New Look Blog

Been playing around with the look of the blog, first thanks to Rottweiler Puppy for the cool pic at the top. Mighty fine indeed.

Anyway on with todays bits: - Changed the layout and also using a blue colour as its easy on the ol eyes. Also found a nice pic that sums of the drunk in charge of the Lib Dems. Cant see why the Tories want to reach out to a bunch of failed SDP(remember them?) politicos still stuck in the middle with vauge and moonbat ideas half way between old Labour and Old Tory and appealing to no one.

Put a clock on the side and some other silly bits for no reason other than I had some time to kill.

Iraqi forces lead Operation Moonlight

AR RAMADI, Iraq – Soldiers from 1st Brigade, 1st Iraqi Army Division began Operation Alkamra Almaner (Moonlight) early this morning in western Al Anbar.

Iraqi Army soldiers from three Iraqi battalions are conducting a cordon and knock operation east of Ubaydi. The Iraqi soldiers are being supported by 3rd Battalion, 6th Marines, Regimental Combat Team-2 and 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing (Forward).

This is the first large-scale operation planned and executed by Iraqi soldiers of the 1st Brigade. The operation objective of Moonlight is to disrupt insurgent activity along the northern and southern banks of the Euphrates River near Ubaydi.

The eastern Al Qa’im region, to include the cities of Husaybah, Karabilah and Ubaydi were cleared of al Qaeda in Iraq-led insurgents during Operation Steel Curtain last month which enabled residents to vote in the Dec. 15 Iraqi National Elections.

Additional information will be provided as it becomes available.

Local residents aid in cache discoveries

TIKRIT, Iraq – Local citizens played a major role in the discovery of two weapons caches near Kirkuk Dec. 17.

A group of Iraqi citizens captured two suspected terrorists after observing the suspects digging up a cache. The men subdued the suspects and called the Kirkuk Joint Coordination Center, who relayed the information to a nearby patrol.

The combined Iraqi and U.S. patrol responded and secured more than 20 artillery rounds and detained the suspects for questioning.

Another group of Kirkuk residents flagged down a U.S. Air Force patrol and led them to a small cache. The Airmen found two mortar rounds, two rocket-propelled grenade warheads and several anti-aircraft artillery rounds. An explosive ordnance disposal team destroyed the weapons in a controlled detonation.

Major IED manufacturing cache discovered

TIKRIT, Iraq – A large cache of IED components was discovered by Soldiers from Task Force Band of Brothers, Dec. 15 near Hawijah.

A pair of scout helicopters from the 101st Airborne Division spotted several individuals behaving suspiciously and the pilots radioed the location to a nearby patrol from the Division’s 1st Brigade Combat Team.

The pilots’ instincts were confirmed when the patrol found a cache buried nearby in several 55 gallon drums.

The cache consisted of 414 two way radios, 48 circuit boards and more than 100 timing devices, all used as components in IED manufacturing. The cache also included small amounts of AK-47 ammunition, detonation cord, batteries and several bomb making manuals.

This is the second time in less than a month that 1st BCT has uncovered a major cache in its area. Soldiers discovered more than 4,200 mortar rounds in a single cache Nov. 27 near Kirkuk.

Airborne patrol detains suspects

TIKRIT, Iraq – Fifteen suspects were detained Dec. 17 at several locations near Tikrit as part of Operation Eagle Watch by Task Force troops.

The mission was conducted by Soldiers of the 101st Airborne Division’s 101st Combat Aviation Brigade, who were conducting an area recon near Forward Operating Base Speicher.

The Pathfinders, airborne aboard two UH-60 Blackhawk helicopters, observed the suspects at two separate sites and swooped in to investigate.

Several AK47 rifles, two sniper rifles, a RPK Soviet machinegun and hundreds of rounds were confiscated from the suspects, who were taken to a nearby detention facility for questioning.

KIRKUK, Iraq (Dec. 15, 2005) – Iraqis wait in lines outside one of the many polling stations downtown today. The elections mark one more step toward Iraq’s freedom. Here's a small video that I spotted on the Michael Yon site:

  • Getting away from Iraq for the moment, I have to comment on the gutless lying sack of shit that passes for our PM. Blair the closet makeup wearing fag has just landed the British taxpayer with another £1 billion a year bill to fund the charade that is the EU budget, a budget that the auditors wont even sign off. And aside from the UK getting a bit of fucking up the arse from the EU what do we get in return? He gets a 'promise' from the French that they will 'review' the CAP in three years time. Cue the review...

  • Chirac: “OK, so we are reviewing the CAP”
  • French Farmers: “Looks fine to us as it is”
  • Chirac: “OK, it’s reviewed, we kept our promise…”

re: mustshar.mpg (Quicktime format) ADDENDUM: Email the subhuman fiends who did it, if you like, here: Islamic Army in Iraq Email Form (first required field: name, second required field: email address) ** Found this on clarity & resolve. As he puts it: While we wring our hands in abject remorse and suffer a media blitzkrieg over Islamic terrorist prisoners being subjected to barking Belgian shepherd dogs, naked human pyramids, forced dress in women's underwear, or—oh, shame of shames—Koran abuse, the vile holy warriors do this (or worse) when they get their hands on us:

The next time you hear someone whining on about the war and how its all about US Neocons taking cheap oil and exploiting the middle east blah blah blah, remind them of that chap getting shot without any trial what so ever. Oh and if they start on about WMD - as leftys are wont to do, remind them that the left have also banged on about Iraq's WMD program:

"We have known for many years that Saddam Hussein is seeking and developing weapons of mass destruction... Saddam may well hide his most lethal weapons in mosques, schools and hospitals. If our forces attempt to strike such targets, untold numbers of Iraqi civilians could be killed."
