New Labour problems:

Number 1...The selection of the Labour candidate for a safe seat was postponed last night after it was found that a ballot box had been tampered with. The process of choosing a prospective candidate for Erith and Thamesmead had already been the subject of allegations of “irregularities”.

A London Labour spokesman said that today’s hustings, and vote, had been postponed and an investigation instigated by Ray Collins, the party’s general secretary. The ballot box in question was being stored at the headquarters of the London regional Labour party when it was discovered that it had been interfered with.

Georgia Gould, 22, daughter of Tony Blair’s former pollster Lord Gould of Brookwood, is the favoured candidate of Labour figures such as Tessa Jowell, the Olympics Minister, and Alastair Campbell, the former spin doctor. Today party members in the constituency had been scheduled to select areplacement forJohn Austin, MPfor the southeast London seat.

Yesterday Mr Austin wrote to Mr Collins demanding an investigation into alleged irregularities in the selection process. There is anger among local activists that an outsider is being “parachuted in”....

And of course a number two, this oneone I covered before...Ay up theres trouble at mill....(from the South Yorkshire Times)...TIMES EXCLUSIVE

  • Astonishing in-house 'harassment and bullying' row leaves:

  • Entire Labour Party branch suspended for over a year

  • Detectives drafted in, to probe financial allegations

  • Labour fearing 2010 local election disaster

  • Party bosses ordering wall of silence.
AN ENTIRE South Yorkshire Labour Party branch has been suspended for over a YEAR – after an astonishing in-house row between its members, the Times can reveal.

At one stage, detectives were even drafted into the investigate fraud allegations, amid claims and counter-claims of "bullying and harassment". But no-wrong-doing was found.

The wrangle has resulted in the branch's activities being suspended until 2010 – amid Labour Party fears that the electorate will turn its back on the branch at next year's elections.

**Not much on the internet about this, anyone shed any light in a very dark Labour corner?

Don't know much about this one Fido, but there's similar problems north of the border:

It hard to decide whether to feel sympathy for ordinary grassroot Labour members who keeps getting trampled on by the unions and the Labour executive but then again that's what they've signed up for.

I've just posted your vid on my blog Fido and left a msg at Guido's: it deserves a wide audience than I can give it. So good.

Anonymous, your first link is old hat these days, the second recent so that's fine.

The worst problem here is the alleged (must say that) corruption of postal voting. A company from Northern Ireland was used in Glenrothes to help labour with postal voting issues. I put a post on a few days ago about it.

plus another one courtesy of one of my readers:

Labour are rotten to the core up here it's common knowledge.

So is this how Gordo's headmaster got a cushy sinecure as an MP. Perhaps it's all rehearsal for the biggy?

And we are supposed to trust New Labour implicitly, by leaving the British Euro votes sealed in their boxes over the weekend of June 7/8th, afore they're then counted, and the results are announced on June the 9th.

They're Cardboard seals for fuck sake! - and these loathsome Socialist fuckers are bound to tamper with the ballots - they wont be able to help themselves!

If Labour win I will be demanding a recount, no matter if it is all above board.
