DOCTORS and health workers have been banned from eating lunch at their desks - in case it offends their Muslim colleagues. Health chiefs believe the sight of food will upset Muslim workers when they are celebrating the religious festival Ramadan.

The lunch trolley is also to be wheeled out of bounds as the 30-day fast begins next month.

But staff and politicians branded the move political correctness gone mad and warned that it was a step too far.

Bill Aitken, the Scottish Conservative justice spokesman, said: “This advice, well-meaning as it may be, is total nonsense.

“It is the sort of thing that can stir up resentment rather than result in good relations.”

The new guidance comes in the wake of the failed terror attacks on Glasgow and the death of suspect Kafeel Ahmed, 27.

**So they have decided that by being good dhimmi's and not offering offence to moslems by crawling on their bellys they will be safe from another terror attack. I have to say that as someone who lives in a moslem area, I have never heard one, not a single one say that they were ever offended by non moslems eating during Ramadan.

Health chiefs in Lothian and Glasgow will give all employees time off to pray and to celebrate Eid, which marks the end of Ramadan.

But Greater Glasgow and Clyde as well as Lothian NHS boards also issued the advice, warning workers not to take working lunches, and said all vending machines should be removed from areas where Muslims work.

**Nice to see your tax money at work resolving the "major" issues of the NHS, like say patient care, resolving MRSA and other problems. Hell no, its pr fluff and nonsense which only alienates non moslems. And what are the odds that the moslem staff get paid to pray and celebrate Eid? Bet they won't be paying staff of other faiths to take time off to pray. Mind you were I a moslem and some ass hat offered me money to pray I would take it and laugh my ass off at the dumb fuck.

One senior consultant said: “What next? Are we going to have advice on how to deal with Catholics during Lent? “This kind of thing does more harm than good.”

The guidance, which was sent round many organisations, was produced by Glasgow consultancy Meem, which advises on Muslim issues and counts the Scottish Parliament among its clients.

**You can bet that this sort of fawning would never happen for say Catholics or any other faith, but bring in a pressure group like Meem and the veiled(sic) threat of bomb attacks and you can extort what you want in the name of tolerance.

NHS Lothian said: “We have recently agreed a quality and diversity strategy and as a responsible and pro-active employer we will continue to promote a positive culture which recognises and respects diversity both in our workforce and in the people we serve.” - They may well have added, Inshalla and the peace of the prophet be upon you to that crawling comment. I assumed(wrongly) that we were once a free society and if someone wanted to eat he/she could eat in their lunchtime and people of other faiths would have to accept that, something called tolerance. Alas the pc dhimmi scum and the jihadists at Meem see tolerance as a one way street.

The Brussels mayor, the Socialist Freddy Thielemans, has, on 9th of August 2007 sent out a press release in which he has banned a demonstration with a minute of silence to commemorate the victims of 9/11 on the 11th sept in Brussels. The reason for the prohibition is that he says he cannot guarantee public safety and that he won’t disturb the Is-lamic section of the population in Brussels.

This is banned.
But this is legitimate protest.
Deep down the dhimmi's know the truth.
