Arriva Trains - Fucking shyte.

Today I had the dubious pleasure(an I use the word pleasure in a loose meaning of the word) of travelling on Arriva trains to Cardiff.

First up the train was late, okay the fact that Newport station resembled a building site and had 2 platforms closed may have had something to do with it. A great idea to do repair work on the weekend that there is a rugby match in Cardiff by the way (real good joined up thinking there).

But the delay was nothing compared to the joys of the trip itself. The train a relic from Eastern Europe I think as it was falling apart and dirty and rubbish filled, it stank to high heaven, a sutle mixture of piss and stale human sweat.

Add to that lovely mix that it consisted on one carriage. Yep, we all had to crush on in.

One cunting carriage on a Saturday fucking morning!?! Jesus wept, I know they are a bunch of greedy corporate whores out to bleed every penny out of the customers who have to use their "service" but come on one carriage is just plain taking the piss.

So on we all get, squeezed into conditions so cramp that had we been veal calfs, animal rights types would be protesting the offices of Arriva. Babies start crying, as do kids and hell half the customers looked like they could just as easily have burst into tears.

Probably all thinking about being fiscally raped to travel in such conditions.

Arriva trains more evidence -if it were needed - that we are turning into a banana republic without even the benefit of bananas.

John, these fuckers could not get worse in any damn way what so ever.

God I hate Arriva trains.

There is always scope for things to get worse!

Just look at Nu Labour and the economy as one prime example!!! Just when the commentators can't believe it can get any worse... well you fill in the blanks.

However, remind me again who it was that split up the railways? :-P

Still, let's blame Nu Labour for not making it better...

I always wait for the London to Swasea train....load of carriages...wait for the guard to go past and then plonk myself in first class.

John re Arriva, they have had the sodding contract a fair while. Delays are getting worse, cancellations going up and amount of space on trains going down.

Now I don't see any reduction of my fare to compensate for that.

They even had the nerve to up the sodding fare last year claiming this was for improvements?

Well maybe the managers office at HQ has a fully stocked bar and they have a new motor each year but real improvements I have yet to see from Arriva.

Man, they're all shit.
I travel with First Great Western everyday- at £1800 a year- and it's fucking ghastly.

Privatisation has worked for energy, ISPs, telecomms and so on. It hasn't worked for trains.

Blair categorically PROMISED that trains would be renationalised. The cunt.

Late one, Blair promised many things.

For a so called Catholic he had a fucking loose grasp of the truth.

Mind I am sure part of the problem was caused when transport came under the control of that vomiting lard bucket Prescott.
