Asbo aged 10 - Lewis Green.

Feral rat child 10 gets an asbo.

A boy, aged just 10 has become the youngest ever to be given an Asbo. Lewis Green has already got criminal convictions for burglary, possessing a knife and causing criminal damage.

A court allowed him to be identified yesterday while issuing one of the most far-reaching Asbos to a juvenile. It includes a night-time curfew and ban on communicating with six people who live near him.

He is banned from possessing a "bong" - a water pipe - and other items associated with drugs, having alcohol or being drunk, throwing stones or eggs and possessing a knife or screwdriver in public. What an absolute charmer this child must be, a delight to all who know him. One would assume that parents would do their best to ensure their delightful oppspring did not have sharp objects about his person, kept alcohol away from his greedy hands and confiscated any bongs etc that they found.

Barnsley borough council produced a catalogue of his misdemeanours over seven months in its application for a full Asbo against him. Looking at this list the phrase misdemeanours is a tad mild don't you think?

They included threatening a child with a knife, theft, buying cannabis and being persistently abusive. He also damaged cars, threatened neighbours, smashed fences and assaulted his family and stole his mother's mobile phone, his father's Playstation and his grandfather's car stereo to feed his habits. He regularly stole cigarettes and drank alcohol. Why did they not act faster? One would think that theft alone would be grounds enough for an asbo, mind you a spell inside would do wonders for this little ray of sunshine.

Granting the order, District Judge Nalla Lawrence said the purpose was not necessarily to punish the boy, but "to protect the people living nearby who have suffered anti-social behaviour at the hands of Lewis". - I am sure that his neighbours will be so happy that this little thug is back on streets again.

During the hearing the boy fell asleep on a bench in front of the judge and afterwards was seen smoking a cigarette outside the building. Now aside from pointing out the fact that he is underage and therefore should not be smoking, his family sees no problem with him puffing away outside the courts. It does make one wonder quite how this delightful child was allowed to run riot. Mind you they let him fall asleep in front of the judge, that speaks volumes in of itself. Had that been me I would have jailed the little sod for contempt.

His mother Stephanie, Green, 39, a cleaner, said outside court that she disagreed with the decision to "name and shame him". "I didn't really want an Asbo for him. Since he was put on an anger management drug three months ago he has not got into any trouble. Well thats all ok then, never mind the rest of society your unhappy that your precious little darling has been labeled a thug. At least now his neighbours and everyone else knows what a little shit he is.

"He attends his special school, stays in and doesn't mix any more with older boys who were dragging him into mischief. He doesn't shout, scream or bawl any more or smash things up." - Well gee thats just so fine, I am sure he will now be a model citizen. A pride to the whole nation.

Mrs Green is concerned that the Asbo could make things worse if he is now goaded by older children who, she says, have led him into trouble. She said it would also put pressure on her and husband Derek, 37, a lorry driver. Oh of course, its always someone elses fault. Forgot that we are not allowed to take resonsibility for our own actions any more.

A consultant child and adolescent psychologist diagnosed Lewis with a mild form of Asperger's syndrome and suggested an anti-psychotic drug might help. Ah yes always got to have some syndrome or other, after all the buck has to be passed in todays society. Yep always got to have some beard wearing, Guardian reading psychologist to pick a syndrome out of a hat. How about this, he is a feral rat child in need of a bloody good slapping down. As for drugs well seems our little charmer has done quite enough of them, although that said I am sure some sedative to knock the brat out would not go amiss.

Mrs Green, from Kexbrough, near Barnsley, South Yorks, who has a well-behaved daughter Kelly, 12, said: "I believe he was getting better without this order. I don't agree with naming and shaming kids as young as Lewis. I just wanted help for him and now he's on medication it is making a big difference." - You allowed him to get to that stage, deal with it.

Mrs Green added: "I do feel guilty because I feel as though it is me to blame. I have tried to give Lewis a good upbringing and my husband has pulled him off the streets to avoid trouble but nothing has worked." - How about a slap? Grounding the little bastard or just a slap. Showing him that actions have an effect on his life might be a start. Go on slap the little scrote.

Patricia Lewington, 61, his grandmother, said: "Lewis is not just running wild. We knew there was something medically wrong with him. Yes he is a thug that is what is wrong with him, you ignored it rather than belting the crap out of him.

"He's not doing drink and drugs any more and just enjoys the odd cigarette, but that's about it. It is the older boys in the neighbourhood who keep pestering him, we want them to keep away." - The odd ciggy? Bloody hell the woman can not even see the basic problem, he smokes and has no clear line defining what adults do and what children do.

He has previously been excluded from special education units designed for badly behaved children. Under the Asbo he is banned from a local high school and subject to a 9pm to 6am curfew unless accompanied by a designated adult. - I give this feral animal/child about a week, a month tops and he will be hauled up before the courts again for breaking said asbo. Sad thing is we can see his whole life story running something like this, 1.asbo 2. more asbos 3.juvinine court 4. remand 5.prison 6.dole and so on and so forth.

The whole sorry saga can be summed up by his gran who said:

“He’s not doing drink and drugs any more. He just enjoys the odd cigarette, but that’s about it.”

Sounds like the kid climbed out of a bad gene pool; lack of discipline didn't help. You raise a kid like an animal, that's what you get.

Agree on that one Bob, just a matter of time before rat boy turns up before the justice again and again and again.
