In "What I learnt from my stay with a Muslim family" in The Observer, Tory leader David "spam" Cameron joins the large crowd of politicians, media figures(BBC), and law enforcement officials and of course tofu eating swivel eye'd Guardian readers who believe that "Islam" or any related word should not be used in the same sentence with "terrorism."
This is stupidity and what is worse it ignores the basic point behind why people are carrying out these acts, their religion. They believe that their view of their religion gives them the "god given" right according to them to carry out these acts.
When a terrorist blows him or herself up with a cry of "god is great", should we ignore the religious drive behind the lunatic destroying themself and other people? Do we ignore the fact that these mentally ill people see anyone who has a differing view as a kufir(unbeliever) and as such a fair target for their perverse view of Islam. In that I also include moderate muslims who are targeted as well by the religious zelots.
Getting slightly off track here I shall bring up the cartoons, these cartoons which have led to riots, demo's and threats of jihad etc from extremists threw the west in confusion. Out of this the fear in the media to offence was made very clear to muslims. You hear newspaper and tv editors speak on this and they say they do not wish to offer offence to islam. No that is not the correct answer, the correct answer is to say that they did not wish to die. That is why they buried their self worth and gave in to blackmail, yet claimed it was all about respect for religion.

Anyway back to Cameron. No amount of head burying in the sand on the David Cameron and others will change the fact that religion is used as a reason for terror, in fact such as soft view will be seen by the global jihadists as a sign of weakness and encourage them all the more in their sick aims.

That in turn should be backed up by more than just soundbites of strong talk from the government. A failure to act on the part of people like Cameron and even New Labour on this will just spread the divide and "Balkanise" our nation on ethnic/religious lines.
Alas I can not see this happening, expect more soundbites, some more hoodie/muslim hugging from Dave Cameron and another plot or three by terrorists of a certain religion starting with the letter "M"

Oh Dave, we have bent and bent and bent to their needs. Sharia mortgages, sharia courts running along side our legal system, what exactly is left David? Hand chopping after Friday prayers? Grow a pair you Tory prat.
