Some bits on Jessica Morden MP

morden232333.jpg

** As I do some work for endangered species in my spare time, nothing major just rattle a tin can on occasions for whales and bears etc, I thought that it was about time that I did something for another endangered species that of one of our Newport MP's.

No not the convicted libelist Paul Flynn but that rarest of creatures in the house Jessica Morden(pictured above). Now this shy and elusive creature - sounds like some nature program featuring David Attenborough - is never, or rather rarely seen in its habitat of the House of Commons. Some sightings are said to have been reported of it in Newport doing work for voters, but these can not be confirmed.

Indeed the last reference I can find to her in the house is dated 21 Nov 2005. link to they work for you.com

So if anyone has spotted the elusive and soon to be extinct - as in removed from office after the next election - Jessica Morden can they please e-mail me with some details on her sighting by the media. Although I have heard that if cornered this can be a dangerous animal as wildlife spotter Ron Davies can well testify. He was mauled by the Jessica Morden in a meeting with the Labour party elite. Some facts on this creature follow:

  • Has spoken in 7 debates since the General Election — 486th out of 645 MPs. Not bad when you think that the election was in May 2005 and she has spoken thats once a month(including May) up until Nov 2005. Since then we have the sound of silence...
  • Has received answers to 10 written questions since the General Election — 382nd out of 645 MPs.
  • Has attended 94% of votes in parliament — 35th out of 644 MPs. (From Public Whip)
  • Never rebels against their party in this parliament — 204th most rebellious of 635 MPs. As we can see from this its always good to have a backbench MP ready to rubber stamp policy for the government. After all we dont want any of this rebellious nonsense from our all wimmin shortlist MP's. (From Public Whip)
**On the libelist and convicted criminal Paul Flynn who due to his lack of morals still sits in the house, well he has not replied to my e-mail, guess even though he has a large site online which is unusual for MP's he doesn't believe in debate - guess that makes him perfect for New Labour really.

Still I shall keep going on letting people know about his conviction for libel, and as he lacks the moral fiber to do the decent thing and resign, we the public need to vote him out at the next election and keep the pressure up on him to get him out of the house, after all do we really need convicted criminals on the back benches? I am all in favour of the rehabilitation of criminals but is the mother of all parliments the place for them, after all this is where MP's make descisions over peoples
lives on a day to day basis?

As he has shown poor judgement in making comments that were untrue about a firm and when asked to withdraw them did not - lets not forget an untrue alligation against a company can lead to financial ruin along with the total destruction of peoples position in the community, and after being found guilty lacked the decency to quit his post. Paul Flynn should quit NOW!!!

His apology:

Recently Paul Flynn was involved in a libel case where he made comments about an endowment pensions company, the result of which he had to pay out damages. He was sued after he posted an attack on such companies on his website, claiming they were out to "re-rob" the victims of endowment mis-selling by dishonestly over-charging them for their services.
But he made the mistake of referring to well-regarded company Endowment Justice Ltd, which represents mis-selling victims on a "no-win, no-fee" basis. The company and its directors sued and at London's High Court Mr Flynn made a public apology for the "unjustified attack" on the claimants' integrity.
The MP as part of the settlement put the following statement on his website: On this website in February this year, I made certain statements referring to Endowment Justice Limited, one of the companies which offers assistance in obtaining compensation for those people who were mis-sold endowment policies. I have been campaigning against companies providing professional services in relation to endowment policy compensation claims, but my facts about Endowment Justice were incorrect. As a result, I wrongly accused the company and its directors Nick Keca, Marianne Fitzjohn and Graeme Webber of having previously mis-sold endowment policies and now dishonestly overcharging those self-same victims to help them obtain compensation. I am happy to clarify that neither Endowment Justice Ltd or any of its directors were ever involved in any aspect of endowment policy selling. It was therefore false and unfair to suggest that they had profited from the historic mis-selling of endowment policies. I was also incorrect in stating that Endowment Justice, which offers its services in recovering compensation on a “no-win, no-fee” basis, could charge its customers up to 40% of any compensation gained. Endowment Justice in fact charge customers 17.5% plus VAT or 22.5% plus VAT of any compensation gained. I was wrong to give the unintended impression that the company or its directors acts in any way improperly or unlawfully in providing services to those seeking compensation for endowment policy mis-selling. I would like to apologise to Endowment Justice for my allegations, and to Mr. Keca, Ms. Fitzjohn and Mr. Webber for any embarrassment or distress caused by my false remarks.

(2009 update - her expenses)
New Labour rubber-stamp that has never voted against the Government, who was foisted on the people of Newport from an all women shortlist; as a reward for her work in removing Ron "badger" Davies.

She oversaw the show trial on the part of the party.

Jessica Morden claimed £1,068 a month in mortgage interest payments in 2007-08. In the same year put through claims of £1 for cleaning wipes, and £16.82 for pasting table and spoons

She also voted to fuck over the brave Gurkhas, she voted no for allowing them to stay in the UK. Despite them laying their lives down for this land.

Strangely enough Jessica Morden also voted to save local post offices, yet voted with the government to close them.

Worried about local votes? She should be.

Newport deserves better than a rubber stamp.

Popped a wee small comment in the local paper. Both MP's have a right of reply, unlike one I don't over moderate like Pravda on crack.
