Harriet Harman - Not really understanding our pain.

First up we have this gem:

The leader of the House has defended the Commons' decision to contest a freedom of information ruling on MPs' expenses.

Harriet Harman said on Sunday that the abortive £150,000 attempt to keep their expenses secret was "worth the money".

The cabinet minister, who sits on Parliament's members' estimates committee, told BBC1's Politics Show that it was right to defend the principle of privacy for personal details such as MPs' addresses.

However following a High Court defeat on Friday, she refused to say whether the Commons would spend tens of thousands of pounds more on a further appeal..

Right, she really is not getting the reason that people are angry with the government, so I shall explain it to her very simply.

1. She is an MP, that is a public servant.
2. She is appointed by the people, see point 1.
3. Her wages and expenses are paid by us, see 1 and 2.
4. On top of what MP's including the worthless cunt who is Lib Dem leader Nick Clegg fritters away on his second home, our Harman has now spend another £150K on trying to stop us - her employers if you will - from seeing what the employees(MP's) are taking from our pockets. All the guff about security on MP's addresses is smoke and mirrors. What they don't want us to know is who has been spending our money like water and they know that we will be getting rather angry as details come out.

5. If an MP is that concerned about people not knowing the monies spent on second homes, then spend their ow wages, the wages that we give them for doing the job as an MP. Not stick the grasping paw into the pockets of the people and do up their kitchen, as per Mr Clegg.

Harman attempts to defend the pissing away of public funds with this:

"The judgment is quite a long and detailed one and we'll have to look at it and take legal advice," she said.

"But I think it was worth that money to actually put forward the argument to the court that there is a security issue here.

"In what other walk of life... I mean, police chiefs don't have their addresses, where they're living in the papers."

Okay police chiefs dont have their addresses listed, but they buy their homes out of the monies that they are paid as a wage. Unlike one group of which Harman is a member in more than one meaning of the word...

In short Harman shows that she is just as out of date, out of touch and living so far from the normal voters who shall hopefully cast her down come the next election as her beloved one eye'd leader.
