After all snide remarks aimed both at me and other people on the training course fired by a minority of the team, that were ignored by management to scared to back up their non abuse policy. I will add that one offensive comment aimed at me was heard by our trainer, we sat there and carried on as if it never happened.
This purile attitude also went on with regard to asking questions, there were a few who seemed to know it all and if anyone else spoke up they were made to look slow and taken the piss out of.
Next snide e-mails - in breach of company policy again ignored when reported - managers that were never to hand to speak to(only saw my manager on 1 occasion in the whole time I was there). I have to add on the e-mail side that whilst I was training a few were aimed at me, and I recieved a few when out trying to do my job off of people. Thanks very much for the whispering campaign against both myself and a few others.
Lack of support - we were told during training that we would for the first few weeks be "buddyed" up with someone whilst we learn the ropes, that never happened in any way shape or form, oh yes save the "best" for last a phone and MP3 player stolen from my desk and again no one gave a flying fuck. So much for the corporate speak, that means not a damn thing when staff get treated like that. Well Done NTL as an employer you suck. No wonder I walked out. In fact I can now understand why Richard Branson sold the Virgin internet brand off... All in all a major pisser of an experiance from day one, and I shall from this day forth have not a good word to say for Virgin broadband.
