Oh you have got to love the cheek of the banks.
The banks have been bragging about the amount they pay towards the state. That would be the self same banks that have used threats and put pressure on governments to first stay out of their business and when they fail by trading debt, demand that government then bails them out.
Royal Bank of Scotland bragging:
Royal Bank of Scotland bragging:
Our £3bn tax contribution would pay for 265 million NHS prescriptions and over 160,000 staff nurses.
Right all well and good but the one eye'd leader has just paid some £20 billion - I will just add here that all the monies paid to the banks is ours, thats public cash used to correct the mistakes made by the banks in the first place - to bail out RBS
Cyclops to give RBS £20 bn. of our money. Thats about 7 years of tax paid by RBS.

Next up HBOS - which says it paid the exchequer £1.656 bn last year. But wants £11.5 bn back as a bailout, some 6 times last year's tax contribution.
Plus of course they still carry on with posh parties for the select few. Seemingly oblivious to the public's anger, they plan to pay bonuses as usual this year.
Add to that they still see nothing wrong with charging the "shareholders" -thats you an me - some £30 quid plus for going a penny over an agreed overdraft or overdrawn by a sodding penny.
Hat tip to pubphilosopher
Gordon Brown a man who makes me so angry I could punch his lights out
.
2 people have spoken:

It's a minor and silly gripe of mine to everyone...but...Brown and the like give fuck-all to anyone, they take money from us and give our money away. We should always emphasise this.
Corrected that, made the point that HM Govt does not have a penny to its name.
Well its does have money, our money collected through cyclops taxes.
