi people to defend, govern and rebuild their country. Coalition Forces will continue to hunt down and capture or kill terrorists trying to prevent a peaceful and stable Iraq.

Five insurgents killed, building destroyed south of Balad
BAGHDAD, Iraq – Coalition Forces killed an insurgent Monday morning as they conducted movement to a suspected terrorist location south of Balad and later destroyed a building associated with terrorist activities, killing four more.
As ground forces approached the objective, an insurgent along their route engaged them with rifle fire. A coalition element then engaged and killed the insurgent as the ground forces continued to the objective.
Credible intelligence indicated the presence of several suspected terrorists on the objective prior to the raid. When Coalition Forces arrived at the objective, they announced Coalition presence and called for all occupants to exit peacefully. A woman and five children exited the house without incident.
Due to intelligence that several men were present as well, Coalition Forces again requested all occupants to exit peacefully, sending the woman back inside the building to encourage the men to exit. The woman again exited the building without the men. In order to ensure the safety of the force as well as surrounding residents, Coalition aircraft delivered precision munitions onto the building, resulting in its destruction and the death of the four occupants who refused to exit.
Well the massive waste of taxpayers money the EU has found another way to piss our hard earned up against the wall, seems that inbetween sacking accountants who actually try to audit them and dreaming up new forms of regulations on banannas the EU has a swanky new logo.
The designer of this "together" logo has won some 6000 euros, thats about four thousand quid in real money. Needless to say some parodys have pop'd onto the interweb.
...rather good both of them to be fair. As for the EU waste of fucking time, effort and money, oh and their logos not worth paying on euro for yet alone a decent pound sterling. Cunts the lot of them. Tags:
It was the day that a host of BBC executives and star presenters admitted what critics have been telling them for years: the BBC is dominated by trendy, Left-leaning liberals who are biased against Christianity and in favour of multiculturalism.
**A case of stating the obvious in the case of the BBC!
A leaked account of an 'impartiality summit' called by BBC chairman Michael Grade, is certain to lead to a new row about the BBC and its reporting on key issues, especially concerning Muslims and the war on terror.
It reveals that executives would let the Bible be thrown into a dustbin on a TV comedy show, but not the Koran, and that they would broadcast an interview with Osama Bin Laden if given the opportunity. Further, it discloses that the BBC's 'diversity tsar', wants Muslim women newsreaders to be allowed to wear veils when on air.
**The BBC has a "diversity tsar" - why does that not supprise me.
At the secret meeting in London last month, which was hosted by veteran broadcaster Sue Lawley, BBC executives admitted the corporation is dominated by homosexuals and people from ethnic minorities, deliberately promotes multiculturalism, is anti-American, anti-countryside and more sensitive to the feelings of Muslims than Christians.
One veteran BBC executive said: 'There was widespread acknowledgement that we may have gone too far in the direction of political correctness.
'Unfortunately, much of it is so deeply embedded in the BBC's culture, that it is very hard to change it.'
In one of a series of discussions, executives were asked to rule on how they would react if the controversial comedian Sacha Baron Cohen. known for his offensive characters Ali G and Borat - was a guest on the programme Room 101.
On the show, celebrities are invited to throw their pet hates into a dustbin and it was imagined that Baron Cohen chose some kosher food, the Archbishop of Canterbury, a Bible and the Koran.
Nearly everyone at the summit, including the show's actual producer and the BBC's head of drama, Alan Yentob, agreed they could all be thrown into the bin, except the Koran for fear of offending Muslims.
In a debate on whether the BBC should interview Osama Bin Laden if he approached them, it was decided the Al Qaeda leader would be given a platform to explain his views.
And the BBC's 'diversity tsar', Mary Fitzpatrick, said women newsreaders should be able to wear whatever they wanted while on TV, including veils.
Ms Fitzpatrick spoke out after criticism was raised at the summit of TV newsreader Fiona Bruce, who recently wore on air a necklace with a cross.
The full account of the meeting shows how senior BBC figures queued up to lambast their employer.
Political pundit Andrew Marr said: 'The BBC is not impartial or neutral. It's a publicly funded, urban organisation with an abnormally large number of young people, ethnic minorities and gay people. It has a liberal bias not so much a party-political bias. It is better expressed as a cultural liberal bias.'
Washington correspondent Justin Webb said that the BBC is so biased against America that deputy director general Mark Byford had secretly agreed to help him to 'correct', it in his reports. Webb added that the BBC treated America with scorn and derision and gave it 'no moral weight'.
Former BBC business editor Jeff Randall said he complained to a 'very senior news executive', about the BBC's pro-multicultural stance but was given the reply: 'The BBC is not neutral in multiculturalism: it believes in it and it promotes it.'
Randall also told how he once wore Union Jack cufflinks to work but was rebuked with: 'You can't do that, that's like the National Front!'
Quoting a George Orwell observation, Randall said that the BBC was full of intellectuals who 'would rather steal from a poor box than stand to attention during God Save The King'.
There was another heated debate when the summit discussed whether the BBC was too sensitive about criticising black families for failing to take responsibility for their children.
Head of news Helen Boaden disclosed that a Radio 4 programme which blamed black youths at a young offenders', institution for bullying white inmates faced the axe until she stepped in.
But Ms Fitzpatrick, who has said that the BBC should not use white reporters in non-white countries, argued it had a duty to 'contextualise' why black youngsters behaved in such a way.
Andrew Marr told The Mail on Sunday last night: 'The BBC must always try to reflect Britain, which is mostly a provincial, middle-of-the-road country. Britain is not a mirror image of the BBC or the people who work for it.'
4th Iraqi Army Division seizes cache, captures 13 insurgents MULTINATIONAL DIVISION – NORTH PAO
TIKRIT, Iraq – Soldiers from five separate battalions in the 4th Iraqi Army Division captured 13 suspected insurgents and seized weapons, munitions, rockets and artillery Wednesday during a city-wide operation in Hawijah, Iraq.
The 4th Division’s 2nd Brigade, 3rd Brigade’s 2nd Battalion and the 18th Strategic Infrastructure Battalion established several checkpoints and conducted a comprehensive house to house search to improve security for the people in Kirkuk Province.
“Hawijah has been the scene of attacks against Coalition Forces and insurgents have used Hawijah as a passageway for coordinated attacks in other parts of the province,” said Col. Patrick T. Stackpole, commander of the 3rd Brigade, 25th Infantry Division, currently operating in Kirkuk. “We commend the Iraqi Army’s initiative, professionalism and ability to execute this complex operation,” said Stackpole.
Of the 13 insurgents captured, two were wanted by Iraqi Security Forces. Iraqi soldiers seized 74 AK-47s, numerous explosives, three pistols and two stolen cars.
4th Iraqi Army Division celebrates new multi-use compound MULTINATIONAL DIVISION – NORTH PAO
TIKRIT, Iraq – The 3rd Brigade, 4th Iraqi Army Division celebrated the grand opening of its new multi-use military compound Monday during a ribbon-cutting ceremony at Patrol Base Andrea, located west of Sulaymaniyah in northern Iraq.
According to Mr. William Hopkins, project superintendent for Environmental Chemical Corporation (ECC), some of the compound’s 30 structures include 3rd Brigade’s headquarters’ housing complex for 277 soldiers, the brigade’s 1st Battalion’s housing complex for 750 soldiers and several combined use facilities, to include a 500-seat dining facility, joint maintenance, fuel and ammunition points, a warehouse, and a medical clinic and classrooms.
Hopkins also said the compound is slated to be fully operational by December, 2006. It is the first of three permanent compounds to be constructed in the region by the 4th Iraqi Army Division with the help of Coalition Forces.
“This force was transformed into a brigade in 2004 with the assistance of Coalition Forces,” said Brig. Gen. Anwar, commanding general, 3rd Brigade, 4th
Iraqi Army Division, through an interpreter. “Our Coalition friends have again assisted us in constructing three permanent military compounds, to include this one. For it all, we are grateful,” said Anwar.
The compound will improve the efficiency of the brigade’s command and control elements and will enable soldiers of the brigade’s headquarters element and 1st Battalion to move out of borrowed housing and tents.
“Every day your soldiers demonstrate their courage by serving their country against a ruthless enemy under difficult conditions,” said Col. Patrick. T. Stackpole, commander, 3rd Infantry Brigade Combat Team, 25th Infantry Division. “Finally, they have a permanent place to rest between operations and to train together to continue to establish a safe and secure Iraq,” said Stackpole.

TWO TERRORISTs KILLED, FOUR DETAINED IN Muqdadiyah
BAGHDAD, Iraq – Coalition Forces killed two insurgents and detained four suspects during a raid in Muqdadiyah Friday targeting a terrorist known to facilitate the movement of foreign fighters and finances into the area.
As Coalition Forces approached the objective, they received fire from two armed insurgents and immediately returned fire killing both.
Forces detained four more terror suspects without further incident after they secured the area.
Last month, Coalition Forces disrupted several other foreign fighter cells in Muqdadiyah, an area foreign terrorists are known to utilize as a safe haven.
Terrorist suspects apprehended after Habbaniyah attack
BAGHDAD, Iraq – Coalition Forces apprehended seven suspected terrorists Oct. 19 associated with a VBIED attack on the Khaldiyah Bridge in Habbaniyah that killed two Iraqi soldiers, wounded two other Iraqi soldiers and four civilians the day prior.
A series of operations led to the apprehension of the suspects seen at several meetings Oct. 18 with a suspected al-Qaida in Iraq leader. Credible intelligence indicates the suspected terrorist leader coordinated the VBIED attack and is responsible for foreign fighter movements, and other attacks throughout the area.
The conditions of the wounded Iraqi soldiers and civilians are not available at this time.
Iraqi authorities have restricted all civilian traffic from the bridge pending an engineering assessment and subsequent repairs.
These operations targeted foreign fighter facilitators and VBIED operations – two of the principal threats to Iraq’s security and the safety of innocent Iraqi citizens. Those who participate in crimes against the people of Iraq will ultimately be subject to the rule of Iraqi law.
Iraqi Police spoil terrorist attack MULTINATIONAL DIVISION – NORTH PAO
MOSUL, Iraq – Iraqi police remained vigilant in the face of a complex attack in Mosul Thursday.
Al Qaeda in Iraq forces attacked the Abi Tamaam Police Station in east Mosul Thursday at approximately 7:00 a.m. with two suicide truck bombs. The first truck bomb exploded near the station’s entry control point, blowing down protective walls and creating a sizeable crater in the road. The second truck, unable to penetrate the police station’s perimeter due to the crater and debris left over from the first truck bomb detonated in the street.
As a result of the attack, 10 Iraqi civilians and one Iraqi Policeman were killed while nine IPs and 15 Iraqi civilians were wounded. Two AIF were killed in the attack.
“The Iraqi police took the brunt and stood their ground,” said Col. Steve Townsend, commander, 3rd Stryker Brigade Combat Team, 2nd Infantry Division, Task Force Lightning. “We’re immensely proud of their resilience.”
Later in the morning two other SVBIEDs targeting Coalition Forces exploded, wounding two Soldiers and causing minor damage to two Stryker vehicles. The wounded were treated and returned to duty. Two additional AIF were killed in the second attack.
Iraqi Army and Coalition Forces supported the IPs who were targeted with indirect and small arms fire throughout the morning.
Coalition Forces launched an engineer team to the police station to clear the destroyed vehicles, repair the road crater and rebuild the wall.
“We wanted to show our solidarity after their heroic stand,” Townsend said.
Thursday’s series of attacks on the IPs in Mosul came a week after ISF responded in support of CF who had been targeted by a series of complex attacks by AIF.
IA Captures Members of Insurgent and Kidnapping, Murder Cells Multi-National Corps – Iraq PAO BAGHDAD — Iraqi Army forces conducted early-morning raids Oct. 20 in Baghdad and captured several suspected members of insurgent and murder and kidnapping cells, including the alleged leader of an Al Qaeda in Iraq cell.
Iraqi forces, with Coalition advisers, arrived at three separate objectives and detained eight suspects believed responsible for sectarian murders and kidnappings, as well as improvised explosive device attacks on Iraqi and Coalition forces.
Iraqi Army forces, in a raid in the Adhamiyah area of Baghdad targeting a murder and kidnapping cell, detained two suspects responsible for sectarian attacks against Iraqi civilians and indirect fire attacks against Iraqi and Coalition forces.
In two other raids targeting insurgent and murder and kidnapping cells in southwestern Baghdad, Special Iraqi Army forces detained four suspected terrorists involved in IED, rocket-propelled grenade and small arms fire attacks against Iraqi and Coalition forces and two persons suspected of sectarian attacks against Iraqi civilians. One operation occurred in the vicinity of the Al Mluki Mosque in the Al Monsour district of Baghdad. Iraqi and Coalition forces did not enter the mosque, nor cause any damage to it.
Operations on the objectives caused minimal damage and there were no Iraqi civilian, Iraqi forces or Coalition forces casualties.
The operation was conducted as part of Operation Together Forward with the goal of disrupting cells which indiscriminately kill innocent Iraqi citizens and attack legitimate Iraqi government forces.
ISF Captures Two Terrorists in Raid Near Taji
Multi-National Corps – Iraq PAO
BAGHDAD — Special Iraqi Security Forces captured two terrorists and killed two others Oct. 19 during a raid near Taji.
Iraqi forces, with Coalition advisers, conducted an air-assault raid looking for five Al Qaeda in Iraq linked terrorists allegedly responsible for the kidnapping and murder of Iraqi citizens and conducting improvised explosive device attacks in the Taji area. The suspects had outstanding Ministry of Interior arrest warrants.
Iraqi forces entered the objective and immediately encountered three male local citizens. One man immediately complied with verbal commands and surrendered. Another man grabbed a pistol and demonstrated hostile intent. He was shot and killed by the assault force. A third man, sitting behind the second man, was wounded in the exchange. Coalition force medics immediately rendered first aid to the wounded man.
As Iraqi forces continued to clear the objective, a second male citizen was shot and killed after he grabbed a rifle during efforts to peacefully detain him.
The four persons were positively identified as the wanted terrorists.
The Iraqi force returned to base with two detainees. There were no Iraqi civilian, Iraqi force or Coalition force casualties. No significant damage was done to the objective.
One terrorist killed and seven detained in Ramadi
BAGHDAD, Iraq – Coalition Forces killed one suspected terrorist and detained seven other suspected terrorists, to include a close associate of the targeted terrorist, during a raid in Ramadi Saturday morning.
The targeted terrorist is a senior al-Qaeda in Iraq leader in Ramadi known for facilitating the movement of explosives and participating in multiple operations against Iraqi and Coalition Forces. Credible intelligence indicates he is responsible for coordinating access to weapons and finances for foreign fighters and for media production and propaganda distribution for al-Qaeda in Iraq. On Oct. 18, the targeted terrorist facilitated a suicide VBIED attack on the Khaldiyah Bridge in Habbaniyah that killed two Iraqi soldiers and wounded two Iraqi soldiers along with four civilians.
During the assault on the objective buildings, Coalition Forces were engaged by and killed the terrorist. Due to the primary target’s background, and the discovery of a booby trap in the building during clearing operations, Coalition Forces suspected the presence of explosives and destroyed the building as a measure to ensure the safety of the civilian populace.
Coalition Forces are making progress dismantling the al-Qaeda in Iraq terrorist network. The capture of this suspected terrorist reduces the ability of the al-Qaeda in Iraq network to operate, and increases the safety of all Iraqi citizens, Iraqi forces, and Iraq’s Multi-National partners.
