Seems that a Londonistan school has realised that teaching kids in an alien language is going to make it harder for them to integrate into our society: A school in London is to scrap its policy of teaching science to Turkish children in their ethnic language.

The new head teacher of White Hart Lane School in Tottenham says the system did little to improve results. About 400 of the school's pupils speak Turkish and those taking GCSE science had been given bi-lingual lessons.

At the time, the idea was praised by the then education minister Stephen Twigg. The new head seems to know her job: "The children should be proud of their heritage," she told the TES. "But these are young people growing up in London. We need to prepare them for work and life in London, so when they are in school they should communicate in English."

Make you wonder whats happening when 10 police turn up to arrest a postman for the dangerous offense of kissing someone on the cheek. Maybe the police have already had a memo from El Presidenta Blair on enforcing muslim law.....link to The Sun I hear he is going to be getting either 40 lashes of the whip or have his hand cut off!

Compare that harsh treatment to this- dhimmi state anyone? Muhammad Hussain, 26, who killed Levi Bleasdale, 3, while driving a stolen car, and on parole, was jailed by Burnley magistrates for 12 weeks. He could have faced six months. Levi’s grandfather said: “We’re appalled. Someone who stole a teddy from her memorial got eight months. The person who kills her gets just three.” Link to the Times

Australia begins to wake up and smell the stench of islamic hatred, me thinks it will be a long time before you here the dhimmi brigade in the Nu Labour camp speaking up against islamic oppression here in the UK:

PRIME Minister John Howard says he stands by his comments that sections of Australia's Muslim population are antagonistic to Australian culture.

Mr Howard's views are outlined in a book to mark the 10th anniversary of his rise to power written by journalists and commentators from The Australian newspaper.

In the book, the prime minister said a commitment to jihad and extreme attitudes towards women were two problems unique to Muslims that previous intakes of migrants from Europe and Asia did not have.

Mr Howard said today it was his "right and duty" to express his thoughts.

"I stand by those comments that there is a small section of the Islamic population in Australia that, because of its remarks about jihad, remarks which indicate an extremist view, that is a problem," Mr Howard told reporters in Sydney.

"It is not a problem that we have ever faced with other immigrant communities who become easily absorbed by Australia's mainstream."

John Bolton: Getting the job done inspite of the corrupt UN and its even more morally corrupt leader Koffing Anus...

UNITED NATIONS, Feb 20 (Reuters) - U.S. Ambassador John Bolton said on Monday he wanted a Security Council resolution on a future U.N. force in Sudan's Darfur region by the end of the month to give the operation "political impetus."

Bolton also chided the United Nations for not planning quickly enough for a U.N. force to take over from the African Union in Darfur in an effort to stop the killings, rape, plunder and homelessness in Sudan's western region.

And he suggested to reporters that Secretary-General Kofi Annan, who has pushed for U.S. and NATO contributions, also lobby Arab and African countries.

"It would be helpful, I think, if the secretary-general, in addition to prodding the U.S. could also be out there talking to the African Union and the Arab League, and in fact, even talking to his own peacekeepers about the importance of moving ahead here," Bolton said.

The cache consisted of 25 60 mm mortar rounds, nine 80 mm mortar rounds, five rockets, two rolls of detonation cord, two homemade rocket launchers, two 30 mm rounds and four license plates.

Iraqi Police induct more than 1,000 to their force

AL HILLA, Iraq – A formal ceremony with all the pomp and circumstance deserving of the occasion was the order of the day as Iraqi Police officials and local provincial leaders welcomed the newest “comrades in arms” here Feb 16.

The academy graduates, decked out in their finest, displayed their best drill and ceremony techniques for the audience as they took the parade field for the formal portion of the graduation ceremony.

More than 1,000 Iraqi Police were in formation, standing tall as several dignitaries praised their achievements and lauded their determination and courage in joining the ranks of such an elite force.

Speaking on behalf of the Babil Provincial Police was Brig. Gen. Qais Hamza, provincial police chief. He expounded on the accomplishments of those currently serving and the future success of those joining their team.

Maj. Gen. Joseph Peterson, Multi-National Security Transition Command – Iraq, commended the courage of the newest officers and their dedication in keeping the province safe from terrorist activity and moving the region toward stability.

Approximately 50 Iraqi Policemen were awarded distinguished honor graduate certificates for their exceptional performance during the training. Quais, Peterson and Col. John Tully, commander, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division, shared the honor of personally awarding the certificates and congratulating the security officers.

A demonstration took place on the parade field following the ceremony in which an Iraqi Police bus, sirens blaring, entered the area followed by several law enforcement vehicles loaded with seasoned policemen. As the vehicles slowed to a stop, the officers jumped from the vehicles and raced to the bus. They swiftly secured the area, using distinct tactical formations learned at the academy and cleared the bus of role-playing suspects.

Once they had the “terrorists” face-down on the ground and their hands secured behind their backs, they were escorted to the waiting security trucks and whisked them away to face justice.

The demonstration achieved its purpose: to showcase the skills taught at the academy and portray a potential real-life situation. “It was very impressive and smoothly executed, a good combination of their tactical proficiency and road experience,” said Tully.

The day ended with a tour for the guests through the Hall of History which opened last month. Peterson marked the event by signing the guest book as dignitaries and Iraqi Police leadership thanked him for his attendance and support of the force.

Iraqi, U.S. Soldiers work together to unify Iraq

TAJI, Iraq - Dubbed Operation Arch Angel, Soldiers from the 9th Iraqi Army Division and 1st Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division, teamed up to search a suspected illegal arms dealer’s house in a local neighborhood near Taji Feb. 5.

Even though the operation netted only two suspects for further questioning and a small amount of AK-47 rifles, Operation Arch Angel was the perfect opportunity for the Iraqis and the Americans to hone their skills in their combined effort to fight the Global War on Terrorism.

“I like working with the American Army, and I’m learning a lot,” said Akeel Kadum, an Iraqi special forces soldier, a recent recruit who has been in the Iraqi army for six months. “We work with the Americans every day doing what we learned in basic training. It’s a hard job, but I will stay in the Iraqi army until we (Iraq) are able to defend our country.”

The 1st BCT is working closely with soldiers of the 9th IA Div. to teach, coach and mentor them. The Taji-based Iraqi division is composed of three heavy tank brigades, each consisting of almost 4,000 soldiers.

Two of the brigades are already patrolling the area, fighting Anti-Iraqi Forces and detaining suspected criminals either by themselves or with some Coalition Forces backing. The third brigade is scheduled to be fully operational in the next couple of months after Iraqi cadets complete basic training to fill the ranks.

The goal of the 1st BCT is to have the 9th IA Div. fully functional and taking control of the 1st BCT battle space. To accomplish this goal, the Iraqi’s are taking the lead in every operation. In addition, military transition teams are assigned to work hand-in-hand with the Iraqis to mentor key leaders within the Iraqi command group staff.

Operations such as this allow the Iraqi army to take the lead while the U.S. slowly takes a step back putting an Iraqi face on every operation. This is a new concept and quite a change to many of the American Soldiers, who are now on their second tour of duty in Iraq.

“There are a lot of changes this time around,” said Sgt. Scott Drzewiecki, gunner with Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 1st Battalion, 66th Armored Regiment, 1st BCT, who is in his second tour in Iraq. “There is a lot more Iraqi army, and the police are out more.

“Overall, I’ve seen a lot of positive things out of the Iraqi army,” Drzewiecki said who hails from Michigan City, Ind. “It’s a slow process, but they are going to get there.”

”It’s a lot better over here than the first time,” agreed Spc. Michael Gibson, a mortarman with HHC, 1st Bn., 66th AR. “Now, the Iraqi army and the police are starting to take control of their country.”

Not only do the American Soldiers have high hopes for the future of Iraq, but Iraqi soldiers think their country is getting better.

“I think Iraq and the Iraqi army is getting much better,” said Kadum. “It is a lot better than when Saddam was in charge.”
