Brown misses the point.

Daily Express:
Gordon Brown has banned ministers from using the word “Muslim” in connection with the terrorism crisis.

**To what ends, being all pc about things is well just fucking pointless. The names of the terror suspects will give away that game in about two seconds flat. Oh and the fact that they have - how do I put the fact tactfully? - that they have a touch of the tar brush about them.

The Prime Minister has also instructed his team – including new Home Secretary Jacqui Smith – that the phrase “war on terror” is to be dropped.

The shake-up is part of a fresh attempt to improve community relations and avoid offending Muslims, adopting a more “consensual” tone than existed under Tony Blair....

**Ok seems Brown is missing the point, community relations requires that both sides actually want to be part of a British society, not some colony of the Umma.
Mr Brown’s spokesman acknowledged yesterday that ministers had been given specific guidelines to avoid inflammatory language.

“There is clearly a need to strike a consensual tone in relation to all communities across the UK,” the spokesman said. “It is important that the country remains united.”

**In the name of God, listen to the one eye'd cock. "specific guidelines to avoid inflammatory language.", now would that have anything to do with the EU's attitude on language towards Moslem terrorists? EU has made it verboten to call moslem terrorists exactly that.

Now the terrorists, who just so happen to be moslem did enough flameing themselves Mr Brown, and what about their language with regards us kuffir Mr Brown? Oh and exactly which ‘community leaders’ will the government be talking to about the problem posed by these purely ‘criminal’ activities? A certain community starting with the letter M?

He confirmed that the phrase “war on terror” – strongly associated with Mr Blair and US President George Bush – has been dropped.

**Fine, now rename it the War against Moslem Terror.

Officials insist that no direct links with Muslim extremists have been publicly confirmed by police investigating the latest attempted terror attacks. Mr Brown himself did not refer to Muslims or Islam once in a BBC TV interview on Sunday.
Ms Smith also avoided any such reference in her statement to MPs yesterday.

**Oh for fucks sake grow some balls Mr Brown, moderate moslem leaders are crying out for the government to take a lead. This is not the time to be going into pc dhimmi mode.
She said: “Let us be clear – terrorists are criminals, whose victims come from all walks of life, communities and religions. Terrorists attack the values shared by all law-abiding citizens. As a Government, as communities, as individuals, we need to ensure that the message of the terrorists is rejected.”

**Agreed but Mr Brown should look at the figures, ever since the Irish terrorists worked out there is more money to be made dealing drugs/organised crime/extortion etc etc, the gun has been taken up by irate moslems. And the message should be aimed at the moslem community that we as a nation need them to clean house.

However in that terrorism is in fact a crime then yes they are criminals, however and this is the point that is being missed, they do not see their actions as wrong. Infact they see their actions as a fast track to the paradise in the after life and lots of bonus points in Allah's book. By not tackling that point you are as a government letting down both the moslems and non moslems.

Tory backbencher Philip Davies said: “I don’t know what purpose is served by this. I don’t think we need pussyfoot around when talking about terrorism.”

But former Tory homeland security spokesman Patrick Mercer said: “This is quite a smart idea. We know that the vast majority of Muslims are not involved in terrorism and we have to accept there are sensitivities about these matters.”

**And thus in one comment Patrick Mercer has explained why he is the ex Tory homeland security spokesman.

And talking of Tony Blair, seems he is getting ready for the middle east...
