Jonathon Porritt, who chairs the government’s Sustainable Development Commission, says curbing population growth through contraception and abortion must be at the heart of policies to fight global warming. He says political leaders and green campaigners should stop dodging the issue of environmental harm caused by an expanding population.
A report by the commission, to be published next month, will say that governments must reduce population growth through better family planning.
What he fails to realise is that the largest baby producers do so on state benefits, so maybe a cut back on that even on the pretext of tree hugging would be a good thing.
Maybe he would care to advise the expanding moslem population that they need to cut back on their population on green grounds, I am sure the only cutback would be his head hitting the ground.
Still no big loss there, one less eco loon.

It isn't hard to see that, if anything, the recent ruling hasn't gone far enough. We need to stop feeding meat not only to hospital patients but to schoolchildren as well. And we should eliminate dairy products and eggs too.
