Eight terrorists killed in Hamaniyah
BAGHDAD, Iraq – In search of locations for bomb making and storage, Coalition forces killed eight terrorists during a raid April 9 approximately 22 kilometers northwest of Baghdad in the vicinity of Hamaniyah. As the Coalition forces ordered occupants to exit an identified safehouse and nearby tent, two suspects ran from the tent. At least one suspect was armed, and both moved to take fire positions. The Coalition forces engaged the two and then received automatic and small arms fire from the north and south.
The troops engaged and killed five terrorists in the tent. The ground force commander simultaneously called for close air support to neutralize the machine gun fire emanating from the northwest of his position. Three terrorists were killed in the ensuing air strike.
The troops then ordered the occupants to come out of the safehouse, but entered forcibly when none complied. The forces found improvised explosive devices and weapons, and detained two suspects.
One woman was injured during the entry, was treated on-site and medically evacuated to the 10th Combat Support Hospital for further treatment and evaluation. The details of her injury are unknown at this time but the treating physician has listed her in stable condition as of 4:15 a.m.
Numerous weapons, ammunition, and falsified documents were found in the targeted safehouse and the nearby tent.

IED laid to rest
KIRKUK, Iraq – Bastogne Soldiers of the 1st Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division discovered an improvised explosive device placed in a village graveyard near Kirkuk April 8.
While Iraqi police cordoned off the graveyard, Soldiers from 2nd Battalion, 327th Infantry Regiment searched for the reported IED. A quick search of the site revealed a 122mm projectile rigged to detonate.
This is the second time this week IEDs have been placed in the graveyard. April 6, an IED detonated destroying one of the structures in the graveyard.
“Insurgents trying to disrupt progress and democracy in Iraq do not care who or what they destroy in their attacks; their only goal is chaos,” said Major Greg Bishop, spokesman for the 1st BCT. “The good news is that IED attacks in Kirkuk have dropped nearly 15-percent since the December national elections.”

No slack for insurgent cell leaders
KIRKUK, Iraq – Bastogne Soldiers of the 1st Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division captured two suspected terror cell leaders, along with eight other alleged insurgents, during combined cordon and search missions with an Iraqi Police Emergency Services Unit in Kirkuk April 7.
Soldiers from 2nd Battalion, 327th Infantry Regiment (the “No Slack” battalion) of the 1st BCT provided oversight as police searched two homes belonging to a suspected Islamic Army cell leader wanted in connection with a plot to kidnap a project manager for an environmental corporation working in the region. The reported cell leader and six other individuals present in the homes at the time were detained and are being questioned by the Iraqi Police.
A short time after this successful operation, “No Slack” Soldiers and the ESU detained three Arab males during a cordon and search of two more houses. One of the three detainees is suspected of being the leader of a terror cell responsible for infrastructure attacks in and around Kirkuk. These detainees were taken to a nearby U.S. military compound for questioning.
In addition to the two suspected cell leaders, Bastogne Soldiers, working alongside Iraqi Security Forces, have captured 60 terror suspects in the past three days, including a terrorist who has been financing and leading infrastructure attacks in Riyadh, southwest of Kirkuk.

Zarqawi, Al Qaeda in Iraq real threats to Iraq’s security and stability
BAGHDAD, Iraq – The following statement from Maj. Gen. Rick Lynch, MNF-I spokesman has been released:
“A recent article citing a military briefing from 2004 has called into question the threat that Abu Musab Zarqawi and Al Qaeda in Iraq pose to Iraq, dismissing it as ‘propaganda’ – nothing could be further from the truth.
“AMZ and Al Qaeda in Iraq have openly declared war on the democratic process in Iraq and are responsible for the overwhelming majority of suicide attacks against the people of Iraq – a tactic developed and honed by him.
“Statements made by AMZ and his organization over the past year attest to the threat and the indiscriminate nature of his attacks. He has called for foreign fighters to come to Iraq and join the jihad; stated that in order to kill infidels it is acceptable to kill women and children in the attacks; declared ‘all-out’ war against the Shia and told other religious and tribal groups to join his anti-government cause or face attacks; and has called for increased attacks during Ramadan in order to secure victory and to establish a Muslim nation in Iraq.
“As we have always stated, while AMZ and Al Qaeda in Iraq do represent a relatively small portion of the overall insurgency, their impact has been ruthlessly devastating. The terrorists and foreign fighters that he recruits, trains and equips carry out more than 90 percent of the insidious suicide attacks against the men, women and children of Iraq – attacks that have killed or injured thousands of Iraqis in the last year alone.
“In a letter from Usama Bin Laden’s deputy, Ayman al-Zawahiri, to AMZ the goals of Al Qaeda were outlined clearly: Through the use of Iraq for their own purposes, Al Qaeda wants to become the dominant influencing power throughout the region.
“Make no mistake, AMZ and Al Qaeda in Iraq are real threats to the citizens, security and stability of Iraq and we continue to conduct aggressive operations to eliminate the threat they pose not only to Iraq, but also to the rest of the region.”
Additionally, the U.S. government continues to offer up to a $25 million reward for information leading to the capture of Abu Musab Zarqawi.

**Finally in Nu Labours Britain a high court judge has decided that going after sham weddings is breaching the human rights of economic migrants who want an easy life on benefits in the UK. Never mind the human rights of the tax payers who have to pay for their life of ease at our expense. Part of the reason was that it effectively labeled some illegal migrants as fraudsters.
Even more sickening than that is the total non coverage of the state of the UK economy after Gordon "cyclops" Brown has pissed away some 8billion pounds plus on corrupt governments in Africa over the next ten years.
The one eye'd one has decided that educating Africas children is not down to Africa but is now our responsibility, after all according to the left we are some how responsible for all the worlds ills and therefore have to pay to put those problems right.
Nothing like a bit of soundbite politics and a photo shoot with "reformed" terrorist Nelson Mandela. You can tell he has his eye on No.10 and we are the ones who are going to pay. To the tune of 8.5billion.
Mind you it could be worse, rather than just doleing out the money we could really fuck things up for the African nations and send them some teachers from the UK to "help" educate their youngsters.
