Nick Griffin is entitled to protection from acts of criminality. Furthermore, he is entitled to express his views. But throwing eggs at politicians is not a crime - it is a grand British tradition. I am surprised that a party that claims to be British nationalists is not more appreciative of it. And, if the sight of the BNP on the streets incites citizens to throw eggs, maybe the BNP needs to accept that this is what comes with being a fascist party. I do not want taxpayers' money wasted on elevating Nick Griffin's status and protecting him from mere egg-throwers.
Lets face it she is hardly going to complain is she, after all it is "a grand British tradition". I doubt that Diane would want to see taxpayers money wasted on protecting her from mere egg-throwers.
Heaven forbid that double standards would apply to her with regards eggs.
It is just in the area of private schooling of offspring that double standards apply. like her decision to send her son to the private £10,000 a year City of London School, which she herself described as "indefensible" and "intellectually incoherent", caused controversy and was seen by many as hypocritical not least because she had previously criticised Tony Blair and Harriet Harman for sending their children to selective state schools.
It later emerged that Abbott had in fact applied to a total of three separate private schools for her son, and thus had no intention of sending him to a state school whatsoever.
Or maybe her failing to declare earnings £17,300 on the Register of Members Interests which had been received for appearances on the television programme “This Week”. The Committee upheld the complaint and forced Abbott to apologise to the House.
I wonder if she will be regretting these comments as she takes her clothes off to be cleaned - no doubt on MP's expenses?....

Is it true that if you are black in the UK, you are miraculously incable of being fat or a hypocrite?
Indeed, such crimes as that bypass the minorities.
Although shootings, rape and drug dealing are rather more common.
