Climate change fluff: £500 quid each on an eco hippie pipe dream.

Daily Mail - Tough new targets on tackling climate change will cost Britain £500 a year per household, push up utility bills and force 1.7million Britons into fuel poverty by 2020. The grim predictions came from independent Government advisers yesterday as they set targets for slashing greenhouse gas emissions. The influential panel led by millionaire business guru Adair Turner wants the UK to cut levels by up to 42 per cent within 12 years.

A report from the Committee on Climate Change said the sacrifice would be worth it ‘given the consequences and higher costs of not acting’. It admitted that shifting to a ‘low carbon economy’ could cost 1 per cent of gross domestic product - the equivalent of £14billion a year or £500 per household - by 2020. But the committee insisted the target was essential to prevent dangerous global warming.

So some millionaire on a HM Govt panel decides that we all have to pay throught the nose, should we not then the oceans will rise and we shall be swallowed up like mythical Atlantis. lets not forget that "experts" were predicting another ice age back in the 1970's, so we have gone from freeze to broil in just a few decades...

Yep the plebs will all have to pay for the pipe dream that is mythical climate change.

All because some sage has a dream of an ecowank friendly future. So what are we all going to get for our £500 a year? Not a damn thing, higher energy costs, no new reactors, no coal fired energy just lots of bodies from collages with a degree in treehugging taking a cut of our tax money.

So they have their pie charts, nice computer graphics and claim that if we all do not follow the rest of the sheep on the public payroll that we will end up living in some "Soylent Green" future of doom and eating our neighbours (much like some parts of Arfica now).

Hell these are the same people who can not even predict the weather a week or two down the line, an we are supposed to buy into them being able to predict the climate change for the next few hundred years?! At least Francis Wilson the weather forcaster on Sky is rather entertaining when wobbling about half pissed and makes no claims as to the accuracy of his predictions.

So whats its to be? More rain = climate change, less rain = climate change. I could argue this at length but will point out that we do not, never have and never will have a stable climate. Its a variable system and one only has to Google terms like "Medieval warm period to see that:

Sorry tree huggers but no Americans or Chinese power plants to be blamed for that one. Also when is the doom going to arrive 10, 20 30 years or longer? Also if it don't happen an that is what I would put my money on, can we get our £500 quid a year (and the rest as government guesstimates always rise just look at the fag packet maths for the costs of the Olympics for evidence of that one) back?

So just think of it this way if some chicken was to turn up and demand £500 to stop the sky falling would you pay, or tell it to ---- off and stop taking the piss? Yet some bloke who follows the Earth Worship of Gaia tells us to hand over the readys and HM Govt buy into this shit.
