Think the CRE is not rascist? Well lets see a white man who reads the Daily Mail be employed by them. From the BBC webshite(another new age anti white, anti Jewish/anti American site):
Complaints about Tintin and the Congo have led to Borders and Waterstones moving it to their adult section.
A spokeswoman said the book contained "words of hideous racial prejudice, where the 'savage natives' look like monkeys and talk like imbeciles".
Borders said they are committed to let their "customers make the choice".The store's spokesman added: "Naturally, some of the thousands of books and music selections we carry could be considered controversial or objectionable depending on individual political views, tastes and interests."
A Waterstones spokesman said: "We have reviewed the title's situation and are moving it away from the other Tintin titles into the graphic novel section."
In Britain, Tintin In The Congo was for decades excluded from reprints because of its content. The book became so synonymous with racism that when a Belgian foreign minister made critical remarks about the Democratic Republic of Congo's government in 2004, a spokesman replied: "It's Tintin In The Congo all over again."
The publisher Egmont issued a colour version of the book in Britain in 2005, but included a foreword which tried to explain the colonial attitudes prevalent at the time it was written.
Ann Widdecombe, the Conservative MP, said it was "ludicrous" for the CRE to try to ban a 75-year-old book and claimed its outburst would damage the watchdog's reputation. "I understand the view that it shouldn't be on sale to children but the publishers have taken care of that.
"It brings the CRE into disrepute - there are many more serious things for them to worry about."
- Like justifying their huge saleries at the taxpayers expense for a start. It is such a shame that Alan Clarke MP is dead, as I am sure he would have quite a few remarks about oversensitive types coming off the bananna boat from Bongoland...
**Another bunch of publicly funded bastards who seek to remove anything that they dislike, and that is the point here. They see offense in a book, maybe they are closer to the book burners of Nazi Germania than they care to admit.
You can get your very own copy of Tintin in the Congo here (UK) or here (US) (I notice that Amazon in the USA wimped out and did not show the cover illustration).
