9/11 Its America's fault - according to the BBC

**Update - the BBC webpage with this information on is down at this moment in time. I think that the BBC are doing a re-write, something that they do quite often.

From stop the ACLU site...all change at the BBC.

I need to update everyone on the power of blogs. If so many blogs and blog readers would not have exposed this, British children would still be learning a rewritten version of history. The BBC has taken down the original quoted page that implied 911 was America’s fault. It is rare that media outlets are so prompt in their self corrections. I am sure that blogs and blog readers were a huge part of making that happen. After all, the earlier reported quote had been there since 2001. Nothing mentioning the correction was posted, but a much more acceptable narrative of facts has replaced it.

One reader reports their email to the BBC and the response.

Dear Mr O’Connell

Thank you for your email to Newsround. The article you are referring to
is an old guide that we thought had been purged from our system.
It is my understanding that it was written on the day of the attacks
back in 2001. I agree that it is inappropriate and it is now being taken
off the site.

In addition to this, I have asked staff to do a thorough search to
ensure the guides that remain online are accurate and objective.

I am genuinely sorry that this article has appeared and that it has
caused offence,

Best wishes,

Hooray for fact checking blogs!

The following is from the CBBC Newsround site aimed at children here in the UK:

The way America has got involved in conflicts in regions like the Middle East has made some people very angry, including a group called al-Qaeda - who are widely thought to have been behind the attacks.

In the past, al-Qaeda leaders have declared a holy war - called a jihad - against the US. As part of this jihad, al-Qaeda members believe attacking US targets is something they should do.

When the attacks happened in 2001, there were a number of US troops in a country called Saudi Arabia, and the leader of al-Qaeda, Osama Bin Laden, said he wanted them to leave.

**WTF? The way America got involved...made some people very angry...a group called...believe attacking US targets is something they should do. Can you believe the terms used by these history revisionist wankers? They pussyfoot around the deaths of nearly 3000 people, without a single bad thing to say about the Al Quada group. What ever next?

Maybe next week the BBC hire Omar Bakri to explain why Christians & Jews are the sons of Apes & Pigs. And we here in the UK have to pay for this shit through our licence fee!
**Needless to say I am annoyed and shall be covering this some more tomorrow.

I shall quote this site Stop the ACLU who describe this dire propaganda for the moslem terrorist scum:
That's right! It is the U.S. fault! We offended the world! Read the whole thing and watch your blood boil. Not a single word condemning Al Qeada in the whole thing. In fact it defends them in non judgemental terms. As your blood pressure rises keep in mind this is aimed towards children. Hopefully your head doesn’t explode!A little tune on the license tax.http://homepage.ntlworld.com/seb.hunt/
