The Archbishop of Canterbury says the adoption of certain aspects of Sharia law in the UK "seems unavoidable".
Dr Rowan Williams told Radio 4's World at One that the UK has to "face up to the fact" that some of its citizens do not relate to the British legal system.
Dr Williams argues that adopting parts of Islamic Sharia law would help maintain social cohesion.
**WTF? What the good Dr is suggesting is cultural diversion, no longer one set of laws to govern all but a different set for those who choose to opt out of our system. All this will do is help to bring about an islamic state within the United Kingdom. Here is an idea if they can not abide our legal system then they should go to a nation that has Sharia....
For example, Muslims could choose to have marital disputes or financial matters dealt with in a Sharia court.
He says Muslims should not have to choose between "the stark alternatives of cultural loyalty or state loyalty".
And what if those Sharia court judgements contravene British law? Will moslem law take over from UK law? Go down that road and women who dare to speak out will be flogged outside the local mosque each Friday after prayers.In an exclusive interview with BBC correspondent Christopher Landau, ahead of a lecture to lawyers in London later on Monday, Dr Williams argues this relies on Sharia law being better understood. At the moment, he says "sensational reporting of opinion polls" clouds the issue.
He stresses that "nobody in their right mind would want to see in this country the kind of inhumanity that's sometimes been associated with the practice of the law in some Islamic states; the extreme punishments, the attitudes to women as well".
But Dr Williams says the argument that "there's one law for everybody... I think that's a bit of a danger".
Quite what the good Dr is on about here I really don't know. Is he really saying that our legal system that is based on one law for everyone and everyone equal under that law doesn't work? Now I know that many of the top management in the Church of England have difficulties with the concept of actually believing in God, but to advocate the promotion of another religion's legal system in what is a largely Christian country is just too much.
"There's a place for finding what would be a constructive accommodation with some aspects of Muslim law, as we already do with some other aspects of religious law."
**So first up we have the complete contempt of this nation and its values by the moslem hoards, then we have moslems carry out terror attacks here in the UK, now the dhimmi's like the good Dr Rowan seem to believe that we should let them break away from our social rules and run a system within a system.
Come the day when moslems call for the banning of Christianity in their ghetto's and for the non-believers to be classified as dhimmi's who have to pay the tax to the faithful will the good Dr be saying that that is also a good idea on the grounds of "social cohesion"
This from a man who has fawned over Islam previously and apologized for the Crusades forgetting that the Crusades started after hundreds of years of moslem aggression(jihad) on the Christian world. Maybe the good Dr should re-evaluate his beliefs and convert to Islam...

Perhaps it's us that are in the wrong here!.
Perhaps Christianity in Britain never really existed!.

The moslems claims that without Sharia law in the UK their right to practise religion under European Human Rights laws are being breached.
There is too many instances in the UK and abroad that moslem woman's rights, sense of dignity and are breached due to Sharia. You just need to google honour killings, forced marriages, polygamy, suicides due to being put under pressure to go into forced marriages to see that moslem woman are devalued to second class citizenship under Sharia.
The biggest victims of the extremes of Islam are moselms themselves.
It would appear that the Bishop has forgotten that he is supposed to represent his Christian flock, not the followers of a religion alien to these shores.
Mind a point I discovered is that he was appointed by Blair, the same Blair who was a Catholic and Catholics under an ancient law are not allowed to appoint arch bishops and the like.

The man is a fucking dhimmi, you cannot have a little shari'a, it's divine law from Allah, for all men and cannot be changed for all time, all secular law is considered blasphemy. The implementation of shari'a is only constrained by the power of the Muslims to enforce it. I'm afraid our bearded moron has been getting his head filled with taqiyya and kitman and he's not the only one. They should start listening to what the Muslims say to each other, when they're not lying to the infidel.
