**Bet you the BBC NEVER reports this - link above - I can imagine the so called impartial reporters crying in their beer in the plush hotels(guarded by US/UK forces from the Islamonazis they love so well) moaning that there are just not enough beheadings/car bombs and the like to crow over in gory detail. In fact I think the BBC have a list that they say must never be reported on the evening "news", first off any thing to do with the reconstruction, like new hospitals/roads/water plants/or anything that makes life better for the citizens of Iraq. Anything about what Saddam did to terrorise his people whilst he ruled the country, as well as reporting on captured fighters or in fact anything positive what so ever. One of the great pieces of information we got recently is 80 percent of the al Qaeda network in the north has been devastated. And those are not our figures, those came from the last six leaders in Mosul , al Qaeda leaders that we captured; they informed us of that. We also had a letter that was captured from Abu Zaid (sp) going to Zarqawi . We recently killed Zaid (sp) and we had that letter, and it also talked about the desperate situation for the al Qaeda and the insurgents in Mosul and in the north. And then also, sources we have inside the al Qaeda network up here have also informed us of that. **And for the leftys here is a cartoon to clarify the situation: KABUL — Afghan authorities have detained the editor of a women’s rights magazine on the orders of a presidential adviser who deemed one of his articles blasphemous to Islam, a senior government official said yesterday. Mohaqiq Nasab, editor-in-chief of Hoqooq Zan, or Women’s Rights, was detained on last Thursday on instructions from a religious adviser to Western-backed President Hamid Karzai, the official said. ... In his article, the 50-year-old Nasab questioned the need for harsh Islamic punishment for apostates, thieves and others, Sangcharaki said. Security analysts said yesterday that the earthquake in Pakistan's highly-militarised Kashmir region had "significantly depreciated'' the insurgents' capacity to carry on their fight for independence in neighbouring Indian-administered Kashmir. ... Military sources said that an estimated 1,000 Pakistani soldiers died in the earthquake after their concrete-roofed bunkers along the Kashmir frontier collapsed. Security sources said 15 militant training camps had been put out of action by the earthquake. Almost all groups fighting the Indian army in Kashmir had ''camp offices'' either in Muzafarrabad, the devastated capital of Pakistan-administered Kashmir, or surrounding areas. Terror site found BAGHDAD, Iraq – Coalition forces acting on multiple intelligence sources raided a safe house suspected of harboring foreign terrorists on Oct 10. During the raid, Coalition forces found four 120 mm rockets of a type often used to make improvised explosive devices and detained four individuals. Coalition forces removed and destroyed the four rockets in a nearby open field. Coalition Forces capture 8 terror suspects, weapons BAGHDAD, Iraq – Coalition Forces conducting combat operations in Baghdad captured eight terror suspects, and seized bomb-making materials, two weapons caches and terrorist propaganda Oct. 7. U.S. Soldiers from 2nd Battalion, 70th Armor Regiment and a platoon of Estonian Soldiers found the larger of the two weapons caches while working together in northwest Baghdad. Soon after beginning their search, the Soldiers found a bomb made of a mortar round encased in a block of concrete, two bomb detonators, and a rocket-propelled grenade sight. The patrol then searched 34 houses in the neighborhood, capturing seven bomb-making suspects and seizing a cache containing four blasting caps, batteries, 30 feet of insulated wire, three toggle switches, and two electronic voltmeters. The Soldiers also found six AK-47 assault rifles with 12-fully loaded magazines and rifle scopes. They also seized two fake Iraqi Army uniforms, one protective mask and anti-Coalition propaganda. The seven bomb-making suspects were taken into custody for questioning. In other operations, Task Force Baghdad Soldiers unearthed a second weapons cache near a major highway in southwest Baghdad. The cache contained seven RPG warheads and boosters, two fuses, 34 magazines and 50 rounds of ammunition. Throughout the day, U.S. Soldiers providing security in and around the capitol city found four roadside bombs before terrorists could use them to attack civilians, Iraqi security forces or Coalition Forces. Explosive ordnance disposal teams safely disposed of the munitions. Militants on Sunday night stormed a Hindu village in Jammu and Kashmir's quake-hit Rajouri district, killing at least 10 people. Official sources said a group of militants descended on Pudhal village after midnight and forced the victims out of their homes, before gunning them down. As reports of the massacre reached Rajouri district headquarters, a police team was dispatched to the village. Task Force Liberty Soldiers sustain Operation Saratoga security operations TIKRIT, Iraq -- Task Force Liberty Soldiers, Iraqi Army and Iraqi Police across North Central Iraq completed more than 175 raids and security missions in their first week of Operation Saratoga. The joint operation led to the capture of nearly 750 suspected terrorists and the killing of 12 terrorists and wounding of eight others. With the assistance of Iraqi civilian tips, more than 50 improvised explosive devices were discovered and neutralized on the roads of North Central Iraq. Weapons seizures included five mortar systems, more than 50 mortar rounds, 75 artillery rounds, nearly 70 rockets and 10 anti tank mines. In one incident, Task Force Liberty Soldiers defeated a suicide vehicle borne IED attack on Oct. 6 near Samarra when a 1st Brigade Combat Team gunner identified and engaged a suicide attacker approaching his convoy from a nearby parking lot.The suicide bomber detonated his vehicle borne IED approximately 50 meters from the Task Force Liberty vehicle, killing an Iraqi child in the blast. In Salah Ad Din Province, Task Force Liberty Soldiers conducted a raid to capture a known car bomb manufacturer on Oct. 4. Soldiers of the 278th Regimental Combat Team returned fire on a terror cell about two kilometers south of the village of Dalish. The unit engaged the terrorists, killing the car bomb maker and capturing an accomplice. Daily newspaper Jyllands-Posten is facing accusations that it deliberately provoked and insulted Muslims by publishing twelve cartoons featuring the prophet Mohammed. The newspaper urged cartoonists to send in drawings of the prophet, after an author complained that nobody dared to illustrate his book on Mohammed. The author claimed that illustrators feared that extremist Muslims would find it sacrilegious to break the Islamic ban on depicting Mohammed. Twelve illustrators heeded the newspaper's call, and sent in cartoons of the prophet, which were published in the newspaper one week ago. Daily newspaper Kristeligt Dagblad said one Muslim, at least, had taken offence. 'This type of democracy is worthless for Muslims,' Imam Raed Hlayhel wrote in a statement. 'Muslims will never accept this kind of humiliation. The article has insulted every Muslim in the world. We demand an apology!' And here is the explosive phopet: www.pics.jp.dk/nybillede/default.asp?id=2253&pixid=31801/Their Perspective
Training camps used by jihadists battling with the Indian army for control of Kashmir were buried by landslides or left in ruins by the earthquake, bringing hope of a new opportunity for peace-making after a 16-year Islamic insurgency. ...**As they said the hurricanes that hit the US were the will of Allah, was this also Allah's will?
