Well there is a slight difference between the BNP & Labour that seems to fly past our bovine headed Home Sec. like a kebab past her cavern like mouth, that is that as a member of the Labour party she can join the police, take up a teaching position and not have to worry that she will be hounded out of her job due to her political viewpoint.

When some person who happens to have joined the BNP is thrown out of work, maybe those on the left will be calling for the repeal of the Ballot Act 1872?

Well, I laughed a snot bubble when I heard about this. It amuses me to see Nick Griffin come out with all his claptrap about human rights when the very law he will now rely on is a European law he hitherto opposed: when he threatens legal action based on data protection laws when he has already stated that the list apparently contains people with "no connection" to the BNP and "kids"- so what business the BNP has holding their info is unclear.
Still, with double standards like that show him to be as legitimate a politician as the next man, right kids?

You may well mock, and in truth Iv no more time for Nick Griffin than yourself, but to let New labour dictate the terms of who gains employment in certain fields because of their fundamental beliefs, leads me to pose you the question - Who are the Fascists here?

I'm with Late One on this. Shadenfreude is a terrible thing but when the tinpot fascists of the BNP are involved it's hard to have any sympathy.
I love the way they're blaming the labour party, MI5 and random other groups now.

Reverse- to answer your question,even though it aligns me with not just Labour but also the other mainstream parties, dictating that BNP members may not hold certain jobs is fair enough.
We need our policemen to apply the law even handedly, we need justice to be blind, we need health and education freely avilable to all. Are these not our values? The BNP abrogates this in favour of a prejudicial approach.
I don't want to see prejudice in these fields, else how can I have faith in them? When some lunatic starts blowing people up because he's been treated as a second class citizen, I must be able to say "No, YOU chose this. YOU are guilty."
