Gordon Brown - Knife Crime.

Yes the Bottler has scuttled out of his bunker, or had a lackey issue a statement before scutting back inside:

The Prime Minister has said the age that teenagers are prosecuted for carrying knives should be cut to 16.

After a series of stabbings across the country, Mr Brown said the carrying of knives was "unacceptable" and promised to do everything in the Government's power to deter it.

But Gordon, you have had over ten sodding years to get tough on crime. How many initiatives, plans, programs are you going to announce before quietly scrapping them?

Labour's David Kidney (Stafford) raised the issue at Commons question time, saying: "The tragic killings from stabbings are causing concern everywhere in the country.

"Will you accept that alongside tough laws on possession and use it's also important to take action with families, schools and communities to tackle a culture that allows some people to think it is acceptable to carry a weapon."

Mr Brown sent his condolences to the families of those who had suffered as a result of knife crime in recent weeks.

I am sure that they really appreciate your soundbites Gordon, still if when your government said it was going to be tough on crime, it actually was then maybe some of the poor people killed would still be alive. After all if people knew that the law on offensive weapons would mean a custodial sentence, that they would serve the full term and no early release, then maybe some of the feral fuckers would think twice.

"Every parent will want their teenage sons and daughters not only to be safe but feel safe in our neighbourhoods.

"That's why knives are unacceptable and we've got to do everything in our power to deter them. That's why the average sentence for carrying a knife is rising and that's why there are three times as many people in prison for possession of knives.

Ah, now I have to stop you there Gordon, I know you have your eye on the subject but let me point out that they may well be in prison but for how long? Also three times as many people compared to what? What base figure are you talking about, what time scale? Details man, give us the facts.

"That's why also we are using the powers of stop and search. That's why arches and metal detectors are being used. That's why we need visible policing to back up our safer schools policy, support for parents in their communities and the education programme we are carrying out.

All well and good, but as I stated before had you and that grinning gobshyte who held your office before you had also acted sooner you may not need to have so many arches and metal detectors in use.

"That's why also the whole House will agree that the presumption to prosecute, on which ACPO will be laying down their proposals in the next few days, should now extend to 16-year-olds. That is what the Government proposes."

And what exactly will you do about those under the age of sixteen that carry a blade Gordon, group hug maybe? A stiff talking to and a note telling them off? In short fuck all as usual.

Its always somewhat reassuring that: in times of financial stress, or personal tragedy, I know that I can always depend on Merlin the one eyed magician to:

"Feel my pain"

Or:

"Send his condolences"

Problem solved....

ALL FIXED!!!!

Who the fuck needs Jesus....

They can run all the programs they want to, bring tough new laws and carry on and on. It will not stop, it will only ensure the law-abiding remain defenseless and get killed.

Just that it's worse under leftists, because they don't like punishing criminals.
