Daily Carpet Kisser update. - Bits on mad mullahs, Iraq and other Islamonazi nonsense.

Swiss Muslim leaders hit out at airport authorities for banning prominent scholar Sheikh Wagdy Ghoneim from entering the country to attend a key conference, while slamming the conspicuous absence of invited officials at the two-day event.

"This is not the first time, and probably not the last, that a Muslim scholar is denied access to the country," Gamal Al-Khatib, the organizer of the 15th annual meeting of the League of Muslims in Switzerland (LMS), told IslamOnline.net.

He said the reasons behind the decision will remain as usual vague and unknown.

"The decision is driven by a bunch of opportunists who are playing the terror card to scare authorities and to provoke the Muslim minority."

Airport authorities said Egyptian Ghoneim, who holds a valid Swiss visa, is accused of raising funds for the Palestinian resistance movement Hamas, has been arrested by Egyptian police and is a persona non-grata in the United States.

Separately, the LMS harshly criticized government officials for failing to show up in their annual meeting, themed the Mercy to Mankind, in Fribourg.

"This is unacceptable and inexcusable," LMS head Mohammad Karmous told IOL.

"Ignoring the forum by Swiss officials, particularly those who tirelessly talk about the integration of the Muslim minority, raises many question marks."

He said government officials were expected to attend to listen to minority leaders and address problems facing Muslims.

** Would that our spineless PM Tony would stop worrying about what brand of makeup to wear and follow their lead by banning some of them from the UK!

Does Islam wants to rule the world? "Islam must rule the world and until Islam does rule the world we will continue to sacrifice our lives"Al-Badr spokesman Mustaq Aksari - CNN September 19, 2001.

Above we see the tolerant peace loving, Islamofascists in action. And from Thailand below:

The military has given the green light for the reopening of the Jihad Wittaya ponoh, a school in Pattani closed down four months ago due to suspicion of links with terrorists, but only under the condition that it changes its name. Col Jatuporn Kalumpasut, commander of the 22nd special task force, said the military will allow the school to reopen but it must be renamed since ''the word 'jihad' is too violent''.

School headmaster Dulloh Waemanor, 50, who fled before the raid, would also be permitted to return to teach at the school, the officer said.

Jihad Wittaya School, or Suan Maphrao ponoh school in Yaring district, was ordered closed on May 19 by the provincial governor after soldiers and police raided its compound and found weapons training and shooting areas, al-Qaeda training VCDs, separatist propaganda manuals, bomb-making handbooks and state officers' work and patrol schedules.

Authorities believed the closure upset southern agitators' allies and incited them to create further chaos and to persuade school students to join their activities.

But school manager Arduenun Jeh-arsae rejected the condition, saying if reopened, the school, established by his family 40 years ago to assist poor children, would not change its name from Jihad Wittaya since jihad was a word from the Islamic religion and had no bad meaning.

PAKISTAN:

WASHINGTON, DC, September 20, 2005 – Citing recent arrests and attacks on religious minorities in Pakistan under that country’s draconian blasphemy laws, Freedom House’s Center for Religious Freedom called on the U.S. State Department today to add Pakistan to its forthcoming list of “Countries of Particular Concern” (CPC) under the International Religious Freedom Act. The list is due to be released shortly.

“Human rights violations, religious intolerance and hate crimes are on the rise in Pakistan. The misuse of blasphemy law against the minorities is increasing day by day,” says Shahbaz Bhatti, Chairman of the All Pakistan Minorities Alliance...

Pakistan’s blasphemy laws can carry the death penalty. Under the country’s sharia law code, the testimony of a Muslim can equal the testimony of two non-Muslims, thus non-Muslims, or disfavored groups such as the Ahmadis, can be convicted on the testimony of a single Muslim. Currently some 80 Christians are imprisoned on blasphemy and over six hundred - Muslim and non-Muslim - have been arrested under blasphemy laws since 1988. Some have been killed while awaiting trial or following acquittal.

Terrorists use children as shields (and I thought they were all in a hurry to get those 72 virgins?)

BAGHDAD, Iraq – One child was killed and another injured when terrorists used them as human shields during Coalition forces raids of three terrorist safe houses Sept. 20.

Based on tips from concerned citizens and multiple intelligence sources, Coalition forces raided two suspected safe houses to capture known terrorists operating in the city of Mosul. The terrorists were believed to have senior al-Qaida in Iraq connections in Mosul and northern Iraq.

Upon entry into the first terrorist safe house, Coalition forces were engaged with small-arms fire by three terrorists in the house. The forces immediately returned fire, resulting in the death of two terrorists and the wounding of another.

During the firefight, one of the terrorists used a small child to shield himself as he fired on Coalition forces. Coalition forces returned fire, slightly wounding the child in the exchange of gunfire. The child and wounded terrorist were evacuated and are currently being treated at a local field hospital. Both are expected to recover from their wounds.

Coalition forces then moved to a second suspected terrorist safe house where they were again engaged with small-arms fire. Coalition forces returned fire and killed one terrorist. Several terrorists fled the safe house into a third house nearby. Coalition forces pursued the men and in the ensuing firefight killed four more terrorists.

Unbeknownst to Coalition forces, one of the terrorists picked up a small child as he was fleeing the second safe house. During the firefight, the hostage-holding terrorist was shot. The same bullet that killed him also killed the child as it exited the terrorist’s body.

Coalition forces found weapons, ammunition, grenades, and rocket-propelled grenades rounds in the second terrorist safe house as well as in a vehicle that was parked outside. Coalition forces consolidated everything in the vehicle and destroyed it and its contents prior to departing the site.

Coalition forces capture driver of key al Qaida leader. (Here's hoping he gets a nice cage in Cuba and go's water boarding on a daily basis!)

BAGHDAD, Iraq – Coalition forces captured Abdul Ghafur Yahiyah Abdullah al Abdullah (aka Abu Nur), a known terrorist who served as a driver for two key al Qaida in Iraq leaders, in Mosul Sept. 6.

Abu Nur originally worked for the Abu Musab al Zarqawi-led terrorist organization while in Tall Afar for about 10 months. He was later sent to assist with terrorist activities in Mosul by a leader within the Tall Afar-based terrorist network in early 2005. Abu Nur admitted to joining the al Qaida in Iraq terrorist network approximately 18 months ago.

For the past eight months until his recent capture, Abu Nur drove Sa’eed Ismael Mustafa (aka Abu Shahed), the Emir of West Mosul who was captured Sept. 5 -- one day prior to Abu Nur’s detention. Abu Nur also drove for another key terrorist leader who is still at large and his name is being withheld for operational reasons.

Abu Shahed was captured along with Taha Ibrahim Yasin Becher (aka Abu Fatima) during a Sept. 5 raid. Abu Fatima was the Emir of Mosul and al Qaida’s top leader in the city’s network at the time.

Oh how true.
