Joined up thinking: Eat health & work at McDonalds.

First up we have this one:

"McDonald's is set to become the UK's largest apprenticeship provider, offering all workers the chance to qualify in "multi-skilled hospitality".

The fast food chain said government funding meant it could offer the scheme to one in eight of its staff this year and up to 10,000 every year from 2010.

The McDonald's apprenticeship will be equivalent to five GCSEs at A* to C."

Yet at the same time we also have The government launching its Change 4 Life advertising campaign. (some £75 million being spent on this.)

Its aim is to create a “lifestyle revolution” by promoting diet and exercise.

So we have a government spending money to help a large corporate chain train the youth to flip burgers whilst telling them that burgets make them a tad lardy and to eat healthy food.

Got to love that joined up socialist thinking....
