MP and soon to be ex-MP I hope, Anthony Steen opts for option 2.
Conservative MP Anthony Steen, who has announced he will not be standing at the next election, has said that his critics are "jealous" because he has a "very, very large house".Ah right I get it now, we are just jealous as we can not graft millions off the taxpayer over many years an get a "very, very large house" of our own.
The long-standing MP for Totnes, in Devon, was alleged by the Daily Telegraph to have claimed more than £87,000 over four years for his country home.
But Mr Steen told Radio Four's World at One programme he had behaved "impeccably".
Makes a change from the "I was following orders" defense.
He is also a Member of the European Scrutiny Committee and a Member of the Regulatory Reform Committee— sort of poacher turned gamekeeper methinks.
Oh and its the FOI act that is to blame.
"We have a wretched Government here which has completely mucked up the system and caused the resignation of me and many others, because it was this Government that introduced the Freedom of Information Act and it is this Government that insisted on the things which caught me on the wrong foot.So his argument is it is the Freedom of Information Act that is the problem here, that we the great unwashed plebs an proles get to see how the great an good spend our hard earned money. So no guilt over him being caught with his hand in the till.
"What right does the public have to interfere with my private life? None."Er, what. He is a public employee, on the state payroll. If he claims it, we have the right to see where every copper coin has gone. If he is not happy with the public looking into his finances, get a job in the private sector.
A true cunt, a cunts cunt. The sort of cunt that would be looked down at by normal cunts who would think - what a cunt!
