Two thousand years ago Jesus Christ threw the money lenders out of the temple. According to Peter Hain, Jesus like St Peter of Slushfund did, should have asked the moneylenders to stump up £5000.

He now faces a full-scale sleaze inquiry from John Lyon, Westminster's Standards Commissioner, who yesterday acknowledged that the minister had "a case to answer".
As for the 'Progressive Policy Forum' a think-tank/slush fund so obscure that it appears to have no website, no publications, in fact nothing other than a mafia style money laundering front for Mr Hain. Maybe he did learn something in South Africa that he could bring to British politics.
