Tough on crime?

Anyone remember the lying PM bleating on about his being "Tough on Crime, tough on the causes of"...blah blah and so on and so forth.

Well it may be a case of stating the bleeding obvious but just how is Blair going to be tough on crime and the causes thereof when his government and the honour giving pigs therein are axeing the numbers of police?

Maybe he is diverting the money to community outreach workers and the like, after all this inept bunch of spivs have hugged far more hoodies in the years in power than Cameron ever could. Although they could always forget the large pay rise that MP's will no doubt soon be getting, donate the money to the policing of the UK, but of course I jest the pigs in power give some extra money dont make me laugh. After all should you or I be killed they care not a jot, oh and dont forget the mantra...

IT WOULD BE WORSE UNDER THE TORIES(ANY OTHER PARTY) - repeat until brainwashed by Zanu New Labour.

Oh any MP who thinks he/she is worth the extra money, please let me know(wont be holding my breath on that one.)

Anyway report below:

West Yorkshire Police may have to axe up to 200 full time police officer jobs after the loss of a £30million government grant. The police authority is examining ways to balance its budget and one possible outcome is that jobs currently performed by police officers would be given to civilian staff who would be cheaper to employ.

West Yorkshire Police is to lose almost £14.8million in 2006-7 and £15.1million in the following financial year. The level of government grant funding in West Yorkshire has changed from being the third lowest in a Metropolitan area, to being the lowest.

Every job carried out by West Yorkshire's 5,700 police officers is being examined to see which one could be carried out instead by civilian staff. Jobs which could be undertaken by civilians include some cell-related jobs, answering emergency calls and working in the training department.

West Yorkshire is also to get fewer Police Community Support Officers than previously hoped. This is also owing to a cut in government funding, and will see 60-70 fewer PCSOs patrolling the streets than had been originally anticipated.
