Yes £120,000 on "free" food and drinks for 4000 BBC staff.
The BBC has spent £120,000 on a staff Christmas party - while thousands of employees are facing the sack.
A free-flowing bar and party food were laid on at the event in a marquee in Battersea Park last night, to which 4,000 BBC Vision staff were invited.
**So there you see what our license tax is spent on. We have to pay the BBC its tithe or face a fine and possible prison term for non payment.
Yet they regard it as their due, see no reason for not wasting it. After all its not earned money so to them it has no value.

In the great annals of BBC waste, you have to remember that this is only one fiftieth of a Woss and 4000 people had some fun (admittedly on money extorted from thee and I).
It could have been worse, however. The HMRC tax limit on Christmas Party expenditure is £150 per head!
Therein is the problem, Ross is overvalued and the BBC staff as public employees earn their bread from us.
Sure a small amount at Christmas is fine but as the BBC provides poor value the large amounts pissed away on parties do get up my nose somewhat.
