Geert Wilders boost in polls.

Link.... THE HAGUE, 27/01/09 - MP Geert Wilders' Party for Freedom (PVV) has advanced strongly in the favour of voters, according to pollster Maurice de Hond. If elections were held now, the PVV would win 20 seats, three more than last week and 11 more than in the Lower House now.

"The ruling of the Amsterdam appeal court that the OM (Public Prosecutor's Office) has to prosecute Geert Wilders has had a clear positive effect on the size of the electoral support for the PVV," according to De Hond. With 20 seats, the PVV is the same size as the conservatives (VVD) this week. "This is the highest score for the PVV since September 2007."

Centre-left D66 also gained this week, by 1 seat to 17. It had also matched this high score in December. "Before that, D66 only stood at this level over 10 years ago," De Hond noted.

Only a year ago, D66 was debating abolishing itself. It only has 3 seats in the House. But as the anti-Wilders party - D66 leader Alexander Pechtold constantly attacks PVV - D66 has found a new future.

Only the Christian democrats (CDA) and Labour (PvdA) would be bigger than the PVV. CDA (41 MPs now) was unchanged from last week at 29 seats and PvdA (33) unchanged at 27. The VVD (22), is polled now at 20 and had 21 last week.

Rita Verdonk's Proud of the Netherlands (TON) drops back this week from 6 to 4 seats. The Socialist Party (SP) slipped from 16 to 14. The leftwing Greens (GroenLinks) stayed at 10 seats. Small Christian party ChristenUnie is at 5, and the smallest Christian party SGP and Party for the Animals (PvdD) are stable at 2.

One wonders why they choose to see him as the problem over religious fanatics?

He says online:
"Who will stand up for our culture if I am silenced?"
Who indeed.

There is a petition online:
“If I have to stand trial, I will not be alone, stand trial alone, but also with the hundreds of thousands of Dutch people who reject the Islamization of the Netherlands, Their opinion is only represented in The Hague [parliament] by the Party for Freedom. Who else will stand for our culture when I have to remain silent? This strengthens me in these harsh days,”
The petition is here.

Not any time soon, after all New Labour have dropped the war on terror.

Never mind that the moslem barbarians who declared war on us have not declared a ceasefire.
