A senior Liberal Democrat MEP is facing serious questions over his expenses after his girlfriend was awarded a plum job in his office. George Lyon, who promised to end the Brussels "gravy train", is using £36,000 of taxpayers money to employ his lover, Flora Boyd. This is in spite of the European Parliament voting to ban MEPs employing spouses and "stable non-marital partners".
Well I could not find much on this one, but if true then Mr Lyon is giving more than Flora a regular shafting, the public purse having also been well raped up the ass by him.
No doubt the excuse of "best person for the job" or "providing excellent value for money" will be wheeled on out as an excuse.
Politicians, I hate em all.
