Talk Talk/Dial/Yes Loans - The dire telecoms company.

Now some people who check links out will have noticed that I have linked to the Talk Talk Hell website. The reason for this was that for a short time I worked for a company that had the CPW contract for customer services - ie sorting out basic voicemails and other queries oh an giving out numbers for the broadband helpline at 10p a minute.

Poor though that was it was fun and I did enjoy doing my best to sort out the frustrations of the customers and although the outsourced company I worked for was run by a convicted fraudster by the name of Keith Chorlton, well not run by him but the ginger haired one was there a lot although as a now law abiding citizen he would not be running a company and possibly putting himself back in prison - check the disqualified directors on the DTI site for more details on that one.

But having checked back after a few weeks it seems that the goons and assorted heavys at CPW are a tad annoyed with the Talk Talk Hell site -a company owned by the infamous Charles Dunstone - anyone who has seen any consumer affairs program in the UK will know that name, or if you have Talk Talk as your telecoms company you will again know and love that name(sic) - I would say about having the broadband but thats a sore point with many a customer and former Talk Talk customer.

Below is a post from the Talk Talk Hell site...check out the comments by someone called Fido...(wonder who that might be...) - Finally before I post the bit from the Talk Talk Hell site a little bit on the company I worked for Dial.

They are in breach of UK law due to the fact that they do not pay holiday pay, Even though under UK law workers are entitled to the following:

There is a minimum right to paid holiday, your employer may offer more than this. The main things you should know about holiday rights are:

• you get a minimum of four weeks
• you start building up holiday as soon as you start work
• your employer can control when you take your holiday
• you get paid your normal pay for your holiday
• when you finish a job, you get paid for any holiday you’ve not taken
• 
  

Now I want to add a few points, seems that the mafia goons of Mr Dunstone claim that comments on the Talk Talk Hell site were untrue, really so is Mr Dunstone and co claiming that my comments that have been removed are untrue? Oh do I detect a possible libel case on my part in the offing?

Anyone the post is below and the link to Talk Talk Hell is on the sidebar - check it out and advise everyone you know NOT to ever use Talk Talk. From the bits that have been removed it would appear that they dislike comments on the lack of broadband, failures in customer services and well any comments that dont agree with the Pravda style line of Mr Dunstones "blog" on the CPW site. I may as well begin with the good. I noticed a jump in traffic yesterday. That’s because we got a blurb in the technology Guardian yesterday:

The petition is a bit difficult to find at the moment due to the site’s redesign. There is a reason for this, which is the bad thing. Things will slowly start reappearing as I assess them for potential damage.

On September 13th I received an e-mail from YFouquet at the Carphone Warehouse. They claimed the following:

1. The blog claimed defamatory statements
2. The blog was an incitement to harass employees
3. The blog was violating the Data Protection Act of 1998
4. The logo was infringing on their copyright.

I disagree with a lot of these things but have made what I consider to be reasonable edits in an attempt to cooperate. I haven’t sent it yet but below is the e-mail to their legal team. Several of these edits were mentioned specifically in the original letter.

I’ve had to remove or edit several posts proclaiming to be from Carphone Warehouse Employees. CPW claims that all statements were untrue and misrepresentative of the company’s practises.

I am particularly annoyed they keep calling me sir.

So you guys know, I have no intention of closing this site. We’ve had various comments from people who have been helped enormously by the information here, which is the intent behind setting it up in the first place. I’m just going to have to be a bit more vigilant when it comes to the comments and what is posted.

Here’s what I’m sending:

I have edited the site to address your specific concerns as detailed in your letter and other possible causes for concern. If the listed edits are insufficient, please can you provide me with an exhaustive list containing the direct link, part of post you find infringes on your rights and reason you (the Carphone Warehouse) believe it is defamatory (and not simply vulgar.) I will then address them accordingly on a case by case basis.

I hope we can work together to resolve potential issues in the future.

Here is one time saving tip if you have transfered over from BT and see the light about Talk Talk in the cooling off period, BT can stop the transfer safe your time and money call BT on 0800 800 111 and they save save ye from the evil grasp of Charlie D.

What has getting the phone answered by a ‘Mohammed’ got anything to do with how bad TalkTalk is?

We’re all here: Muslims, Hindu’s, Sikhs, Buddists, Christians, Atheists, all taking part in the one thing that we believe - that TalkTalk is great and using that to move forward and provide the best customer service, sure, many of us will have accents, many of us will speak differently because we are all different but one thing is for sure, we are unified to present the same level of service to our customers.
