THE government minister responsible for the parent vetting debacle has received more than £140,000 in expenses by saying a holiday cottage in west Wales is her main residence.
Baroness Morgan of Drefelin, the children’s minister, was born in London and lived in the capital for the first 42 years of her life before becoming a peer five years ago.
A few months after entering the Lords, however, she bought a small cottage in a popular holiday destination near Cardigan, Wales.
She designated the property as her “main residence” even though she continued to live in her family home in London and the cottage is a five-hour journey from her place of work.
Oink oink oink. No doubt she will be unavailable for comment due to being in the south of France rooting about with the other pigs for truffles.
