Wisdom of the "Glorious Leader": "I have never believed presentation should be a substitute for policy. I do not believe politics is about celebrity."

"I think we're moving from this period when, if you like, celebrity matters, when people have become famous for being famous. I think you can see that in other countries too - people are moving away from that to what lies behind the character and the personality"
Gordon Brown in The Guardian, 14 April 2007.
Gordon seen here discussing troops in Iraq.
Brown discusses the important subject of anglo India relations and terrorism with Shilpa.
Brown & Clooney discussing the Middle East crisis or something and not a political photoshop with the PM posing with a movie star.
Brown does not, repeat not make political points out of his family. They are not props. Unlike the evil David Cameron and other politicians who make points from their families.
Brown & Lisa Snowdon discussing the problems of immigration and mass migration.
Brown & Hamilton discuss global warming.
Brown with Beckham discuss the collapse of sterling and EU relations.
Brown with Addlington discussing the rising superpower that is China.
Brown discusses beer taxes.
Gordon covers the vital subject of being portrayed as hip and cool whilst claiming his eyes sorry eye is on the subject of resolving the recession credit crunch

And so on but remember the glorious unelected PM does not follow the shallow cult of rubbing shoulders with celebs unlike other MP's:
Many were surprised to see a grinning Premier beamed into millions of US households in a prime time appearance on American Idol earlier this month...link
Hat tip to Iain Dale

The budget should be balanced, the Treasury should be refilled, public debt should be reduced, the arrogance of officialdom should be tempered and controlled, and the assistance to foreign lands should be curtailed lest Rome become bankrupt. People must again learn to work, instead of living on public assistance. - Cicero - 55 BC

Yeah I just hate politicians who press the flesh with celebs and rather than being honest and saying they are a fan of who ever it was claim its all "work related" - plus it gives me the excuse to mock our cyclopedian leader.
