Gurkhas win High Court battle to stay in the UK

At fucking last. This case should have never happened in the first place and just shows the duplicity and double standards that New Labour have brought to the UK.

They are quite happy to use these men as "mercenaries" if you will attached to the armed forces, quite happy to pay them a wage for said services and even to tap their names in a monument when they die in some battle on behalf of the British state abroad; but stay here and have rights fuck no.

Bean counters from the Ministry of paperclips have even said that they have failed to demonstrate close ties to the UK, now far be it for me to contradict the mandarins of the government but that is total and utter fucking horse cock.

How much more of a closer tie to you need than dying for a nation that your home nation of Nepal has had ties with us for over 200 years. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gurkha

Now part of this mess has to do with that shifty fucker Geoff Hoon, who claimed that the Nepalese Govt was "very concerned" about retrospective claims and that has been exposed as complete and utter shit by Mr Justice Blake in his summing up.

He stated that "No evidence to support this opposition indeed the evidence consistently points the other way. ", a legalise way of saying that Geoff Hoon is then and is now a complete and utterly contemptible little shit.

Now what I really fail to understand is why they are just so against these men being allowed to settle in the UK, is it some bizarre rascist policy on the part of New Labour against Asians? Hardly as others are allowed to settle, especially if you are a Afghani plane hijacker and they will even let you work as a cleaner at an airport.

They seem to have a problem with ex-soldiers who fight on our side, yet Abu Qatada can claim benefits for a poorly back!link

Some high lights of the judgement:
The result was welcomed by actress Joanna Lumley, whose late father served with the 6th Gurkha Rifles, as a chance to "right a great wrong and wipe out a national shame that has stained us all".
Indeed.

They all applied to settle in the UK but were denied entry by immigration officials because of a policy that barred those who had not served since the Nepalese fighters' base moved from Hong Kong to Kent following the island nation's handover to China in 1997.

Their lawyer argued in the judicial review that all other foreign soldiers serving in the British Army are allowed to settle in the UK and the country owed the Gurkhas a "special debt" of gratitude for their brave service, which saw 50,000 killed and 13 win Victoria Crosses.

Just think of the double dealing by New Labour, men who have given the ultimate price 50,000 times have been told by this shower of shit to fuck off and had to fight for what they should have been given as a right.

The 1997 cut-off policy was suggested by the then Defence Secretary Geoff to the Home Office when it first granted Gurkhas access to the UK in 2004, on the grounds that the Nepalese Government was "very concerned" about retrospective claims.

In reality, Mr Justice Blake said, there was "no evidence to support this opposition indeed the evidence consistently points the other way".

He concluded: "The court is conscious that at the heart of military life and the sacrifices that soldiers make in the discharge of their duties is the military covenant. "Rewarding long and distinguished service by the grant of residence in the country for which the service was performed would, in my judgment, be a vindication and an enhancement of this covenant."

Here here.

The Government has around three months to how to approach the cases of the remaining 2,000 Gurkhas refused entry.
The judgement could also generate further applications from the 40,000 Gurkhas discharged before 1997 who did not previously go through the costly settlement application process.
In a statement, the Home Secretary said: “In light of the court’s ruling we will revise and publish new guidance. We will honour our commitment to the Gurkhas by reviewing all cases by the end of the year.”

Right now New Labour have been exposed yet again as the complete and utter repelent shits that they are, happy to throw away people who have served the nation. Each and every Labour MP is a complete and utter cuntbubble.

Had this gone against these brave men not a one would have spoken up on their behalf. Quite how anyone can vote for these cunts is quite beyond me, indeed if anyone does they must by default agree with this tedious governments stance on the Gurkhas and as such that makes them a comtenptable cuntbubble as well.

I look forward to what our worthless scumfuck Jaquci Spliff has to say on this, no doubt she will waddle her lardy arse into court to argue against them; no doubt after stopping off for a kebab

What makes Snottie McTwat, buffhoon and the rest of shower the shit that comprises the labour government even more despicable is they fought this all the way, costing us the tax payer hundreds of thousands of pounds as well. BUT, as with McBean's budgets, the devil will be in the detail and you can expect the one eyed, shirt lifting snot gobbler and his troupe of inbred morons and fuckwits masquerading as a government to put as many obstacles in the way of the Ghurkas as they possibly can, and to try and make things as difficult as possible out of pure spite because they lost.

Right on, man.

The Gurkhas have shown a loyalty and gallantry that surpasses many other units. You only need to Google them to see that their regiments are conspicuously and consistently valorous.

For our gov'ment to then affront them in such a manner is a niggardly and miserable act of spite, and these men show nothing but deference and humility to the authority they swore to serve. Shame on the gov'ment for making them go through the nonsense of a court case.

They were ripped off on their pensions for years, too.
