2nd in command at Al Qaida - Video Broadcast

CAIRO, Egypt (AP) - The deputy leader of al-Qaida called President Bush a failure and a liar in the war on terror in a video statement released Friday, and he compared Pope Benedict XVI to the 11th century pontiff who launched the First Crusade.

** Nothing like harping back over old history, seems that our jihadist pal cant see the difference between what happened in the 11th century and whats happening today.

“Can’t you be honest at least once in your life, and admit that you are a deceitful liar who intentionally deceived your nation when you drove them to war in Iraq,” Ayman al-Zawahri said in a portion of the video released by the Washington-based SITE Institute.

Al-Zawahri also criticized Bush for continuing to imprison al-Qaida leaders in prisons, including al-Qaida No. 3 Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, the alleged Sept. 11 mastermind who was captured in Pakistan in March 2003.

** Must sting losing a lot of the top leaders, still plenty more cells at Club Gitmo for the rest of you loons.

“Bush, you deceitful charlatan, 3 1/2 years have passed since your capture of Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, so how have you found us during this time? Losing and surrendering?” he said, according to the SITE Institute.

Al-Zawahri's remarks about Benedict were a clear response to the pontiff's comments earlier this month that sparked outrage across the Muslim world. In that speech, Benedict cited a Byzantine emperor who characterized some of the teachings of the Prophet Muhammad as "evil and inhuman," particularly "his command to spread by the sword the faith."

"If Benedict attacked us, we will respond to his insults with good things. We will call upon him, and all of the Christians to become Muslims who do not recognize the Trinity or the crucifixion," al-Zawahri said, according to the SITE Institute.

**So much for your own prophets words about respecting other faiths...?

Al-Zawahri also called a U.N. resolution to send peacekeepers into Sudan's war-torn Darfur region a "Crusader plan" and implored the Muslims of Darfur to defend themselves.

** These are the same peace loving people who are committing genocide against the people of Darfur...

"Do not allow the government of Khartoum to interfere, nor the governments of the Western Crusaders to interfere in your business. Be ready to stop the Crusaders campaign against you," he said, according to the SITE Institute.

Still hitting his head a bit too hard on the prayer mat. Strange how this comes after the other top Al Qaida loon admitted that the wars not going to well...

CAIRO, Egypt - The new leader of al-Qaida in Iraq said in an audiotape posted on the Internet Thursday that more than 4,000 foreign insurgent fighters have been killed in Iraq since the U.S.-led invasion in 2003.

**Keep em coming less dole scum over here in the UK and we have plenty of bullets left.

"The blood has been spilled in Iraq of more than 4,000 foreigners who came to fight," said the man, who identified himself as Abu Hamza al-Muhajir — also known as Abu Ayyub al-Masri — the leader of al-Qaida in Iraq, though the voice could not be independently identified.

The Arabic word he used indicated he was speaking about foreigners who joined the insurgency in Iraq, not coalition troops.

It was believed to be the first major statement from insurgents in Iraq about their losses.

Oh and here is a bit on the peacefull and ever so fucking tolerant ROP,

Have you noticed that not much attention was paid to Zawahiri's video this week? Not in the MSM, not on Fox, not in the blogs. Yes many of us posted on it, but no real interest. They have gotten 'old hat', with one every month or so, they are getting old, blah blah blah. Is that the best they can do? If so, then the war on terror seems to be working, no?
