New Labour - "The NHS is safe in our hands" - However:Patients 'should not expect NHS to save their life if it costs too much'

The National Institute for Health and Clinical Guidelines (Nice) has ruled for the first time that saving a life cannot be justified at any cost, in a review of its ethical guidelines.

The ruling - made by the board of the controversial organisation - contradicts advice it received from its own 'Citizens Council' which offers advice from a representative sample of the general public.

Nice is facing growing criticism over the number of drugs it is now rejecting which are available throughout Europe and in America. Last week, it refused to sanction four kidney cancer drugs which can double life expectancy.

**I wonder if the patients who are denied drugs (in some areas, but which may be available in others) would be happy at a government that promised them "the best NHS ever" an "NHS safe in their hands" and "Better quality of life" but dependent on cost kept in the small print.

Now telling them that should the New Labour appointed bean counter think their treatment is (or may) run over budget that they can "fuck off and die" - literally.

Maybe it is time that we cut back on government waste, like say our foreign aid budget to shit holes like Sudan which we pay £130 million a year plus to, so they can butcher their own people. That is New Labours ethical foreign policy in action there.

Although I am sure that black African women in Darfur who have been gang raped by Janjaweed(جنجويد) barbarians after their men folk have been slaughtered in front of them along with their children, who if they are "lucky" might be kept alive to be sold as slaves; might think Labours ethical policy leaves something to be desired.

New Labour = Socialist murdering scum.
