MP'S - 91 days holiday a year - All paid for the taxpayers.

MPs caused outrage last night after awarding themselves a staggering 91 DAYS holiday a year.

Members will have 18 weeks off – around four times more than the average worker.

Even Gordon Brown joined the condemnation after the announcement by Commons leader Harriet Harman.

One ally of the PM said: “Gordon has not had 90 days holiday in his life, let alone in one year.

He will take a very dim view of this. MPs had around 80 days holiday this year.

But under the new plans holidays will include 53 days plus weekends away from Parliament next summer, along with 13 days at Christmas and 13 days at Easter.

Taxpayers’ Alliance chief executive Matthew Elliott said: “If MPs spent longer in the House, there would be less badly-drafted legislation."

Consider the fact that some 70% + of legislation now comes throught the EU in one form or another, if anyhting they should be docked about 70% of their pay! Not getting more perks.
