SEOUL, South Korea (CNN) -- North Korea test-fired several missiles Thursday, but it is unclear what kind or how many, South Korea's defense minister told CNN.
A South Korean intelligence official told the Yonhap News Agency the missiles were short-range which, according to the U.S. State Department, have an approximate range between 90 and 500 miles (150-800km).
North Korea conducted similar tests two weeks ago, which U.S. envoy Christopher Hill noted "is not unusual."
"From time to time, their military tests these short range missiles," Hill told reporters on May 25.
"It is obviously not anything that is ever going to contribute to their security, and we would prefer they spend their time figuring out how to denuclearize and how to join the international community. But this is not unusual."
Hill is the chief U.S. negotiator for talks on North Korea's nuclear program.
**They run death camps(Camp 22), fail to feed their own people instead they let the inept UN do that for them, kidnap citizens from nearby nations and break each and every international law and still the politicians from Europe and elsewhere fail to realise that be aproaching them for "peace talks" they are pandering to a mad dictator. In all the talks -official and otherwise - DNK has given nothing of any worth, yet issued demand after demand often using its own starving people as little more than chips at the table.

Even religion is just allowed as a showcase to the West: Defectors who escape cite instances of execution of individuals involved with the Bible smuggling. In Pyongyang there are three Christian churches that were built to showcase religious freedom where foreigners can attend religious services; many report that the sermons mix political and religious messages glorifying North Korea, and that some of the pastors seem to have had no religious training or even any interest in theology.
