Dial/Yes Loans - The Ongoing Saga.

Some more on the dubious loan company Yes Loans, which is based at the Dial call centre in Cwmbran, South Wales. Oh and did I forget to mention that the chap who runs it is a disqualified director by the name of Keith Wilmot (he hates be called that by all accounts) Chorlton.

Talking of accounts still no sign of theres being filed as yet, seems that it is worth talking the fine for late accounts rather than pay a stonking big tax bill. Still my mails to both the DTI over Mr Chorlton running a company whilst disqualified from doing so and my call to the tax people should get the ball moving on that score.

**update: Someone called anonymous left this comment which made me laugh:

i currentley work for yes loans and i think it is a reputible company who have no illegal practices. Kieth Chorlton is not the owner of the company but an advisor TOO the company. If you look at statistics of other loan firms they have just as bad press as yes loans.....

Ok lets have a closer look shall we? In the "exam" I and others took when we joined Yes Loans and other tied companies one of the questions was and I quote: Name the two owners of the company, and one of the answers was "Keith Chorlton, the other owner at that point has since left.

So Keith is just an advisor is he? An adviser who has the power to sack staff? Yeah I have seen him do that, oh and he uses that advisor title as a cover due to his not being able to declare himself a director, a case of if it walks like a duck, quacks then it is a duck. Infact The Mirror even stated in there article the following: The second thing you need to know is that Yes Loans is owned by Keith Chorlton, who is currently serving a 10-year ban on acting as a company director.

Again quoting the Mirror here Chorlton says that he is a shareholder, he is not "a" shareholder - he is the sole shareholder of Yes Loans.

On the illegal practises, well lets see. Not advising of apr to customers - unless they ask at which point they get a lot of runaround, transferring to internal departments when customers think they are being referred to an outside company, not being told that they are not getting a loan but are just a client of Yes Loans.

Sure other companies have bad press, although not that many get a nice big piece in the Mirror. Oh and other loan companies return there paperwork in time to companies house, something that the "advisor" has forgotten to advise the company to do.
