BNP Pair Free- Common Sense At Last

** Well the show trial is over. The BNP pair walked free from court today.

The jury was discharged after failing to reach verdicts on the remaining charges - four against Mr Collett and two against Mr Griffin.

Mr Griffin, 44, and Mr Collett, 24, had denied using words intended to stir up hatred in West Yorkshire in 2004. Mr Griffin said the verdicts were a "tremendous victory for freedom".

Their six speeches were filmed by an undercover BBC journalist for a documentary on the BNP. He said: "This evening, millions of people in Britain will be holding their heads a little higher and walking a little taller.

Posted by Picasa"The Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) will now have to go and decide whether they want to do it all over again. "If the CPS feel they must continue to persecute us simply for telling the truth then we will see them in court."

Mr Griffin, of Llanerfyl, Powys, had denied two charges of using words or behaviour intended to stir up racial hatred and two alternative charges of using words or behaviour likely to stir up racial hatred.

He was acquitted of one of both charges in relation to one speech, but the jury failed to reach a verdict in respect to a second speech in which he called Islam a "wicked vicious faith".

Mr Collett, of Rothley, Leicestershire, denied eight similar charges.

The four charges he was acquitted of related to speeches made at The Royal pub in Pudsey and another at the Falconer's Rest pub in Morley, in which he described asylum seekers as "a little bit like cockroaches".

The jury failed to reach a verdict in relation to two other speeches, in one of which Mr Collett said "let's show these ethnics the door in 2004".

During the two-week trial, the defendants told the jury they were engaging in legitimate political dialogue about issues which concern ordinary working people.

Update (3rd Feb 06) Libertarian Alliance calls on the British Government to repeal all laws against racial hatred and racial discrimination. Dr Sean Gabb, Director of the Libertarian Alliance, comments: "The rights to freedom of speech and association are fundamental to a free society. So far as these rights are diminished, that society becomes less free. I was born in a country where these rights had been enjoyed for centuries. I have reached middle age in a politically correct police state where the Government is now trying to silence its opponents through the courts. Particularly under Tony Blair, this country has become a more genteel version of Zimbabwe.

"Doubtless, there are people who take offence at the expression of certain views on race and immigration. But free speech that does not include the right to give offence is not free speech. It is the political equivalent of decaffeinated coffee.

"If people are upset by what they read or hear, let them ignore it or argue against it. There is no place in these debates for the Thought Police." The Libertarian Alliance believes:
  • * That the Race Relations Act 1976 should be repealed;
  • * That the Race Relations Amendment Act 2000 should be repealed;
  • * That, pending repeal, the Race Regulations subsequent to these Acts should be withdrawn;
  • * That those sections of the Public Order Act 1986 dealing with speech and publication should be repealed;
  • * That those sections of the Criminal Justice Act 1998 dealing with "racial aggravation" of offences should be repealed;
  • * That the Commission for Racial Equality and all similar organisations should be abolished, and their records burned;
  • * That all those convicted of thought crimes under the above laws should be pardoned and, where appropriate, compensated;
  • * That the Racial and Religious Hatred Bill now before Parliament should be abandoned;
  • * That the Human Rights Act 1998 should be amended to protect the right of people to say anything they like about public issues, and to associate or not associate as they please.
I for one am glad that the case fell apart and that common sense has been done in that free speech can be broadcast in the UK, despite the politican leanings of the rampant left who seem to be all pervasive these days. Compare this case with the BBC sneaking in to film the BNP against the ongoing saga of Abu Hamza and all the other islamic scholars of hate.

Hamza turns around and aside from spouting bile against the jews, and supporting terror around the globe - the US would like to have a chat with him about that once our trial in the UK is over - says that his adopted nation is like living in a toilet. Yet he was happy to stay here hiding behind our protection, which is strange as he hates all us "kafir" with a passion. Still what can we expect from a man whos rat of a son was jailed in Yemen for terrorism (Yemen like the US would also like to speak to Hamza about terror but the UK wont send him there as our government claims he wont get a fair trial, yet we put our own taxpayers through the expense of trying his lard ass), guess hate must run in that family. In the words of the untermenchen Abu Hamza itself:

Bin Laden is a good guy. Everyone likes him in the Muslim world, there is nothing wrong with the man and his beliefs
Abu Hamza
Many people will be happy, jumping up and down [after September 11]. America is a crazy superpower and what was done was done in self-defence
Abu Hamza

Oh and who could forget his gloating over the space shuttle Columbia disaster being a sign from god: "These missions would increase the number of satellites for military purposes. It would increase the slavery of governance of other countries by America. It is a punishment from God. Muslims see it that way. It is a trinity of evil because it carried Americans, an Israeli and a Hindu, a trinity of evil against Islam. The fact that the motor of the craft fell on Palestine - all these are messages from God. It is a strong message, for the Israeli, to be taken up there to space and he spoke about the Holocaust, to try to make religious advancement from it and gain some moral high ground, hence you have seen this message over Palestine."

- Ok talking of hypocracy get this Posted by Picasa a pic of Mohammed(praise be his name and all that jazz) as done by some muslim artist.

Lets face it most people in the UK agree on the following:
  • that migration is out of control
  • the media is biased in favour of migrants
  • crime commited by minorities is handled with kid gloves
  • anyone speaking out is tarred with the race brush
  • free speech is fine - so long as it favours the left

In there own words, what the BNP pair said outside court:
I thank them for coming and point out the clear contrast between them and the hate-filled workshy rabble across the street. I go on to say that the prosecution now cannot win: "Either we walk free, and millions of people will hold their heads a little higher and feel a little more free to speak their minds, or we are jailed, and millions of people will be utterly disgusted by the fact that we are sent to prison simply for telling the truth."

Mark and I shake hands with those of our supporters we can reach through the barriers and the hubbub, then we head back into the court and our long wait for the tannoy message which will call "All parties in the case of Collett and Griffin to court number 10".

Depending on what happens then, I may or may not have more to say in a final blog. Either way, it certainly won't be the last you hear from me.

Great news for free speech. I think the BBC have done more to help publicise the BNP than they would have liked.

I confess to borrowing from you the other day and cross posting btw. On the Gordon Brown stuff. Many thanks! :)

No worries, best thing the left could have done to raise the BNP profile was to take them to court.

Ah yes ol One Eye Cyclops Brown, the most evil man is this corrupt Govt. God help us if he ever becomes PM.
