A flying pig story methinks....
from News.com.au
THE mastermind of the first terrorist attack on New York's World Trade Centre claims to have converted from Islam to Christianity.Ramzi Yousef, a self-proclaimed Muslim extremist with past links to al-Qaeda, plotted with others to blow up the twin towers in lower Manhattan. Six people died in the February 26, 1993, bombing.
Yousef was sentenced to life in prison plus 240 years for the New York bombing and another on a Philippines Airlines plane in 1994 in which a Japanese man died.
A report to be broadcast on 60 Minutes in the US this weekend claims Yousef has now converted to Christianity but the former warden of the supermax prison in Colorado has scoffed at the claims....
Robert Hood, its warden from 2002 to 2005, told 60 Minutes Yousef was a special case.
He never left his cell because he did not want to face the indignity of a strip search required for recreation, he said.
When told that Yousef had begun leaving his cell and now claimed to be a Christian, Mr Hood said: "He's playing a game with someone. If he's doing that, he's doing it for the reaction ... he is the real deal.
As a Muslim, Yousef prayed almost every hour, Mr Hood said.
**And here is the flying pig...

I think I can explain this chap's actions and motives ...
Do you remember when the russians were fighting the "mujahaddin" in afghanistan.
One news report from a BBC journalist showed a bunch of these gun-totin' islamists proudly showing off their latest "convert to islam", a kid of little more than twenty, the lone survivor from a tank crew "taken out" by them - probbaly with anti tank weapons supplied by uncle sam.
Now, I ask you to picture yourself as a kid in the 1980's russian army. Your tank is disabled and your pals are shredded to bits inside the tank by flying shrapnel in front of your eyes.
As they come for you, knives in hand, do you yell "Die You Scum" or "STOP !! Tell me about this bloke Mohammed" ?
Would that he had converted, alas I see a criminal who most likely thinks that it will be of use to claim his "new faith" when he comes up for parole.
Ramzi Yousef has gone from being a hero in the Muslim world to worse than death, the ultimate traitor. No exercise privileges or parole chances are worth making such a claim to conversion. Will his conversion stick under the avalanche of opprobrium from his formerly fellow Muslims, both radical and moderate, that will come his way? That will be a miracle.
If true this is an answer to some of my prayers.
As one who's passionate about serving God and my country, I can't help speculating that "but for the grace of God there go I." What would I be like had I been born and indoctrinated in a place like Saudi Arabia or Gaza?
Another thought. If all the prayers for soldiers were answered would the war on terrorism end? What if God answered all the prayers for terrorists? I've started a blog about starting a prayer initiative at prayfat.wordpress.com .
