Jack Idema Blogburst

Jack’s in Afghanistan, but that doesn’t stop him, he was on the radio yesterday.

neenerneenerneener to the tantrum throwers who hate Jack Idema and celebrated his ‘guilty’ verdict (at the hands of a Taliban court) and revel in the thought of his suffering in a mud cell every day. For those people, they ought to check out the Rogue Radio Live website and take a glimpse into the lives they’re living in Pulacharke…it’s unbelievable. The fact that Jack has survived over 7 Al Qaeda attempts on his life punctuates for me that he is precisely what he has always claimed to be. It is the press who promised to ‘bury him’…it is the press who depicted him as a ‘renegade’ and ‘bounty hunter’.

Jack and Brent, although they manage to get around (so much so that people are afraid of him even though he’s in prison [and how could that be if he’s the crackpot scam artist they claim]) both of them are still at Pulacharke, and the reason? We don’t know. They were declared innocent by the Afghan court in a second trial, and are being held at the behest of the American government as ‘political prisoners’.

One has to wonder precisely why. They were kicking ass and taking names, they had captured Ghulumsaki, and nailed down the rest of the terrorist cell that was planning to execute Qanooni and several other high ranking Northern Alliance officials. Reportedly, the American government knew of this plot against the Northern Alliance and did nothing. What does this say about our government? What does this say about our stake in a war where suddenly we’re giving a leg up to the enemy? The Northern Alliance were our allies during the 2001-2002 when we railed against the Taliban and drove them from Afghanistan; but sadly, American policy there has changed from kicking ass and taking names - to “give peace a chance” and extending an ‘olive branch’ to the Taliban to participate in government.

You might notice if googling up news reports of the latest resurgence in Taliban attacks; how well this policy has worked.

So with the Taliban on the increase, killings of coalition and American soldiers on the rise and the anticipation of the military operation being handed over to NATO forces, I feel a bloodbath of disastrous proportions coming on.

Meanwhile, Jack’s neighbors are the Taliban, Al Qaeda and the newly arrived Gitmo detainees, who will probably get a free get out of jail card with a promise of ‘amnesty’ from Karzai as long as they don’t continue their jihad. Which you and I both know is ridiculous. They’ll say whatever they have to -in order to get out of there and rejoin the battle. It’s called Al-takeyya- lying for the sake of Islam. They believe war is deception, and they’re doing a great job; and the media and the aclu and leftist lawyers are helping them.

Back in 2001, the Taliban was driven out and the Afghan people were free. The work of rounding up and imprisoning the few head-hackers left who’d avoided capture as Northern Alliance and U.S./British Special Forces took control of the country, was the mission ahead.

Afghanistan was turned over to the Karzai-State Department alliance, which then adopted a disastrous policy of appeasing terrorists. Jack Idema was one of the first casualties of this, as evidenced by the wording of the ‘wanted’ posters the FBI put-out prior to his initial arrest:

Approach With Force

Idema is well connected with the Afghan society, and has dealings with key military, political and local authority figures. He has been working in Afghanistan for three years, and has travelled extensively within the country. Idema is wanted by the FBI. He is known to travel with large and heavily armed soldiers from the illegal Northern Alliance.

You must remember that the American government was facing the repurcussions of Abu Ghraib at the time, and it was not politically expedient to defend the job these men were sent to do. Jack Idema and Brent Bennett were left hanging out to dry by the American government as a result.

Our old allies the Northern Alliance, were suddenly considered “illegal”. They were, in fact, the men who risked their lives alongside American Special forces soldiers to free Afghanistan from the oppressive clutches of the Taliban. That is, in fact, what the latin “De Oppresso Liber” slogan for Special Forces means; “to free the oppressed’, and that is precisely what happened during the 2001-2002 war. Afghanistan was freed from the oppressive Taliban.

But sadly, by July of 2004 when they were arrested on trumped up charges by the Taliban, the courageous former American allies, the Northern Alliance, were pushed aside by the State Department, along with soldiers like Idema who stuck around to finish the job from 2001.

Fast-forward two more years, and today we can see where these policies have led: We see the Taliban and al-Qaeda terrorists killing and terrorizing the population, enabled by men like Mujaddedi, whose corruption is so complete that he finds himself under attack by an entirely new form of terrorist — Ordinary Afghans radicalised, not by Western ‘aggression’, or Abu Ghraib, or Israel, but by the failings of their own President and corruption in government and in the legal system to punish the perpetrators of crimes like rape and murder. Truly, we are snatching defeat from the jaws of victory.

So what can we do? Well, anyone reading this with their own blog can sign up for the weekly Free Jack Idema Blogburst by emailing Cao or Rottweiler Puppy for details. I’d urge everyone to do this, as we’re still terribly short on takers. If you want to know more about the story, Cao’s Blog has a large section devoted to Jack Idema. There’s also a timeline here, and, of course, a huge amount of information is available over at SuperPatriots, without whose work none of us would have learned about Jack’s story.
